I flashed PA from Cynogen and all was working well when suddenly my signal went to 0. I thought that there was no reception but after sometime noticed that it was still like that. Tried this sim on another phone and it worked. Tried a new sim on this phone and it was not working. Did a clean flash of PA, flashed CM. The problem is still there. Any one else faced this issue before?

Hi,I seem to be having this problem on CM10 that the SIM card occasionally disconnects and the phone prompts me to restart.Is it a bug?

i had a similar problem, in original CM10, I lost connection to the network, and had to reboot. Also coldnt do any tyask SIM related. Changed to JellyBam (which is CM10 based) and had no problems.
Baseband, and others were fine.

you can try to flash a new/old baseband.... im not sure but this could help, im also having these problems .... sometimes i hav no signal and i can't get calls .....

for a while no one can call me or i can make a call.
my research gave following results:
enable 2G only: i can take/make calls, mms not working
enable 3G: no one can call me/ i can not make calls - internet is working
Statusmessages: Network busy
Caller gets routed to mailbox or gets busy-signal
i thought, there might be a rom issue or mistake with bb,
i was using pac19.9.0
made full restore with progmaq-default-cm-10-20121105 - problem persists
reverted back to gb with all features: gb partitioning, gb-bl, gb-rom - problem persists
changed several times bb from v10d to v20s, v20m, v30b, v28g, v20b (with 4 file-flash) - problem persists
yesterday tried going to ICS 28g - problem persists
has anyone any idea?
... i don't know what else to try

Is your IMEI displayed correctly? Look in About phone->Status or enter *#06# in the dialler to check.

when i went sleeping there i got an idea ...
there was something i haven't tried ...
flashing full original kdz from lg
so i downloaded several versions, i got a lot of errors when flashing kdz with lg-offline-flash
so extracted and tried with smartflash an after a lot of tries ... i flashed at least goodbye-rom to try if it works
and it worked now - but i lost my imei - so went to hiddenmenu, activate cp-usb and typed in my imei...
now all is working again ... i'm so happy, i'm feeling glad, i got sunshine in my head .......

I will tell my problem short and quick:
I was using the Vanir Custom Rom 4.4.2 with normal gapps and was updating it once a week.
One day my connection was gone (wasn't able to make any phone calls, sending sms and
using the mobile data). So I was looking for some information and figured out that Android
4.4.4 was released a few weeks ago. So I tought there was a complication between the
android version I was using and the gapps. So I did a factory, cache and dalvik cache reset,
flashed the new Vanir version and installed the right gapps. But the problem still occured.
What i've tried:
1. Different Sim Cards. Tried another sim for about 30 minutes, no problem there while
I was still using the Vanir rom.
2. Using different Roms with the old sim card, the A.I.C.P. rom for example but the problem
got even worse.
3. Yesterday I installed the Lego Rom with 4.4.4 and using slim gapps 4.4.3, the problem
seems fixed so far. It occured only once today.
4. Just in case to make sure, I tried the Beanstalk Rom with 4.4.4 and the correct gapps for.
Somehow I had better connection with this rom than with the Lego one.
I stick to the Lego Rom now but it runs way smoother than the Beanstalk for me. Also I like
the theme when the play store is black instead of white .
My question now is, did some1 had the same issues? Or even better if some1 has a
resolution for it.

Everybody's got different ril problems
During your trials you said that using a different sim card didn't give any problems for the time running.
Can't you check that out first since most carriers will change sim for no price?
After that you can try changing ril using flying_bear's tutorial

Heres the problem: My HTC One m7 (international version) is acting strange:
* Sometimes when I turn on the display I have to enter my sim pin, as if it had rebooted itself, only I know it hasnt. It also happens regurarly when Im using the phone *poff* all of a sudden "enter sim pin".
* When switching from wifi to 3g/LTE it lags for minutes. It drops all connections, including regular gsm, and I have to enter sim pin maybe half the time I swith from wifi. Switching from 3g/LTE to wifi doesnt present the same issues.
* Its extremely laggy when these things happen, otherwise it works fine.
What I have tried so far:
* Old backup of Liquidsmooth 4.4. Works fine for a few days then these same problems starts occuring.
* Uninstalling apps. Thought I was onto something when I uninstalled SwiftKey and it worked perfectly for about 3 days! But then the problems came back...
* Tried other roms but I usually end up with the "unfortunately the process com.android.systemui has stopped" when the rom is up and fully booted. Its a loop that just continues (when pressing ok) so I cant do anything but reboot and try again. I tried probably 5 versions of Liquidsmooth but also Beanstalk and other aosp roms, even Lollipop versions (the liquidsmooth one worked but the same sim pin problems occurred). Havent tried any sense based roms. Also tried several versions of TWRP, official and unofficial. Still ends up with the com.android.systemui problem.
* Tried resetting permissions, wipe cache/dalvik and also wiped the entire sdcard. Used adb/flash to transfer new rom for installation.
So I'm basically out of ideas and pondering going back to stock and sending it in for repair, unless someone here has some tips since I'd rather try myself first.

maybe your sim is faulty. try to get a new one from your provider. or it just has a bad contact in your phone.
about the lagging: did you try a clean flash? is your storage full? my phone gets pretty laggy when my storage is nearly full..
Hey thanks for your reply! However I dont think its the sim card, and as I mentioned I clean flashed several times with several twrp version and also twice with wiping all data on my sdcard...
Sorry if I can't offer a concrete solution, but I had similar issues (especially the first one, but also lag when switching networks) on my HOX+. Turns out it was the sim.
Try to test another sim before returning, and at least try a sense based rom. Since you say that it works without problem for a few days with Liquidsmooth 4.4, and then it starts breaking again, it may be rom (aosp?) related. But then again, it may be just random.

Basically my whole radio disconnects and restarts itself when turning off wifi. Reading that androidpolice thread leads me to thinking about flashing an earlier firmware, from 4.2.2. I have no idea which one, or if I can use the one in that thread or not.
Any suggestions? I'd appreciate it, googling for hours and reading catlogs for days isnt getting me anywhere..

Hmm wasn't that a Google issue which got fixed by HTC in the latest OTA? Try a ROM which has the hotfix (like latest ViperOne, 7.0.2) and see if you still get this

Hi akpe! I took your advice and am now running ViperOne 7.0.2 and so far it WORKS! So it seems it was indeed that google bug. HUGE THANKS!
Is it possible to have the aosp lockscreen when at the same time using a pin? I can't seem to figure that out.

i've been using the cm 13 night owl 4.2 beta on my SAMSUNG GALAXY NOTE GTn-7000 for like a week without any issues but recently my phone froze so i restarted after that im getting no sim card error. at first i thought its a bug but its still there.
things i tried
1. restarted (many time)
2. cleared caches, re-installed rom
3. thought might be problem with the sim so tried with outher simcards and problem still exists.
4. tried almost everything (haven't tried the stock rom)
hope you guys find me a quick fix, thank you

Go to your phone Settings >> About phone. Do you see the IMEI, baseband in there?
If no, your EFS file might be corrupted or deleted. If you didn't have a backup then you might wanna Google for help.
If yes, check your SIM slot and make sure the gold pins are all there.
