is this the official thread for this http://10.2.cmxlog.com/?device=yuga?
@didicola Yep, the Free Xperia Project are the official device maintainers for all Sony devices. The builds posted by FXP are done weekly and sometimes contain un-merged patches as well as other experimental features. The builds found on get.cm are built on a nightly basis and are regarded as 'official'. However, they're built from the same codebase so it makes no difference. Hope that clears things up

Hi, I'm on CM 10.1.3 RC1, can I update to 10.2 using CM Updater or should I flash and wipe my device?
there must be some king of battery drain with wifi
even if i have the wifi turned off after a day at battery usage it shows the wifi active for that amount of time and the battery draining
the solution i have found is to open and close the wifi again
has anybody else that issue?
(offtopic) to flash 10.1 rc2 i have to do full wipe from cm10.2 right?

I think becase 4.3 is still Jellybean, a dirty flash should be OK. You'll need 4.3 GApps too. I couldn't find a definite answer so I played it safe and did a complete wipe. What a PITA

I can't see why turning the WiFi off/on again would affect that though. I definitely have better battery life on 10.2 than on any of the 10.1 nightlies before I jumped.
I also think there is something wrong with the wifi. When I'am switching from my work wifi to my home wifi it takes a lot of time before the wifi is connected again. In the settings it just says "bad connection". The next time I will look into logcat if there are some entries.

Update will need a clean install since 10.2 is built upon new base 4.3.
Factory reset, wipe dalvik cache and install 10.2.
Hi mates!
I bought the xperia z a pair of mounths ago, and finally I decided to give it a try to the bunch of ROMs here in xda!
I got very good experience with CM ROMs and PAC in the past with the galaxy s, but I was a little confused about flashing the xperia, as I lose the warranty and could brick it, but I finally did it!
I have tried Stock with Doomlord kernel, PAC and CM10.2, and nothing can be compared to CM10.2. Even Doomlord's kernel is working very well, I prefer the advantages of android 4.3. Even with a battery friendly configuration, it flies! GPU goes far better, and battery too, because you can modify permission by apps, not giving them the chance to access to gps or network all the time wasting battery. I'm trying now qualcomm battery guru, it would help me saving more battery. I think is the weak point of the phone. If I could get 6 hours of screen on, it would be simply the PERFECT smartphone!
Thanks all developers for improving our xperia!

try greenify,
Sony have gone way OTT on the voltages, in everything, screen, cpu and emmc,
I'm using my own cm build with voltage tables for cpu and dropped voltages for emmc and screen, that really does make a difference to screen time on testing so far.
CPU ones make more difference than the others, as doomkernel shows, still trying to find a decent medium with the screen voltages.
If I get something working I'll put a custom CM kernel out.
It would be great to have a custom kernel for CM10.2 !!!
Yes, I noticed better battery life modifying voltages, using only 2 cores and underclocking CPU and GPU in Doomlord's kernel. Nevertheless, I found similar battery performance in CM10.2 even without this tweks, I suppose including them would make it much better.
I have the deffence of the project in mechanical engineering next week, when I finish I will give it a look to these voltages, but it would be nice if you share your custom build, as I am not an expert in android. Thanks!

FXP236 released
Ok, so I'm about to finally take the plunge and unlock my Bootloader, gonna give this one a go, just wanting to ask if there are any real problems like low volume, or bluetooth not working properly etc? Had a look at some of the links in the op but couldn't find a real fault list, which I know is a good thing. Any help would be appreciated. Cheers.

what does it matter? and was i wrong? ive been using cyanogenmod roms on 6 different phones over the course of 2 years. ive had a vibrant for a few months and as far as i have read, gps only works on jvp roms at the moment, so unless the people working on the vibrant for cyanogen failed to put something here about gps then i doubt it works
To sum it up:
BUGS:
-Broken GPS
-Call mute/unmute needed on incoming calls for people to hear you
-Poor battery life (30%-40% idle consumption every 3-4 hours without being touched)
Otherwise it's amazing. Personally I'm using it as daily.

