Hi,
I'm also using the Sprint HTC One outside the US (Bangalore, India) and unlocked the phone using the method posted in one of the threads here. I can use both 2G (900 Mhz) and 3G (2100 Mhz).
What band does your operator use for 3G? Maybe, that is not supported.
Also, have a look at the access point. For me, every time i change the network mode, the APN automatically gets set to cinet.spcs. I have to manually change it back to the correct APN and then it starts working again.

hi. I've seen your posts in the unlock thread and you seem to have done it successfully. I live next door (Bangladesh) and I was thinking of getting a sprint htc one from the states. Anyway did you ever face any issues regarding data and what not? And when you do use 3g, what's the data icon in the status bar?
3G - UMTS/ HSPA:
Europe/ Middle East/ Africa: : 900/1900/2100 MHz with HSDPA up to 42 Mbps
Asia: 850/900/1900/2100 MHz with HSDPA up to 42 Mbps
Canada/ Latin America: 850/1900/2100 MHz up to HSDPA 42 Mbps
T-Mobile (US): 850/ AWS/1900/2100 MHz with HSDPA up to 42 Mbps
AT&T: 850/1900/2100 MHz with HSDPA up to 21 Mbps
Sprint: 1900/2100 MHz with HSDPA up to 14.4 Mbps
850!=1900/2100

An issue i've been facing repeatedly is that if i go out of network range, i have to manually select the operator again. It doesn't switch automatically.
Also, sometimes the APN changes automatically to cinet.spcs and i'll have to manually enter the correct APN settings again.
All in all, nothing major. You can buy it if you can live with these minor issues.
The data icon remains the same i.e. GSM irrespective of 2G or 3G. I'm running Viper 1.1.0 ROM btw.

Suponiendo que eres de mexico, != significa distinto. En otras palabras nunca podras tener 3g con esa banda.

Hi, I am trying to use an unlocked Sprint HTC one with airtel in Bangalore but I am not getting any 3G data from airtel, my phone shows GSM symbol and I guess it is getting 2G data,
Which carrier did you choose and how did you get the 3G data.

I'm looking to buy a diamond and i need to make sure I get a version that will work with all the AT&T bands. I only get edge where I live, no H :-(
on the back of the box it says:
Network
HDSPA/WCDMA
900/2100 MHz
Up to 384 kbps up-link and 7.2 Mbps down-link speeds
Tri-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE:
900/1800/1900 MHz
(Band frequency & data speed are operator dependent)
The model number is P3700
any help is appreciated.. Thanks!
dont get it. I bought the same version and I am trying to use it on AT&T's network and it does not work. Calls drop off and calls dont get in. Have tried a whole lot including updating the radio but does not work.
You can buy any Diamond you want. You just need to flash a new quad band radio to it. There is a whole list of radios here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=407956.
That's what I did an everthing works fine.
Wind dancer, Maybe you can help me here. I bought a 2g phone with the and updated the radio to .05 but still dont get reception. when i do *#364 I see that the band that the phone is operating on is 850.
What radio did you you and did you update the ROM to 1.93? I am still on the base rom...1.37.720.2 WWE
I hope someone can help me or at least point me in the right direction.
Im in the Philippines and my g1 is unlocked/rooted with the latest cyanogen rom 4.2.6.
The network im connecting to is smart communications with according to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mobile_network_code has:
515 03 Smart Gold Smart Communications Inc Operational GSM 900 / 1800; UMTS 850 / 2100
our phones have Modes GSM 850 / GSM 900 / GSM 1800 / GSM 1900
WCDMA 1700 / WCDMA 2100
So i should be getting a 3g signal or something but im not, my phone is not even making an attempt to connect to 3g. I have checked the settings and i cant find where to enable 3g. Use only 2g network is not checked. my apn settings seems to be correct but its not even getting to the point where it tries to connect to 3g. I have no 3g symble or edge symbol. please help..
help someone pls
Hi all.
I'm under the impression that umts = 3.6mb and hsdpa = 7.2mb and hsdpa+ = tmobiles sexy new 21mb service.
Am I right? I'm asking because my phone switches to hsdpa from umts only when I'm using data. Its always hovering on umts when I am on 3g.
Thanks!
With cm rom I also saw the fluctuation. 3g was umts and the h was hsdpa right?
Hi,
I have a huawei ideos (older non X6 version) and supposedly it is unlocked. It works with 2g/edge. It does not work with 3g. I have looked for APN information and the info downloaded to the phone when I connected to network is identical to what is listed on the net.
tmobile docs url not allowed
i had to add the MMSC setting since it was not there as listed in step 12.
Things which are odd. When choosing access network, it does not say T-mobile 3G. It only says T-mobile 2g, Att 2g and Att 3g. According to the net this phone supports the frequencies for tmobile.
gsm link for u8150 not allowed.
shows HSDPA 900 / 2100 / AWS
HSDPA 850 / 1900 / 2100 / 1700
And
wikipedia entry for tmobile not allowed
shows
1700 MHz/2100 MHz UMTS (W-CDMA)/HSPA 4G (formerly 3G[31]) 2006 2008 (3G), 2010 (Marketed as 4G) First carrier in the U.S. to deploy services on AWS frequencies. Markets HSPA+ as "4G". UMTS band IV
Not sure if HSPDA spec is same as HSPA though.
I did the trick where you enter #*#*4636*#*#* and checked phone settings. I changed to GSM auto (PRL). I also tried to hit menu and select radio band, but it pulls up an empty "Set GSM/UMTS Band" dialog. There is nothing to select.
I guess my question is, does this phone support 3G for t-mobile and if so, what setting am I missing?
thanks in advance.
John
Wrong phone forum this is likely to get frozen.

I went to the US and bought an unlocked HTC One from Amazon. I wanted to post the Amazon link, but I was blocked.. :-/ It's the top result.
It operates on:
HSPA/WCDMA: 850/1900/2100 MHz
GSM/GPRS/EDGE: 850/900/1800/1900 MHz
LTE: 700/850/AWS/1900 MHz (US)

When I arrived home, I found out the my operator's 3G frequency operated on 2100 MHz, and the phone doesn't operate, out of the box, with that frequency. Is there any way to "unlock" this? Is it even "unlockable"?
Tks

Dial *#*#4636#*#* then ----> phone info
make sure ''prefered network type'' is set to GSM/WCDMA/LTE auto
which will enable all avail frequency to be used
and don't forget to enter your operator apn settings, otherwise it will not work
mobile data --> access point name --> then tap your carrier apn and make sure all settings are good. can be found on your carrier website
