Hi
Quite like the nook hd plus, but one thing is spoiling it for me,whenever i need to get back to the homescreen i have to press the n button,is there any tweak i can use similar to "zepher" on cydia, thats availble for android, that would allow a touch gesture of some kind to return to the homescreen.
On my jailbroken ipad,i just swipe up to close out of my current app,and return to the homescreen,is there anything similar for the nook?
Cheers.
Try Button Savior (Google app store). I've been using it on my rooted Nook tablet, as well as my HD+ running CM 10.1. It creates a set of soft keys you can use for a variety of actions, including home, back, off, etc

On my rooted nc i have downloaded several apps but none of them show up in my extras section of my nook. I have to go into the market to see them. Is there a way to get them to show up? I don't really want to use an alternate home because I like the nook color user interface. I bought this as an ereader that i could add my fave apps to and i would like to keep the UI to reflect that but going into the market every time i want to launch an app is a pain. Is there a solution? Rooted with the latest auto nooter.

Have you tried turning the NC totally off by holding down the power button? I find that apps don't appear unless it has been turned off and on again.
That did it! Thanks!

Hi all,
Can anyone recommend a good task switch er, something like ctrl tab in windows that can be controlled by the notification, gesture or long press of home key that works on the kindle hd ?
I would like to use it to capture notes into one note and easily switch between one note and the ebook reading apps.
Thanks in advance

A better idea may be to get aNdClip. It allows you to store multiple items in your clipboard (up to 100 for the free version) to called back whenever you want. It would prevent you from having to switch back and forth between apps.
Put your frequently used apps in favorites. You have to do it in stock launcher I think, but that favorites is accessible everywhere and you can switch apps via it.
Thanks for the tips and suggestions!

Hi,
at the first I wish you an happy new year. Does anyone known how to enable KFHD to display the recent/running apps?
I mean a button same to this picture right bottom, next to the home button.
http://www.techaheadcorp.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/android-roboto-font2.png
This is using in a regularly android to switch between the open apps.
In a first step it is enough to have an app in the KFHD favorized apps menu, that is able to show the recent apps.
Anyone an idea to solve my requirement?
Best regards!

Had a heck of a time figuring out where this should go, if its in the wrong forum, feel free to move it.
I'm using dolphin browser on my touchpad because its the only mobile browser that I can find that supports Lastpass via add ons.
My problem is the touchpad doesn't have the native "back" button that all android tablets have and there doesn't seem to be a way to do it within the browser. Is there any workaround for this? The only solution I have found is to go to the gesture screen and use a gesture for "back". This is pretty cumbersome to say the least and for some reason the little dolphin button isn't consistently there.
Thanks.
I'm using Schizoid if that matters.
I'm using Dolphin on CM9 and it has the back button.
No questions here.
Pretty easy to see where Q&A is...

Didn't seem like there was any android discussion in there. Sorry.

If you don't have the back button on Schizoid, you haven't set it up properly. Check the OP, but it can probably be fixed by: get softkey buttons in navbar, go to Settings->System->Navigation bar->Tablet UI soft buttons You should also check your settings to make sure you haven't set the navbar buttons to hide with full screen apps.
Hello, recently I bought nook hd+ and installed nova luncher right away. The problem is that on Nova I can't access recent tasks. First, pressing the button brings menu with big delay (working good with stock launcher) and it doesn't show any app there(again works good on stock). How can I make recent tasks work? I'm rooted by the way.
Also(not related) when I uninstall some bloatware, after some time they still come back. I uninstalled normally, with titanium backup, deleting all directly but they still come back. Any solution?

No, the third party launchers do not show recents. You need to get another third party app like recents plus.
And those apps are put back by stock automatically. Since you are rooted you could try freezing them with TB. That might work.
