Whenever I get an incoming call on my Moto X, the computerized voice reads the number aloud and asks if I want to ignore or answer. Is this a Touchless Control feature? I can't seem to find out how to turn if off. Anyone know if this is possible?
You have assistant enabled just open the app and turn it off

Thanks for the quick reply, but i don't have any Assist settings activated. Any other ideas?
Have you checked the accessibility settings?

I went thru all settings (I think) and can't seem to figure how to disable this. It's so annoying...what am I missing?
This is a known bug with Moto Assist that you are likely experiencing. The only solution that I am aware of is to go into settings and completely disable the Assist app.

I want my phone to say "SMS" when i get a text, "Email" when i get and so on so forth.
Play store did't have much, Apps like Zedge weren't quite what i was looking for, Am I going to have to record these sound files myself and use the,? Does anyone have the answer?
Thanks in advance
You might need to get individual apps for each
On a quick search like
For email -
Mail alert https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.willdev.mailalert
And then find a audio file that says
'sms received' or 'email received' etc
I'll look deeper over the weekend
Unless someone finds something better

been using it for months now with no problems, don't really notice much difference with regards to battery saving but it does help stop some dodgy services like htcCheckinService, googleAnalyticService etc..
however, some services are needed for the phone to function properly especially in Google Play Services, one too many disables in there and things start going tits-up :silly: bottom line is to experiment and let us know how you got on

True but Google Play Services has severe wakelocks and this app can disable certain processes within Google Play Services to reduce wakelocks...

Will do. I'll post some stuff in a couple days since I keep flashing stuff roms and kernels.
Anyone have any ideas on a way to sync action memos with mac so I could view them on a mac? Hopefully automatically using either Dropbox or some other cloud service?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
I think the only way to share any thing with action memo is manually. You have to click "share" and select Dropbox or something.
S note syncs with a Samsung account. I believe you can install a Samsung sync program on your Mac and access a lot of stuff on your phone, and vice versa.

Oh, this is the "general section". Next time you have a question please remember to post in the "Q&A section". You'll get more responses that way and have a better chance at getting your question answered.
Thanks .... maybe a moderator can move this post there?

I took drakey's advice and rebooted my devices but the problem was not resolved. I can not figure out what gsiff_daemon is for the life of me. Any ideas?

This should be in Q&A, but did you also do what he said about deleting a system app?
About the gsiff_daemon I think it may have something to do with motion. I couldn't begin to tell you how to fix it. That sounds like a question for @drakeymcmb

I tried but got this message.
Are you rooted? Hit me up on hangouts. I can solve this faster for you.

I'm sorry, but there really isn't enough information provided here, to help in any way. Perhaps a screenshot or some more description please.
When I get a text message via hangouts app the screen wakes. I don't want that ..

I suspected ambient but he said waking screen so I assumed otherwise.

im only assuming, because ambient display wakes when a hangouts notification comes in. thats the only way it wakes for me.
