Lets Talk orders delayed and cases not till Mid May...

I just galled in to get an update on my order status as it is no longer able to be checked via the lets talk website. I was going to find out when it would arrive and then see if I could get a phone locally and cancel my pre-order. The recording when you call says there are now further delays with the 32gb and 64gb developer editions, didn't say anything about carrier specific models and I didn't get through to anyone.
The message also said the double dip free cases are on backorder until mid may as well so you will not have something to protect your phone for the first few weeks if you get one from them.
Just a heads up.

Yup I received the same email about the cases. Called and my order should be cancelled. Sitting outside a local sprint store waiting for them to open doors.

If you need something just for the time being, I shared a link to a clear tpu case from handheld items dot com for $0.99 it just came yesterday. Shipped within 5 days. It doesn't seem half bad but hard to tell without a phone inside it. Later today I'll share pics and more details.

I actually got a hold of someone and my order is scheduled to be received on Monday as scheduled. She didnt say anything about the case so I guess we will see when I get the confirmation on the shipment.

I just cancelled my order and went into my local best buy, they had lots of silver and black ones available and in stock so I just picked one up and will order a case online from Amazon.

From what I seen, its $199.99 with contract and $699.99 w/o. I also did not see that they had any black versions out and from what I know, noone will for some time.

lol we're bouncing back and forth thru threads to see the best Right Now price in a walkin/walkout scenario

It was the 199.99 for me with upgrade and was 699 without.
I had them open a black and a silver so I could hold the real phones next to each other and see which I liked more. Not sure why I feel this way but, the black just looks too much like other phones on the market so I wanted to go with the Silver.

[Q] Black HTC One Orders

Has anyone in the US been successful yet in ordering the black HTC One? Online still looks like it's restricted to silver orders.
*edit* just spoke with a corporate rep and they don't seem to have any information on their end as far as availability goes for the black. i put a note down for them as well as my local att store to give me a call when it's available.

I preordered it from At&t on the 19th and still processing. Yesterday they were -140 they should be calling me any minute with an update. They don't have any ideas when the phone will arrive. We play the waiting game.

Galaxy s4 was available at my local sprint store this morning

I reserved the Galaxy s4 at my local Sprint store on Monday. Walked in today and they had 8 available. So needless to say, you might want to check your local Sprint store to see if they had any shipments because mine did. By the way I returned the HTC One for this phone and I couldn't be happier.

Sprint won't be my carrier but if they have them in store I would stop by just to check out the phone in person, assuming they have one for display.

Our 2 local sprint stores and BB all got the Sprint S4's in today. I almost bought one, but they would not match the online price of $149 that I could get on sprint.com by adding a new line. So I came home and ordered one up instead. $100 is a $100. But it was nice to play with one in the store a bit before making the final decision.

Wait, what? I thought Sprint delayed all of the S4s. When I called BB about my pre-order yesterday to see if it was affected, all I got was that it wasn't in yet and they wouldn't get any sort of an ETA because of them using drop shipment to (supposedly) get it there faster. I may have to drop in today and see what's up with that. >.>
Edit: Just did so. According to the rep I spoke with, Samsung only shipped the ATT phones. All other carriers' S4s have yet to show up. Anyone else running into something similar?

We went into the Sprint store shortly after they opened on Saturday just to see if they might have received any. I'd heard the delayed rumors too, so was not shocked when they said no. Mgr said he'd got an email the night before saying they might try to scrape a few together and get them there, so check back later. Basically the same story at the BB store 2 blocks away. Called later in the day and the Sprint store had them in. So I went in and played with it for a while. When they could not price match the web price, we went over to BB. They had also received the phones but would not match the price either.
All were Sprint phones, both colors, 16gb. They are getting delivered for retail sales, at least in some areas. Guaranteed. You can call the Sprint or BB stores in Rogers and Bentonville Arkansas to confirm it, if you'd like. They may all be sold out by now as there were folks lined up to look at them, but they had them for a while yesterday, at the least. I had a black one in my hands and ready to buy until the ad match snafu came up.

Sprint stores in NJ had them...but the store by me only had 6, 3 white / 3 black...I walked in after 3hrs of them being opened and they still had 4.

Haha your first paragraph was just be way my several went at one of my local corporate store I reserved a handset at. But when I called a friend at another corporate location just a few towns south of me, she said she had a huge supply but we're running low rapidly. And even at 10:15am the store was PACKED! So in turn, I had a feeling that some stores may have some supply. Which was exactly what happened. Funny, cause the 2 BB stores in Mt area have the Samsung booths. Neither were displaying anything. Which I thought was unusual, cause even though there is a delay, I would have thought that they would at least wanna show Em off

I got mine! 4.2.2 is alot different. Menu's have more to it. Overall I am liking the GS4. Bigger screen, smoother and faster than my GS3. I cant wait until a solid root is out there and for Ktoons OC kernel to come out! I can see this thing rocking 2.5 GHZ with it's quad core! My Quadrant score is already 12,772 stock, so I'm thinking 18,000 is possible!

