[SOLVED] [XZ] [CM 10.1.2] slow screen wake up - Xperia Z Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi.
Ive installed Cyanogenmod 10.1.2 official stable version yesterday. Everything is amazing, theres just one little nasty thing.
When I lock my screen it takes 3-4 secs to wake up again, this is really annoying. Anyone else with this problem? Is this / will this be fixed in any CM or FreeXperia release?
Can I somehow return to stock Android lockscreen, cause it seems that CM has its own Lockscreen app.
Please help, i wanna stay on CM!
EDIT:
For anyone with this problem: I updated to 10.1.3 RC1 using CM Updater and its gone!

It will be fixed in 10.1.3 which will be out in a few days. For now you should use the latest nightly:

FXP (FreeXperia) is exactly the same as Cyanogenmod, they are responsible for developing CM for the entire xperia-range.
As for installation, you'll need to fastboot flash boot boot.img from the latest nightly as it is a newer kernel, then wipe/factory reset.

[Q] MIUI-4 Wont Start after CM9 RC2 Patches

Hello,
I have been using MIUI 4 (2.8.3) by nims11 but only problem that i encounter is that if i apply the CM9 RC2 patches by Maclaw which fairly fix the camera, my cell will start but will hung on [mi] logo and will remain there for 20-25 minutes and will vibrate once but cell won't start.
Can anybody tell me what i am doing wrong here?
I am applying patches by mounting system, and also tried to install fresh ROM and patch after that, but nothing happens and it stays the same.
Anybody got a fix or suggestion for this?

Miui have a heavily modded framework that means that any cm9/10 related patches or mods wont work.
This was sent from outerspace
But in 2.3.7 the Camera is working quite fine with flash but in 2.8.3 , its not... Anyway, i will stick with Maclaws CM9 until its stable release is out
Many thanks.

Make a full wipe through recovery (data, caches and system(!) ) and try to flash again.

I figured out the problem the both new nightly are just broken. The nightly from the 4th is working good

Yeah right, I was getting into boot problem on 6th nightly too. I go to CM's web site and found out the 6th and 7th nightly are almost 10mb less than the 4th Sep Nightly. I am not sure if it is just me to have problem, but it turns out it is not. Hope they really check and look into it soon.

You'll most likely have to play with your kernel settings.

How do i do that?
I had same issues with CM10.2, default kernel, default settings. For me CM10.2 is just a transition ROM between JB and KK and Stable version is more like last Nightly before CM team moved to KK development. CM10.1 runs better on Captivate, has more device specific options and is stable indeed.

CWM USB/CWM Problems

Hi,
I've got a pretty scary problem on my hands. I tried to install CyanogenMod on my Xperia T trough CWM this morning.
I flashed my device first, wiped it with CWM itself. Then I tried to install CM from a zip I put on my SD-card before. All seemed fine at first. It said
finding update package
opening update package...
Then it just goes back to the main menu of CWM.
When I restarted, I noticed I now have a softbrick, I can only use fastboot and CWM, I tried multiple versions of CM, but they all didn't work.
So I tried to mount USB storage to CWM and that doesn't work either. It just says sdcard 0 (and 1) shared - unmounted.
What can I do to get my phone working again? I really want CM, but if that's not an option, than thats fine....
My bootloader is unlocked, and I am using CWM 6.0.4.5;
I got some error messages out of the log, not sure if theyre helpful
I: Checking for extendedcommand...
I: Skipping execution of extendedcommand, file not found...
I: Can't partition non-vfat: /storage/sdcard0(ext4)
I: Can't partition non mmcblk device: /devices/platform/msm_sdcc.3/mmc_host/mmc1

My bootloader is unlocked, checked through the service shenanigans.
I'm using CWM 6.0.4.5
Hope it helps you helping me!
EDIT: Succesfully flashed android stock 4.3 onto the device, still doesn't explain why CWM didn't work. Looking for a way to install CM 10/11.

Flash stock 4.1.2
Root it and then try with this CWM: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2012738
Choose v7 or v8.
DON'T download v9 because it's buggy.
Then you can install CM again
Anyway I suggest to try Omnirom for our beloved T ... since CM has still the blue screen bug that developers haven't fixed yet

EDIT: Do you recommend a nightly (omnirom) I can't find a stable anywhere...
Thank you guys for trying to help me out, I really appreciatie it, will keep updating!

FreeXperia team is who develops and lets CM work properly on our T, so the answer is: YES, you will get the same bugs unfortunately

FXP zips are good, I'm just trying to explain that every FXP release is melted with the next CM nightly any time.
Omnirom is a different project and is very stable for Xperia T, since there are developers that are working for this rom nowdays..

FXP and CM generally have the same bugs, but last time I was on FXP's CM11, I can't think of any bug aside from the terrible battery life, which might not be the same for the T since most, if not all, developers have a T (I've got a TX).
On the other hand, I'd recommend you look for ROMs first on XDA instead of through Google or the ROM developer's website, since on XDA there are developers that actually read the comments in threads and in my experience, fix problems faster. For instance, @tilal6991 has this ROM, which I don't know if it is on the official OmniROM download page, but it has had some recent updates that fix the blue screen, MHL Hdmi, and in my case, the ROM I'm on also borrows files from his ROM, which fixes battery drain while on WiFi, something that has NOT been fixed on FXP (which makes me wonder about how they "develop").

If you havent done so already try re-downloading the Gapps zip as it could be corrupt in some way, other than that it could be the recovery version so maybe try philz/TWRP if you have them.
Id strongly recommend having a look at the PA gapps packages as they are reguarly updated and offer a range of choices.

I don't think the file was corrupted sicne i've checked the md5sum and was correct.I'll try to follow your suggestions and post the results here.
By the way i've just tried the lastest CM 11 dev version but nothing changed so i guess it does not depend on CM 11 version.Could a different kernel make the difference here?
It shouldnt do I wouldnt have thought.
