Has anyone seen or heard anything about a charging dock with a 3.5mm audio jack? I had a pogo dock with my Gnex and loved it. I stream Pandora 8 hours a day so being able to just toss the phone into a dock is better then picking up the headphone jack and the charger.

That's the one I linked to in my post
thank you
ordering now
headphones?
I didn't think about it until I got mine,"same as you are ordering" You won't hear it ring, unless you have headphones on, or external speakers plugged in. I love it, but have to remember you might miss calls. Quig
Finally a speaker dock for our tabs http://www.amazon.com/Philips-AS851-37-Fidelio-Docking/dp/B005HY4UH8/ref=pd_sim_sbs_e_2
While it is a great idea, the price is in no way feasible. This speaker cost more than I paid for my Tab, the problem lies with Samsung and their product releases. They push too many tabs into the market at a time. I would sell my current Tab, the OG, and save 200 and buy the 10.1 inch Tab, but that's just me.
I just tried this dock on Sunday at Best Buy with my Nexus S... the plug is rather flimsy and made me nervous about leaving my phone on it. But the worst thing is that connecting it via dock connector doesn't automatically play music through the speakers (like iPod dock connector speakers do). You have to connect via Bluetooth. Apparently Philips has an app that goes along with this speaker, but I don't know whether it gives you that functionality.
Are you certain that speaker dock will accommodate the samsung connector? It's pictured with a micro usb connector.

No it has nothing to do with the samsung connector. This is a Bluetooth connection and streams the audio over A2DP profile.
This is pretty expensive for the price. You're better off finding another Bluetooth streaming speaker. I think Jawbone just came out with a wireless speaker for like $99.
Is anyone using the Moto Car Dock? I was looking at getting one for my wife but after reading a few reviews I'm a little confused about something. I see it comes with a 3.5mm cable but do you have to use it? One reviewer said when the phone was in the dock they could not get any sound out of the built in speaker. That doesn't sound right to me but I was hoping someone could confirm or deny that bit of info.
Thanks,
Kurt
I just got my Moto Navigation Dock yesterday and am loving it. I can confirm that the dock itself does not change your audio output. It is the special usb/audio cable that changes that. If you use a normal USB cable instead of the hybrid one, the speaker on the Droid 4 still sounds.
I just went out to my car and tried this with my Droid 2 charger and the Droid 4 dock.
Also, beware because the Verizon branded Navigation Dock kit does not include any USB cable or vehicle charger. The Motorola branded one does include the hybrid cable and the dual port vehicle charger.
On a side note, my only disappointment with the dock is that the clip at the top is engaged the screen is secured from flipping open. This is unlike all the previous Moto Droid chargers, which all allowed access to the physical keyboard while docked.
If you have any other questions or want me to try out any combinations, let me know!
Thanks for the reply. What you said about the cable makes sense. That's exactly the information I needed.
Thank You.
Kurt
Can you use the camera with this dock, or is it obscured by the plastic?

Camera works fine with this dock.
Anyone having issues with their headphone jack?
It seems hit or miss whether or not my headphones will produce a good sound or not. There's a great deal of turning the connector to fix the problem currently.
And before any body asks, no, I'm 100% positive its not the headphone cord or jack, seeing as playing the audio through my DAC/Portable amp set up doesn't produce the same problem.
Bum headphone jack?

My son had this problem with his sol jax buds. Only seemed to be a problem on the Moto X, and other headphones worked fine on the Moto X. Didn't see any excess glue or another outward sign of a problem. Motorola replaced the buds with another pair of the same model and all works fine now.
My dell desk speakers won't work when plugged in directly to motox but they will work with an extension cable plugged in. I have similar issues with certain headphones and my tablet. I guess headphone jacks on mobile devices are not all made the same?

Is there any dock out there that I could use the headphone jack on my G4 while it's docked?
The problem is its placed at the bottom.
Consider using a wireless charging dock.

Any suggestions since the G4 doesn't have wireless charging support?