Spoke to a sprint employee on the 24th(after they stopped taking pre-orders) and was told they'd only get enough S4s to satisfy pre orders and then would have to wait for "a week or so" for a shipment of S4s for the general public. So I preordered from amazon and they said they'd ship the today and deliver May 1st. But yesterday I called local sprint stores and 3rd one I called said they had one left in white. Amazon preorder cancelled shortly their after . Any way what I took away from this fro any one still looking for S4s is that some sprint stores have general public stock but generally the bigger stores closer to downtown (I'm in Houston). The stores that only have pre order stock just don't know what the hell they are talking about .

I'm in Houston too and got mine from the Westpark store. They had plenty of them. Like 50 or so! Don't know about today though.....

I must have gotten lucky, because I ordered mine online from Sprint Saturday the 28th in the afternoon (pst), and received a shipping notification Sunday at 10AM and received my shipment Monday morning at 9:45 AM. Needless to say I was happily shocked

I was able to use Upgrade Now for $100 fee. They bought my cracked E4GT for $64. They said they had 13 white and 8 black.

The release date was pushed back because word of a possible shortage, and several sites were on backorder..... smartass

My local sprint store in memphis also has/had a bunch in stock opening day. I leisurely walked in not expecting them to have it, but they had about 10 left at closing in Saturday

I ordered the desktop dock for the MotoX 2 weeks ago when it went live, but then I got an email from a Moto Rep stating that there was a mix up on the site and that the dock was not supposed to be up there. He asked if I wanted to keep the order or cancel it because it wouldn't actually ship until the week of the 9th (this week). I'm assuming both the dock and the Dev Edition MotoX will go live at the same time sometime this week.

I say Friday, considering the trend.

-Did you see the Nexus phone when they put out the Kit-Kat statue video? (and then pulled the video) There are screen shots around if not. Also THIS says, "LG is making it & The Nexus 5 release date could be as soon as October or November. Based off precedent that has generally been when the Nexus devices have been released." Personally, I want the Moto X dev edition on Verizon but if it's not soon I'll jump to Sprint and settle for an unlock code for the bootloader. Remember my Moto Atrix bootloader woes all too well to go through that again.

That last and most recent thing I've heard is only what Punit Soni said which was that the developer edition would be arriving in "days". That was late August and here we are in the second week of September and still nothing :crying: I'm growing a little restless to say the least.

He responded in the comments with this on Sept 8: "Dev versions will be out very soon... We got all other channels out in days...they may not matter to avid Android enthusiasts but availability on all carriers is key for most regular users. We hear you loud and clear and are working on it."
Sounds like they want to get them out to joe public first...:silly: Anyways, I wonder if they'll offer the Dev customized through motomaker? It kind of makes sense since they are selling them directly.

Good news. Much better than being kept in the dark. I figured they were trying to pump out as many carrier versions of the Moto X as possible before accommodating those that want the developer edition. Adding the dev edition to Moto Maker would definitely be nice, but funny enough, the way it currently looks with the woven white back and black front was almost exactly how I wanted to customize my own Moto X. I could very well settle for that!

From what I've read, it appears so. I imagine that once Moto Maker is made available to Verizon customers, a 32GB model should be available for purchase since AT&T customers are given the option when customizing a Moto X. Don't forget though that people who buy a Moto X get a free 50GB of Google Drive storage for 2 years.

Seems to be taking longer than I expected. I haven't seen a recent online update from the lemming smartphone blog.

I have only owned a Samsung android phone. First the fascinate, then the gs3. Gotta say, the feel of this Moto x is amazing. It sucks though, that Samsung turned their back on us, Moto encrypts bootloaders. And I doubt Verizon will let Sony give us an unlocked phone. Do you guys think we will get any goodies?

We might get root, doubt the BL will be unlocked though. I probably still won't root mine though. Don't need to with this phone. I love my leather back though and I am amazed at how fast I got it.

Bought mine on Edge from the GS5 (bought in April). Only $140.

Hoping to order mine with my next paycheck that I get in a few days. Will make an awesome birthday gift for myself, but doubtful I'll get it in time (Oct 16).

I shattered my SGS3 in a bike accident two weeks ago, and got 3 stitches in my chin to boot. Never dropped/broke a phone before in my life so now is the best time to use my Verizon upgrade to get this beauty.

I ordered through Comcast.com/verizon-wireless. $200 gift card and $50 mail in rebate. Had to call to do moto maker.

Bought it outright from Moto maker. turquoise, black front, silver accents, 32 GB, turquoise and teal Hula case.

Got mine on Monday. Love it.

I have a turquoise one with a black front and silver accents, 32 GB. The Hula case is awesome, matches the turquoise or teal perfectly, is truly light weight and adds extra grip.

I bought mine off contract from Moto maker site. Purple with metallic lemon lime highlights. I got the phone on Tuesday, love it!!!
