I have no problem whatsoever with evervolv JB 4.3.
latest version (13/09/2013) of tommypacker's CM10.2 rom got this problem.
if you want to keep it, it seems that release 2 doesn't.

I think you should back rom 2.3

Hello all,
I have been trying several Gingerbread ROM's lately (JVK/JVB, both, stock and custom). All of them seem to have call answer delay. That means when I answer the call, other person can't hear me before 1-3 seconds. This is really annoying.
I have read a lot of GB ROM threads and it seems that its not reported much. How can it be? Making phonecalls should be essential when we are talking about phone.
Or maybe I have done something wrong or just tried wrong ROM-s?
Please post here with which ROM-s you don't have this issue!
Thank you !
I have stock jvb and the same problem. It is really annoying. Is it possible to use another phone.apk that wouldn't have this problem?
Looks like i'm not the only one ...

I confirm that I have the same problem with JVK.

It's most definitely a Gingerbread issue as other phones (on 2.3.3 and even 2.3.4 apparently) are affected.
It baffles me that Google would let such a bug unfixed for so long. In my opinion it's a very critical issue that needs to be resolved ASAP.
Custom ROM (DOC's) and same problem here...

Also on custom Rom (Cold) and same ****.

Hamsterbread 1.1 -> same thing.
Try searching in market: call delay patch

On GoaTrip 1.7 & 1.8, also on stock, but even on Juwe 4.1 & 4.2 - exactly the same issue.
It clearly is a Gingerbread thing. Not sure it rests with Samsung, it could be from great Google itself.
Already tried "Call delay patch". Din't help much
I have the same problem on JVB, DebusROM. It lasts for 1 second and it's really annoying, damn it
Had this problem on every GB I tried. That is one of the reasons of my return to Froyo.
Doc's beta - same thing.

Same here (SGS with JVB)
Same here (SGS with JVB)
same here jvb stock
This is a reported and known bug in Gingerbread.
It is already under inspection by Google devs, so there is no need to say "same here". It won't change anything.
You can try this,

Ok installed try it and then post results
Good evening everyone.
I have been using ICS ROMS for the past 5 or so months and I am generally very happy with my Galaxy S. However, there seems to be one issue that i assume many other people probably face.
The Stock dialer FC's a lot! And I mean A LOT. If I leave the t9 function on, it FC's every time I reopen the dialer to make a call. If I disable t9, it crashes every 10 phonecalls.
This bug exists in all the ICS ROMs I have tried and it makes me wonder whether I am the only one this is happening to, or if there other people out there.
BTW I am currently using Tiramisu Rom with Semaphore 0.91 kernel.
Thanks for any help,
Tepes4
I can join to this question, and that its not related to kernel.

I know it is not the kernel, and also it is not the ROM. I have tried all the ICS variants that exist and this issue is present in every single one of them.
I even tried switching to another dialer but that is not a solution obviously...

Me and my bf have An awesome OB. His is newer thab mine, so I've teached him how to use coocked rom and so on... Since the first rom (Zeus 7.0) he has seen a rally Strange bug calls, everytime he make a Call the screen turns off and It's impossible to turn It on again. The only Way to use again the Phone, is to Take off-in the battery to turn on the Phone. After 1week of this problem, magically the phone was again perfect without this bug...Now we have both installed nemesis rom and this bug is again reappered.... How Can we solve this problem? Thanks a Lot for the interest

Hi all,
I flashed the [ROM] CM10.1 AOSP 4.2.2 Jellybean [KANG] [July-23]. Sometimes when I make a call or answer a call, the person on the other end cannot hear me. I would have to call them back, then it works. Does anyone have this issue? Thanks everyone.

After a reboot... Call your voicemail... Wait for it to pick up... Then hang up...
