system/app deleted

Hi, help needed. I rooted my phone recently. To free up some more space i deleted the folder <system/apps> thinking of it as backup apks of system apps.
Now the phone goes blank in seconds after starting. Please help.
PS: didnt install xrecovery after rooting.

What have you done???!!!! There's no app in your phone now!!!
Try installing a recovery with the X8 toolbox (search in the dev section) and flash a ROM.

Repair your phone with PCC, SEUS or Flashtool

Immediately use flashtool and flash stock firmware

i have the backup of that apps folder in my PC, if only, somehow i could copy it back.
if you could please provide links on doing recovery without xrecovery being installed,
or the usage of other tools aforementioned, that would help a lot.

go to this link and download 2nd one and install it,

if that zip is password protected, then use this password
androidstockromlibrary.blogspot.com
extract zip and put the *.ftf file into here, (only if you didn't changed the install location of flashtool)
C:\Flashtool\firmwares
then open flashtool and select flashmode and select x8 then press ok,
in few seconds a display will appear, take off battery in your phone and connect it to computer using usb,
now hold back button and insert battery, then green light will appear and stock firmware will flash

man, he told he didn't install the recovery after the root, read correctly man................
that's why he should use Flashtool

Problems with Root

I'm trying to run DooMLorD's root. I open the runme.bat and it stops at "daemon started successfully"

The problem is with trying to root the device.
I downloaded the root kit. Enabled USB Debugging. Allow Unknown sources. Extract root kit. Run runme.bat. Connect phone to computer, Press any key... "daemon started successfully" and it just sits there.

Adb drivers might not be installed properly, I think.

Where should I go to reinstall them. I ask because I must have done it wrong the first time.

If you have installed the PC Companion, then ADB drivers should be installed.

I presume you dl the v17 of doomlord script, maybe you try to run the script as admin and try again?

Use flashtools drivers insidw the sub-foldwee called after it. Select Xperia Z, adb and fastboot drivers, and follow the on secreen instructions

Yep v17 of the script. When I run as admin i get:
"Press any key to continue . . .
Error! adb.exe not found !!
can not be performed because there is no necessary files
Press any key to continue . . ."

Did that and it installed successfully. Installed them a few times actually.

This is driving me nuts that I cant root this phone. Surely someone else has a T-Mobile version rooted

have you tried to kill the process of PCCompanion in the window task manager before running the script ?

[FIXED!!][Q] rooted Xperia SP front camera problem

I have. 245 xperia sp and rooted. I was bricked my phone and flashed it with flashtool and it works like the first when i bought it. Then i rooted my phone. Everything works fine but when i used my front camera, it goes black and didnt said nothing. When i pressed the capture button, it works with my face in it.
Do i need to reflash and root my Xsp again? Any idea? :

what app do you use? camera360? i just wanna fix my camera

And i also can't use my rear (8.0 mp) camera to Any other camera-needs apps like qr reader, etc should i push the original camera .apk file to my system/App folder?

Older kernels will break front camera function on .254. MUST USE 254 kernel on 254 firmware for the front camera to work.

No, the older kernels is just to fool the script to root the phone, then you put back the correct kernel and voila!

[Q] My Z1 camera disappear, how come?

without root
without unlocking bootloader
just suddenly disappear after a night

I can still use my camera with other apps on play store
just the apps logo, and can not start with unlock screen

That should be the problem. I've never using repair feature on Sony PC Companion, so I don't know if the method will wipe the data. Flashing fresh FTF will be work, you can exclude data wiping tho.

Using Sony Companion will wipe all data, I think I need to backup all the data before repair it.... by Sony's repair tool in phone is extremely slow, any better method( no root needed)

Flashing an FTF with flashtool doesn't need root. Flashtool giving you many options, you can exclude data wiping. So your data will be saved during flashing process.

I just tried to uninstall the update for camera in setting →apps→all apps, after that I found out that I found the camera widget, but still only superior auto and manual mode is not working, and AR effect , info eyes are working fine

I've found that at least 4 packages that related to camera. One of them is Camera Common. Check if that package has been updated too. If so, uninstall the update should be work.

[Q] cant register phone on 3g and LTE network

Hi, recently, after some several mods done to my phone, it can't connect to 3g and LTE network. I has tried to flash several generic 'MY' ftf (since i'm from Malaysia) and other ftf but still can't register to 3g and LTE network. I can only register to Edge network. I attached several screenshots for references. Really appreciate if anyone could help to advise on this. God bless.

did you try other sim cards other than you're currently using?

Yes. I has already tried to change with other sim card. But the result is the same. Can only recognize 3g network but still cant register to it.

maybe you messed-up with the baseband of your phone? did you unlock your bootloader? what's the last ting you do to your phone before the issues happened?

Seriously i cant remember as recently i had randomly flashed several mods.
By the way, today i has already relocked the bootloader but then it still happen to have same issue..

okay, i hope this works.
lets try from the start. flash a clean .157 ROM then follow this next step. I hope this will refresh your baseband.
if not working, try to update to lollipop via PCC.
let me know if it works.

U mean update through pcc after flash the .157 ftf?
Because i has update twice to LP using pcc after relocking my device. But not from .157 as u mentioned. It is from .108
Or perhaps this is a hardware failure?
