Task killers are unecessary imo, it actually drains more battery if you constantly kill apps in the background because the app justs starts back if it is set to run in the background
also android automatically kills apps when there is not enough ram to run specific apps

I haven't found a task killer that does more good than bad. The task killer itself sits in memory (The exact opposite thing that you want) and if it tries to be all cool and automatically stop some processes from spawning it usually slows down the phone. Just use SuperCharger V6 and clear cached processes.
I haven't looked for a task killer/manager in quite a while maybe there is a cool new one out that actually works.
Thanks.i will try this out

well , when i was a newbie in android is always wanted a task killer , but the real deal is you dont need them at all ,, android is a great os that manages running processes by itself and there is no task killer that REALLY kills processes ,, they just hide for secs and come up again

You can stop it using a task killer. There are much in Google Play Store

It is very bad idea to use task killers ! After some usage you will have problems with your battery ! Android is cleaning ram when he need it so you don't need to shut down apps

There are a lot of threads/posts in xda about how bad task killers are ;/
Do whatever you want but don't make others do what you think...

Help me how to close all these background apps auto

My problem is i just bought this s3 mini and its awesome but i have noticed in my task killer that i have tons of apps working in the background and if i kill them they just restart and start working in the background again and when i was sleeping the battery drained from 50 to 46 ... can u help me plz

What task killer did you use?
Sent from my GT-I8190 using xda app-developers app
Advanced task killer

Just simply ignore them, they're kept in memory to allow quicker startup times, and shouldn't be causing too much battery drain. If you want to get rid of some of the apps which you think might be misbehaving, thus draining battery, simply root and hit them with the force of a thousand suns, or just flash a custom rom. And for the love of god, never use task killers, they're pure evil!

Just also want to tell you that Android has its own task killer. When in low memory situations, Androids built in task killer starts killing applications. You can also modify the task killers values if want to take full control of it. I use romtoolbox to do this. It's really helpful for me.
:good:try Greenify, a must have:

What happen to my phone? Apps that I'm using kill automaticly

I have been using stock Rom rooted jellybean for sometime. But one thing really annoy me. It's that,if I use screen filter, music player and browser together at the same time. It close the screen filter and music player after sometime browsing the web. Is this about ram issue? I have tried super charge the service jar to die hard..but the launcher still reload quite often ..any idea?

Try delet blotware via titanium backup, because it seems to RAM problem....

Do you have root? Or better unlocked BL? Then you can install CWM and any.rom (there are many stockbased too with delered Blotware)

I already stated that i have root....bl unlocked too.. I prefer stock...as it's the most stable of all..but not sure which bloatware to delete.. Is this cause by minfree values?
I have exactly the same problem. System kills many apps when I'm using them. And I have deleted all useless bloatware. I guess I will have to reflash stock JB... You should try the same.

Yes, it's caused by lmk minfree values.
It looks like the pure stock fw is not so stable.

Or maybe it's a problem in adj value? I dun think stock value was that high..
Sent from my LT25i using xda app-developers app
Both. Adj tells to lmk what kind of apps to kill and minfree tells when to kill. With our phone (800MB available), we are always out of memory. Settings/apps/running value is a joke. It only tells how much memory is available if you kill apps that can theoretically be killed.
Most of user apps are using adj around 8-12. With lmk values in stock fw, these are killed very often.
This is what I found. But this memory thing is much more complicated (heap size, overcommiting, garbage collector, and who knows what else).
And I think, when the memory is divided into 3 blocks like we have, it also cannot be good.
Because of that all, Z already has 2GB.

I saw the vm heapsize in my v was 256m and heapsize limit is 64m..so the only solution is change the minfree?

I don't know about any other solution.
Use android tweaker(paid app) or pimp my rom beta(free) to set up better multitasking
After I supercharge the rom, I use die hard launcher... Then things turn out like this

It is not bad that the RAM is in use. RAM stands for Random Access Memory and can and will be used for the system and used apps. eXistenZe is pretty bloatware free but you can remove extra apps when you want to (see link above).
RAM management of Sony is pretty agressive so you have to play a bit to see what works for you

sometimes i feel like ram isnt enough especially when playing games. when i exit the game, icons begin to reload which is an indication of low ram i think?
You could try to clear some RAM with apps like Fast Reboot or any Taskmanager. However constantly clearing RAM is not good and will Cache data.. If you want to play a Game reboot your device. All the apps are closed and only the system and start-with-boot apps are started. This results in a minimum RAM usage

The reload is not always indications of low ram, but its just reload the launcher, in many roms launcher is locked on the ram, so when you exit its dont have a reload time.
its doesn't matter if you have less free ram in your device, if you still feel good and smooth when used it.

try not to use the FB app. It really is a RAM eater.
It's better to have less free RAM in Linux.

If you have titanium backup, you can also try the hard way which is creating a widget for disabling/enabling/launching Facebook application. So when you click the widget it unfreezes the app and launch it. When you are finish you click on the widget again and it will this time disable the app totally from your system. It takes like 1 more second to launch the app but if you don't use it a lot it's worth it !