i will agree with broken gps and poor battery life compared to froyo roms. However since nightly 36 mute/unmute bug has been fixed for me, i would suggest a full wipe and reinstall to those still experiencing this problem.
Only persistant (and slightly annoying issue i have) is having to reflash gapps after each update, not a big deal however, only takes an extra 5 minutes.
Other than the aforementioned issues absolutely wonderful rom, i cannot wait to get some smart ass kernels for CM7. Been running cm7 as a daily driver since nightly #8.
CyanogenMod 10 is a free, community built distribution of Android 4.1 (Jellybean) which greatly extends the capabilities of your phone.
I can't follow this thread anymore, 90% of it is people whining about the same crap over and over instead of reading what's been written already.
To those of you who actually bother to post logs and repro scenarios, I'm sorry, but I can't spend 20 minutes every day sifting through **** to get to your useful data; I'll go back to testing with people I know, it's slower but much less frustrating.

These are automated builds of CM10 for the LG Optimus 2x, and the first official builds post Gingerbread (CyanogenMod 7). They have nothing in common with the crap builds that floated around for the last year (including my own), and are composed of fully compatible native bits; in other words, there is no hardware function loss or degradation.
It's been tested to a reasonable extent, and should be usable on a daily basis, but as automated builds they can, at any time, get broken.
CM10 will apply as an update on top of CM7, but it's possible that the skipping of CM9 may cause issues. If you upgrade directly and start getting weird behaviors, try doing a factory reset before running around shouting "bug!". DeskClock is one application known to have issues with upgrading: for that one, clearing its data from Settings is usually sufficient. As usual, people coming from anything that isn't CM (and this includes CM unofficial builds) need to do a full factory reset (wipe).
On a related note: This works only with the older (GB or Froyo) bootloaders. People running leaked ICS builds will need to rollback.
Install instructions:
1. Install ClockworkMod Recovery for "p990". Sorry, CM cannot provide support for other recoveries, although they may work fine. If you already have a recovery known to work with CM7, you can skip this step.
2. Get the most recent CM10 build from http://get.cm/?device=p990
3. Reboot into recovery
4. BACKUP
5. Install the zip(s).
Google Apps are not included in this ROM. You'll need to find those yourself if you want them.
It's entirely possible that features not used by me (nor the people I've asked to test) are broken, but overall the device should be usable. You have been warned.
Contributions to CM (code or otherwise) are, as always, welcome; Please visit our wiki if you want to give us a hand!
I love you.
Now the only issue is that the download doesn't work. Let's hope it'll be fixed soon.

Once again , Thanks @jfbs for another treat.
To others who are curious, this rom is stacked feature wise, responsive and impressive
Flashed this earlier today and I agree with @det0xx, this ROM has some great customization features and is very responsive!
I've only noticed a few bugs here and there (long pressing location tile doesn't navigate to location menu, needed to re-check and then un-check to disable flip tile effect, unable to remove torch tile), but nothing major. Overall, this is one impressive ROM! Great job @jfbs!
One bug I have is the lockscreen wallpaper disappears and stays black. Did a fresh install, not a major issue, just wanted to report it. Thanks for the rom, really nice.

odd i haven't got that issue or at least not yet. Mind giving more feedback as to
Gapps used/using: List all the ones you have tried only that has this issue. CM, PA, Banks, and/or etc. vers such as 4.4.2 -.4 and build date.
Theme: default or 3rd party if 3rd party link or name of theme
Wallpaper: used gallery or 3rd party app to set it.
Runtime: Art or dalvik
Gapps: banks standard 4.4.4 7-24 build, standard theme. Wallpaper set through gallery, dalvik runtime. The problem seems to come and go. I'm not really concerned with it as at the moment I'm using this device as a media player. If nobody else is having the issue maybe I messed something up when adjusting my settings. When I have the chance I will see if I can sort it out.

