Yeah right, I was getting into boot problem on 6th nightly too. I go to CM's web site and found out the 6th and 7th nightly are almost 10mb less than the 4th Sep Nightly. I am not sure if it is just me to have problem, but it turns out it is not. Hope they really check and look into it soon.

CM9 nightly with camera?

Uild thereHi all...
I would like to know if the partially working camera can be integrated into the nightly cm9 builds...
Or if it cannot be done early, can I just use the camera.apk file(from working rom) and overwrite it into my latest nightly?
Will it work that way?
PS btw I reverted back to nightly builds as the stock browser crashed whenever I tried to search thru the address bar....also I was playing gta 3 without any problem but in the working camera build the game crashes whenever I cross one city into the other..
And the check box found at login prompts disappeared completely after I reflashed the latest nightly build...wish I could get some help....

The camera on the touchpad sucks anyway. If you want to use Skype, boot into webOS.
I too tried that rom, but went back to the official nightlies. To me, they're much more stable.

according to Mr Dor, the camera fix will be merged to the next CM9 nightly, and this camera fix has been submitted in CM10 also. So you can wait for the next CM9 nightly or CM10 preview to enjoy using camera :good:
go to this thread and follow directions on the last page for installation of prev11.. it is for the nighttlys and completes cm9
looks like "cm-9-20121118-NIGHTLY-tenderloin" has updated with camera fix. Can someone confirm?

I think you still have to flash (preview 13) on top of the official nightly. That's what I did. It's supposed to merge, IDK why it hasn't yet. Maybe by the next nightly.....

Yes I have. I had to flash dorregaray's camera patch on top. It's working fine.
Here's the link to the camera patch: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1905177

[Q][i9001] CM10 not booting

Hi, I have an SGSplus (i9001) and I've been using arco68's and ivendor's CM9 ROMs for a few months now. Right now I'm using ivendor's latest RC9 plus CastagnaIT's ExtremeUV (without any OC, I'm using the standard 245-1401 MHz range) and it's fairly stable.
I always had some problems in real-time performance: it seems to me that when there is a process background the application in foreground becomes incredibly sluggish, maybe needing 10 seconds to input a single key… then, after a bit, the background process finishes his business and things go back to normal. Using BetterBatteryStats I have pinpointed a couple of bad application and removed them and now this happens rarely enough (but still happens). But this is not my question…
On Friday I decided to try ivendor's new CM10 alpha 5 and it simply doesn't boot: no "blue boy" loader at all.
I tried both the straight ROM and with the addition of CastagnaIT's kernel. I tried both with and without google apps (but I guess that doesn't matter at all, since that's userland stuff and I'm not seeing the kernel boot yet)
I put CM9 ivendor+CastagnaIT(extremeOC) back and everything is back to normal, but I'm wondering why CM10 is not booting; I think I've done it all correctly… using the new CWM 6.0.1.9 and all.
What could it be?

I tried with CWM 5.5.0.4 but it also doesn't work.
Doesn't hang on boot like it did with 6.0.1.9, but just resets back into CWM5 menu after a few seconds.
Oh, nice, it also resets back to CWM5 using the CM9 zip file which always worken with CWM6.0.1.2.
(I guess I'll use Odin to put CWM6 back and CM9 with that and be content with that)

Yep. That's what it did.
Now I've put CWM6.0.1.9 back with Odin and using that I managed to put ivendor CM9 RC5 back, so that I can put AOKP rom in the /sdcard and try it.
Whops. I guess that the changelog might explain what was happening.

[SOLVED] [XZ] [CM 10.1.2] slow screen wake up

Hi.
Ive installed Cyanogenmod 10.1.2 official stable version yesterday. Everything is amazing, theres just one little nasty thing.
When I lock my screen it takes 3-4 secs to wake up again, this is really annoying. Anyone else with this problem? Is this / will this be fixed in any CM or FreeXperia release?
Can I somehow return to stock Android lockscreen, cause it seems that CM has its own Lockscreen app.
Please help, i wanna stay on CM!
EDIT:
For anyone with this problem: I updated to 10.1.3 RC1 using CM Updater and its gone!

It will be fixed in 10.1.3 which will be out in a few days. For now you should use the latest nightly:

Good News! Thanks! where do you get this from?
I dont use FreeXperia ive installed stable cyanogenmod from get.cm. Can i just wipe and install freexperia nightly from zip to update to freexperia?

FXP (FreeXperia) is exactly the same as Cyanogenmod, they are responsible for developing CM for the entire xperia-range.
As for installation, you'll need to fastboot flash boot boot.img from the latest nightly as it is a newer kernel, then wipe/factory reset.

I found problem on tonight CM nightly. DON'T INSTALL!!!!

Hi all,
I update tonight CM10.2 Nightly(cm-10.2-20130906-NIGHTLY-p880.zip) via OTA and it almost brick my phone!!! The reason I update it coz it said it has a fix of our P880, but anyways.. I installed it, it only boot to show LG logo and then nothing (blank screen). I currently don't have any sdcard on my hand. So the only solution is go back to CWM, recover with older rom via sideload. Holy! It takes me 4 hrs to make the phone to work again..
Just a warning for you guys. Maybe it is just happen to me, but If you are brave enough, give it a try. I also found the latest nightly rom is 10MB less than the previous. so beware!!!
Hope it helps..
Mike
I found this via Google, but I actually had the same issue with my nexus 4.

So have you get your device back to work? If you have not get it working again, I can share how I did it. well... just curious, why you need CM for nexus device, they have the latest and most stable Android from Google already....Well, it might be off topics, but I am curious with nexus user to have CM.

Performance, more customization, more tweaks? There are a lot of reasons. The fix is already applied to the next nightly and issue has been described on CM nightly thread. It's always good to have a backup or at least another nightly zip downloaded (even from CM updater) is case of emergency.

Thanks, I am not owning a Nexus, so I have no idea how do the performance, customization and tweaks can be done more from CM with Nexus's android. My sister has an Nexus 4, I found it is almost the same as what CM does.
Anyways, before I am getting into this Nightly(nightmare). I thought the CM OTA has a backup ROM on my device already. You will notice it that you need to manually delete your previous update. But after this happened, I am not able to found the previous downloaded rom from CWM (let me know if I am wrong).
You are absolutely right, it is just a nightly. It is also said use it on your own risk. So I just warning ppl who want to install it. I am not complain about it. Hope you will understand. I am still new to CM, Thanks for your reply and help =)

Yeah, I flashed an old nightly. I use CM partially because it's more customizable, but also because the OTA 4.3 kept bootlooping and CM10.2 works well (apart from this one nightly).
Same here, 906 and 907 all can't boot properly, could anyone explain why and how to fix?

Hi,
I have no idea why it happen,
But if you have a MicroSD card, you can
1, download the 4th Sep nightly from CM webpage and save it onto your MicroSD
2, turn off your phone and turn on with your vol down button
3, flash the 4th Sep ROM from external SD.
It is the easiest way to do so.
If you don't have SD card or your phone's SD card slot is broken.. you will need to flash it from sideload. You will need a PC, USB cable, Android SDK with correct ADB driver etc. Let me know again if you get into this case.
Hope it helps, Thanks

HTC One CyanogenMod Screenshot

Hello,
I flashed yesterday;s CM11 and everything is working perfectly fine but I am unable to take screenshots. I tried using some free apps as well and noticed it just takes a black screen image. Anyone have any ideas? or should I jus flash the new nightly? Kid of want to stay away from reflashing since I have to set everything up again.
Thanks

I think CM 11 is still in nightly. So there might be some missing features and bugs. Try waiting for stable version to be released
