Of course. Any rom made by me or albino has that option. Some other kernels may have it but it all depends.
i am currently on [ROM] CM10.1 AOSP 4.2.2 Jellybean [KANG] [Aug-6] by albinoman887.....
GPU OC is unsupported in kernel tuner.....also i cant overclock cpu thru "Performance".....and i am looking for a kernel update supporting jb 4.2.2
i tried this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2156949.............it said it supported jb but i guess it was ony for 4.1.x

If you read there are instructions on how to edit the Kernel in the page you get the ROM from.

The question is why...
Overclocking the GPU does almost nothing in terms of performance... No faster in UI in my experience... And... No better in benchmark (I know they mean nothing)
It actually just drains battery IMHO...

Almost cook room has overclocking, you can set in Performance settings (with CM room) or venom tweak(if using venom room).
For me, if no using some big application, I often set max CPU freq. <1200 htz and min <384htz. I realized when set max CPU > 1250 htz, my device is getting hotter, religion battery

Hey All,
I'm running Mid note v2.0 (ICS based ROM) and have CPUspy installed and it tells me that my highest clock speed is 1.2GHz. Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't our N7000 notes supposed to be 1.4GHz?
I understand that ICS kernels can't be over locked at this stage but shouldn't my note be running at 1.4GHz when necessary?
Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

1) Its a leak for a different device.
2) The kernel controls the speed the device is allowed to run
Once sources are available, things will change.
But if you had searched and read a bit, you would have known this already...
Thank you for your response. I actually did research for this information and described what i did find but I thought I'd ask the question since this is the Q&A section of the N7000/i9220's since I couldn't find the exact answer I was seeking.
I do understand what a kernel does as I "read" up on it and I do know that the ICS leaks are from the i9220 as I "read" that too.
So please keep your sarcasm to yourself as I was merely just asking the community for insight on this matter but if you had "read" my question you'd already know that.

The version of the Note that the ICS leak was for is locked at 1.2Ghz.

only locked because of the kernel, once the sources are available it will then be able to run at full speed
rocket team rom
what abt the rocket team rom i guess it is not based on the Chinese leak so the cpu will be 1.4 instead

no its 1.2 aswell, its the KERNEL not the rom and until, oh i give up trying to explain, go search
The kernel is from China leak so it is 1.2ghz.unless kernel developer of xda here provide new custom kernel which with custom CPU scaling.

It's underclocked, wait for an update.
every body that test different Roms and kernel, help me to find a good rom for save battery charge.
i need battery charge more for my work.
From my experience the new wild child rom and kernel is the best for stability and battery life. He makes a rom based on the telstra velocity rom or one based on at+t that you can tweak through an inbuilt application. You can only download it through his site search Google for wcx illuminati but you will have to register before you will see the vivid forum

Giving Darkraider a go at the moment
Not liking the "feature" of not being able to turn off LTE though
Will have to go back to a Tel$tra based rom to get this feature back though I think!
I am not running any cus my Raider is soft-bricked and I am stuck at hboot.
Just look at my other posts I started 3 threads spend all day on her and going no where very fast.
Battery Life
Can someone tell me a good CPU setting to balance battery life with performance? I'm running Vituous Inquisition ROM, KangBang Kernel, and using No-Frills CPU Control to set clock speed. Thanks in advance...

Personally I use somewhere in the 1500 max, 360 min range. I use the intelledemand governor and the noop scheduler. Works great for me. This is on Holics Kernel 0730 though, which I have found to be the best kernel out there.
Hi. If the same thread is already exists, please forgive me. Been trying to find similar thread for about 3-4 pages here, but none found.
If no, well, can anyone here suggest the best kernel for ICS based ROM for our IncS in term of performance and battery life. Thanks in advance.
XS-ICS.
What's the benefit of this kernel over another? I am sorry I am also new to this. If you can just provide some high level overview

Hi. From my point of view, each kernel has it's own advantages and disadvantages in terms of performance, battery life and etc. For custom kernel like X2 ICS (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1851121), you can overclock your IncS to higher CPU speed but PLEASE bare in mind, even though our device is the same, but that doesn't mean the optimized value to overclock is the same. My suggestion, please look carefully for pro n cons for each kernel in the forum because some kernel is not supported for certain ROMs. For me, I just flashed ICS Sense G11 v2.0.1 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1887379) and it went smoothly with my Android Revolution HD 3.01 ROM.
I have used a couple of custom ICS ROMs (Nik's and IceCold) and I find that the following gives the best choice of governors, clocking variability and battery life.
Choosing the right governor and clock speed will of course impact on your performance.
Also recommend XS ICS 2.2... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1851121

ICS sense version G 11 V 2.02 is also cool.... you can try that also...I had flashed this kernel along with the new radio...believe my battery strength and smoothness has improved drastically.... my phone used to get heated up like anything but after flashing these 2, it is so cool....

Performance control last update was 2ghz max now its 1.5ghz ???
Is that right or can i change something to make it 2ghz again.

Kernel comes clocked at stock settings again...Best I can offer is to fork the kernel and change the defconfig to enable the OC...if I did that I'd enable GPU overclocking too. A new kernel needs to be compiled to change it...not much you can do if you can't compile a kernel.
EDIT:
I started latest pac build about 15-20 mins ago...I'll cancel it right now and use a forked kernel cause I like having the option, even if I do clock less than stock.
Sweet looking forward to it

Hey guys,
Ive modified the Stock CyanogenMod kernel with some of the features i cant live without This is not a replacement for iodak or werewolf, play etc this is just my own little project. As the name implies, im simply taking some of my favorite features from the various kernels here while attempting to keep it as close to stock as possible
Latest Version: CCK4.1
25/02
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=50605034&postcount=99
Older Versions:
CCK4
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=50392624&postcount=60
So far it has:
# Fast-Charge (faster usb port chargers)
# Additional CPU governors ( wheatley, HYPER, lulzactiive and smartassV2 )
# CPUQuiet
# Unlinked GPU / CPU
And more!
As above all thanks goes original devs mainly Demetris, iodak and laufersteppenwolf,
The usual disclaimer, I do a bit of testing to make sure of basic stability, but even if its stable on my device it might not be on yours. im not responsible for damages etc etc

Thank you. Flashed. Testing on Vanir 27/11/2013...
EDIT: 1° Impression _ CPU Load ver very low. CPU Quite in balanced very usefull for battery with 1 or max 2 processor . Userspace for 4 cores. Max Mhz to 1500 no OC to 1700. Now i charged phone to 100% and i will test it with BBS for tonight. For now, with ONLY check with TricksterModDonate it's SUPERB !
Only one suggestion for future: Add WESTWOOD TCP CONGESTION . It's the best.
EDIT 2: Problems with connection 3G/2G for internet ... no connection and check in loop to reconnect but nothing ... Rebooted 2 times but similar problem ...

For now i must return to MoKee AnyKernel for internet problem . For Governor: SmartAssv2 on balanced set 1 core to max frequency, always. Is that the real function ? I hope that problem,of internet connection, can be resolved because for first impression CopyCat is very very interesting.