Sorry for the delayed reply been tweaking to hit a constant and stable 3k benchmark. at 2950-98 atm for constant and stable. i've hit 3k just recently however phone becomes unstable. if your phone can handle 1.5ghz oc without problems then the 3k is already possible but battery life i'd assume would drop quite a bit. i've also hit unstable 3k using 1.4ghz and tweaking some settings but haven't messed with it much yet. anyways as far as your issue. yeah it has me stumped without physically seeing everything. If your not worried about and at least to my knowledge no one else is having the same issue. let us know if you do figure out what it is that is causing it.

prolly just flashed without wiping davlik and not 1 zip at a time per a reboot.
I used this ROM on my s4, it is a really nice ROM. Think I will pull out the exhibit and give it a try.
Well this rom is awesome.
And I finally figured out what I did wrong when trying jfbs's roms. It turns out I was not always loading just one zip at a time, and not leaving it alone long enough after booting the rom.
This time I left it be but with the settings screen on and CPU overlay enabled in developer options so I could tell when it finally stopped thrashing the IO subsystem in the phone (over 90% usage in the overlay, showed blue for a good 20 minutes).
So far so good! Been running it now for a day and no major issues.
Though one niggling thing is no way to adjust the hard buttons back light. I prefer to have it always on with the screen instead of timing out after 5 seconds.

if you really want to get the most follow my oc guide in general op. Note battery life decreases past stock voltage. however higher frequency does not. i would also recommend waiting til you try the phone for a little bit before overclocking. however if you want better battery life and lower cpu temps now without sacrificing performance you can always undervolt the cpu for stock frequency. Stock if i remember correctly is 1ghz at 1.2mV i know almost if not everyone using the galaxy w (which is where most of our stuff comes from) can run 1ghz at 1.1mV as far as i know all our exhibits can as well. I could be wrong but at least from others and my own experience 1.1mV works flawlessly for 1ghz. as far as flashing a kernel to do it with jfbs roms you dont need to flash anything with cars1198's roms you do. Also i would not recommend starting at 1.1mV as a starting point.
EDIT: @jfbs so been running this rom for some time now and i can honestly say this beats AOIP by a long shot now. rock solid, still constant 29xx .8%hr sleep, 24%hr (max 4hr15mins) at stress test usage oc'd at 1.4ghz @ 1.2mV. No rom/kernel sided bugs encountered.

Way cool, will backup can test what's listed as working and see if i can find more of what's not working.
Thanks
Has changed the default language en_US.Update rom url
Not bad!
So I gave this test ROM a try. It's nice to see KitKat running on an Atrix 4G! I'm so excited to see some progress!
However, there are definitely several issues with it. The problems I found are:
Calls/text doesn't work
Mobile data doesn't work (says AT&T 4G but no connection)
SuperSU doesn't appear to work (crashed when opening and wouldn't let an app have root access)
Bluetooth didn't turn on for me (but I see you seemed to get it working, maybe it was just bad luck)
No WIFI (doesn't scan as you stated in the post)
Couldn't test any apps or camera because I couldn't restore my apps without root, and the camera must be a part of gapps now, which I also didn't install.
I was also gonna post some screenshots but it wouldn't let me snapshot (said storage error?)
Just thought I would sum up my experience so far. Thanks for letting us test out this promising new ROM! :good:
why need to test this ROM if K did not update his kernel from GitHub? had all same issues isn't it?

K's kernels are CM9 and CM10.1 based. This is a CM11 based kernel with a build date of 6 Aug 14
Calls - No go
BT (file transfer) - Go
Wifi - same as OP reported
Battery - same as OP reported (There's no way that after 8 hrs it should still be at 100%)
Speakers/Headphones - No go
Apollo/DSP Manager - Crash
Ravilov's Battery Fix app - scripts not able to be executed
Thanks!!!
Mobile data seems to be working, Bluetooth and superuser. ART included, I'll do more testing later.
thank for the rom!

Don't be harsh to K, as I was fixing audio segfault in CM 4.4.4, the more I realized most of the audio problem (like Skype, Bluetooth error) is more ROM related than Kernal related. Most of them are due to incompatiblity of hardware HAL files in our unfinished Moto's 4.0 rom...... Of course Mobile Data HAL is sill PAIN IN THE AXX... ...

And what about to use - for now - the old kernel like epinter's CM10?, in XOOM kitkat they use and old 2.x kernel too, the hardware acceleration its not really a problem compared to use and unfinished kernel with more issues to solve.
Anyway we agree that Kristianp is doing it's best work to continue developing the 3.1 kernel, so any negative comentary should not be allowed as most of us are only users and some cooperate with minimal things.
I could boot my second atrix, now time to BL Unlock, root, etc and it's ready to test some KK roms.
It's great to see the "4.4.4" in the settings
Mobile internet works fine.
Kitkat feels quite snappy on this "too old, too slow" hardware.
Thank you so much for keeping the Atrix alive.
Will try to install the Play Store and test out some apps!
cannot wait to try this!
Booted up fine and looks slick. had to do some searching around to find how to switch to ART.
Also had to use Z's recovery_4.3.img... ROM won't install with TWRP.
Wish I could do more testing like battery but it's not feasible at the moment.
Looking forward to other releases to test.
Really love the tons of options available in KK.

