Hi guys,
First post here but have used this site multiple times as a non-member. Hoping you guys can fix my problem
Right, so basically, I like to flash ALOT of roms onto my N7000 and for some reason or another, around 3 roms i have just flashed in the last couple of hours keeps making my phone get stuck in a bootloop and it is really starting to annoy me.
If anyone has a solution I would be grateful.
Thanks in advance, Rohan
Insufficient info. What rom were you on? What's the last rom you installed? What was the latest rom installed on(rom) ? Are you on a safe kernel? Did you wipe data?

I'm currently on ParaNoid Android (scared to reboot), the last rom I was on is Cynogenmod, the last rom I have installed were the two roms I just mentioned. I am on 3.0.15-CM-g0b7eacb [email protected] #1. And yes, I did wipe data, cache partition and dalvik cache.
I have faced this issue while flashing SuperNexus on my note. check this thread if if helps : link to thread
I recommend a safe kernel like philz latest kernels and then i think you are good to go with any roms.

Hi friends,
I'm a new GNote owner with CleaNote rom and Hydracore kernel installed.
I've heard that CleaNote will be discontinued and I'm seraching for a new Long Time Support (Yes I use Linux desktop computer ) rom.
I've selected Crash Rom, Criskelo and Rocket Rom. I don't know witch one to choose but I'm CF-Root oriented. Last thing, I'm not interested by GApps (various hubs and co) but I need Radio FM and I want to flash with CWM only (no Odin).
I've two questions :
- In your opinion, what of theese rom do have I to choose ? (or what else)
- I've seen in Crash install procedure that I have to flash Abyss kernel first. Is it a no-discuss option or can I do the install with a safe kernel like my Hydracore ?
Thank you for your help.
I like criskelo vry much.stock oriented and available wd cf foot.
See abyss kernel is for safe and thats help custom roms in flashing.

Namaste aur daniyeval Shiv,
Abyss is for safe. That means than I can use any safe kernel ?
See dont use stock kernels on ics.and every custom dev kept its rom safe for flashing.
Hit thanks........NAMASTE

I know ICS stock kernel is a GNote killer . Yhat's why I've immediately flashed Hydracore.
Any other opinions about all these roms ?

Hydracore is safe to flash any rom so no need to use abyss kennel ( abyss for flashing new rom only ),just follow op instruction but ignore abyss thing.
Phil kennel is like cf root but triple safe and both battery friendly ( can find in original dev) , hydracore is more performance and tripple safe too.Your choice
Criskelo discontinuous support his rom. Every rom are good , try out and see which one is fit your taste.
Hi,
You're perfectly clear, as your explainations, Thank you.
I think that I'll test every one for a week each before deciding.
Last question. For install between these roms, do I need to to a reset factory (and say bye to my apps) or can I try a simple dalvik/cache wipe ?

Try first without factory reset and if you don't run into force closes---you're good !
If you do.....you have to factory reset.
But you can backup your apps using Titanium Backup and restore all non-system apps(i.e. user apps).I do this regularly...Saves me the trouble of reinstalling that crapload of games !
I'll try... I'll try.
But anyway, I've no game on my note except a Klondike....:good:

Recommend full wipe on every rom , this will save you alot problem later and take about 30 min to do.. you can use tt back up your app or manually install 1 by 1 take little longer but this method really good.. Enjoy
Ok. Thank you. I'll be a cool and patient guy... and I'll make Titanium Backup hot.
But, for my curiosity, what do I risk with no wipe between : bootloop ? brick ? nuclear explosion ? anything else ?

For your question if you dont clean install sometime the note will not work funtionnal.only dirty install when flash same rom or update
Horrible ! You mean I can break my wall with my Note
Ok, I stop my 2 cents jokes.

And one thing.. Make a nandroid backup so if you dont like the New rom you can easily turn back to your original rom with all the apps and their setinggi.
It took much time to configure itu one by one.

Hi all, i have to mod the galaxy s of one my friend, i personally never had that so i dont know anything about it, so if u can help me in some stuff, it will be useful!
-Whic rom/kernel do u personally use/raccomand? ( i hope im not breaking rules with this question im just asking what rom an user personally use, if im breaking, well sorry )
-there is some bootloader stuff for galaxy s?
-how to easy root and install cwm?

-Well, there is alot of plenty good roms/kernels, im currently using the Avatar rom and i must say, it's a very good rom, stable and fast, so give it a try =)

-There is alot, google and you will find some.
-Here is a step by step guide on how to root: http://theunlockr.com/2012/10/22/how-to-root-the-samsung-galaxy-s-i9000-cf-kernel-method/
How to install CWM: http://theunlockr.com/2012/11/22/how-to-install-clockworkmod-recovery-on-the-samsung-galaxy-s-i9000/
-Yes, Wipe Data/Factory Reset, Wipe Cache/Dalvik Cache and flash your new rom.
-Basicly what you have to do before flashing a custom rom is: Rooting of course, Installing CWM, Booting into CWM, Wipe, Flash new rom.
Good luck!

Some ROMs (including stock) are a little laggy for our tab. In my opinion, C-O-M's cm10.1 and addem123's cm9 or PA do a better job with lag. None are perfect, but that's the best we can do on this tab, for now, and these ROMs are being developed actively, so they will continue to improve.
Also, overclocking any of these ROMs will help.

And also when i put a new rom do i have to wipe dalvik cache also? Because i have recently place 2 roms all which i wiped dalvik cache is that why ii doesnt have wifi?
Cm 10.1 is jb. You should wipe cache and dalvik before you flash a ROM. Try flashin back to stock, then flash the cwm from com's thread, then make a backup, wipe, and flash the ROM and gapps.

Dear all XDA Developers
i have samsung galaxy note n7000, after we got the official JB update the device went to be so slow, so i choosed to downgrade it to ICS and i download the sogtware image from (www.samsung-updates.com) as i told it should be official software images.
and i downloaded the ODIN v3.09 for pc, connect the phone and install, it fiinished successfully, AFTER that i start to got the error, the phone shutdown suddenley and got the screen said "RST_STAT 0x2000000 User Fault, not kernel panic, upload mode"
i tried to install again and still have the same error the it is random no specific time, then i download and install the Philz and wipe the phone as for install a new ROM and install the same image then got the same error after two days.
my request is how to solve this problem and where to download an official ICS for my GT-N7000
i hope to find the solution here in XDA developers
best regards
No one can help??!!!!
Is this issue so difficult and there is no solution or any idea about solving it??
It depends on how you choose. Going your path back to official ics could be problematic. So i would just go forward install a custom jb rom such as Aryamod then the problem is solved and u will have a beautiful and fast rom. Done.

Also, stock ics is known to brick phones.
as i got the official JB via update the device is too slow, so would that problem solved when installing a custom rom? and which rom should i choose? and the problem now is with the device hardware? or just the ics??
as i searched before it on the internet i found that this is a GPS problem!! how can i check that please??

1stly, After getting JB update from OTA, it's recommended to do a factory wipe in stock recovery (This is what Samsung CS told me). I tried and it works (at the expense of having all my data n apps gone).
2nd, Like @forest1971 says, there's many good custom Roms And you can choose per your liking. I strongly oppose going back to ICS as of the brick bug threat. If you really want to downgrade, might as well go for GB.
3rd, WHAT is the point of our good Dev's spending their precious time and cracking their heads to come up with a custom rom IF they are not BETTER than Stock roms?

Installing through odin is the best method for flashing stock rom. You have done it right. Just remember NEVER to do a factory reset anywhere with ICS. Not even in recovery