I think 2.6... not so sure.
TWRP 2.6.3 gives errors and aborts installation.

I believe, based off of what i've seen, 2.6.3.0 is the minimum to flash 4.4 ROMs, but 2.7 is reccommended.
Sent from my MB886 using xda app-developers app
There's no 2.7 for Atrix and apparently there's also no 4ext Recovery, so the only ways are CWM or Z's recovery (will try Z's on Monday or Tuesday)

Thank friends test feedback .
Apply a new job, computer is not in my city, so the update rate slow down (my technique is limited).
I look forward to Z 4.4.4
please forgive my terrible english.
Please upload it to a diferrent pleace
This is a compile done for a friend, as he found lp/mm roms to be unbearably laggy, especially when using social media/chatting apps. Just thought it could help some folks hoping to run an updated kitkat in their old(but great) galaxy s3. After some usage, his words were: this phone is part of my hand again .
This is a straight compile from cm11 sources for i9300, with the pac-rom source code(the best kitkat custom rom imo). Battery life, performance and stability are truly superb. Sources merged on 12-Oct-16, therefore having the latest stagefright and other security patches built-in. Wifi-fix for i9300 is also integrated. The rom is working fine with the latest boeffla-kernel(2.14) released for cm11, and thats the tested and recommended configuration. Some useless apps removed(like voicedialer, whisperpush, moviestudio, pacconsole and some more i can not remember) and i also removed pac console from the rom configuration settings framework as well. Have fun using it.

All credits go to cyanogenmod and pac-rom team for both their amazing roms and sources for i9300 and many other phones we use and love!
Thanks you,!!

Not having the phone means no screeshots . You can try it and put some up for everyone to see. You wont be disappointed.
What about gapps?? We have to dwnload it?
This is a clean rom, no gapps, xposed, or other mods included. use opengapps.
Really appreciate your efforts here... Great work on this rom... everything working fine... If possible can you put some time looking into Archidroid 4.4.4... IMO it was the best rom our s3 could ever have.... It has some wakeblock issues that might get resolved if we update the sources. Again thanks for your effort. S3 community owes you!

This problem persist with the latest snapshot of cm 11 also... nly install themes that you like... doesnt affect the functionality of the rom having themes installed.
Thanks for this great ROM. The only issue I have is I cant get 3G to work. Any suggestions? Would be much appreciated...
Its probably an APN problem, try inputting your carrier settings manually. 3g works fine on my friends' phone.
The rom is incredible but I need to restart my system with Wifi turned on so it can connect. If it disconnects (for any reason, disabling wifi, getting out of range etc), it only flashes "Connecting..." when connecting to the router again, but it doesn't connect
Try the fix in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s3/help/wifi-fix-cm11-i9300-t2910872 . I already included the needed file in the rom, and it works fine here, but it couldnt hurt to try. Could it also be your router causing this?

Will try! And it isn't the router, it worked with cm12.1 (no issues whatsoever) and cm13 (the issue on cm13 was random disconnects but it was rom related too).
Hey!
Switched to this rom recently and being very impressed, it having all the features one could ever want yet stable and battery friendly. Definitely better than MM roms on S3.
However do we need an kitkat bootloader or do we even have one available? Still on the official 4.3 bootloader and just wondering if could get more stability if upgrading it to kitkat.
Kitkat bootloaders dont exist for the i9300, since it never officially got kitkat. Last semi-stock kitkat rom for the i9300 were ported roms from n7100 and the korean variant of gs3, and they did not include a bootloader, because it would hard-brick the phone. Having installed 4.3 before this was the best you could do. Having this rom installed in 2 phones(my friend's and my sister's) i definitely recommend installing boeffla's last cm11 kernel, no stability, battery, or features problems with it. Actually, apart from the rebooting on uninstalling themes bug, no other bug has been reported to me from them, no even ones in the thread.
