I know a few sense JB 4.1.2 custom roms a few months ago had T-Mo's WiFi calling added to them. Does any know how this was done? There are ZERO custom Tmo roms and alot of mods break the stock roms because they aren't deodexed. Little help here?

I've recently downgraded back to 4.1.2 for wifi calling and found an old TrickDroid rom with the files. If you download the latest 4.1.2 rom (its 5.6.0) inside the /additions/device/tmous/system folder, you'll find the necessary files to flash to gain wifi calling. It will only work on 4.1.2 Sense roms though.

Has Anyone Successfully Flashed A Cooked Rom On AT&T N1?
My att n1 should be deliverd tomorrow, and I was wondering if the tmo rooting process has worked for anyone with the att version. I know with previos phones the rom and radio had no bearing as long as it was GSM however I noticed that the att version does not support the tmo bands and vise versa so should the radio update be skiped? or does it work ok?
if u look around and read... u'll find the answer...
FYI, yes... most of the cooked ROMs work fine with the ATT N1.. CM 5.0.4.1, MCR 1.9+, Enomther 1.7.1, Modaco Desire A15+.
The difference between the T-Mo N1 & the ATT N1 is the radio... the EPE54B firmware has the firmware module for both radios and has an updated RIL (Radio Interface Layer) library. CM does not touch the RIL library, so what's in the stock remains. Enomther's & Modaco's ROMs already have the latest RIL libraries because the firmware was leaked before the ATT N1 was released...
I'm using MoDaCo 2.0. Works great. Unlocked bootloader, flashed Amon's 1.6.2 recovery, then flashed the ROM. It's not rooted, however. I thought that was only necessary to use WiFi tethering, etc.? I tried the "SuperBoot", but it put everything in a FC loop. I had to wipe & reflash to get it working again.
thanks guys, I have seen that the roms were working for att, however did not see any information on a difference in the rom prep, and wanted to be sure, because I intend to hack this phone before even making a call with it, and did want it to be an all night process. thanks again

Great... go ahead and have fun with cooked ROMs... the only difference between the two devices is what I explained in my earlier post... so cooking is the same...
I just recently rooted and started flashing ROMs on my T-Mobile HTC One. Something I only just noticed is that I lost the ability to make calls via wifi. Is there a ROM that will give that back to me? I don't use it often, but it would be nice to have it back.
Thanks.

This is a typical issue for custom roms. When I asked they told me that they were waiting on T-Mobile to release an update.
Only the source for 4.1.2 rom has been released, so order for that to work you will have to use a custom rom that is 4.1.2 and supports T-Mobile. Since most custom roms are now 4.2.2, that means you will have to go back through the roms older versions and run one that is 4.1.2. Basically, unless you need it badly, there is no reason to run an older rom just for that. The 4.2.2 source should be available before long and then that feature will be included in custom roms running 4.2.2 for T-Mobile.
Ah ok, that makes sense. I don't usually need it. I'm going out of country here soon, and was going to use that rather than international rates. No big deal. Thanks all!

I've tried a few different ROMS for my HTC ONE, but turns out that most Sense 5.5 ROMS with Android 4.3+ don't work with wifi-tether (needed for hotshield VPN) and wifi-calling.
Which custom ROMS work or are recommended?
Thanks.

You will have to use an OEM based rom that is based on the t-mobile software as they are the only ones that use the wifi calling. As for teathering I cant say as I have never found a need for it.
Im desperately in search of a way I can flash a GPE Rom onto the ATT (i537) variant s4active. I HATE the whole touchwiz UI. and I have tried removing it manually, by replacing stock TW apps with google apps and uninstalling TW apps. But I want the whole enchilada. The SystemUI and interface of the Google Play edition s4 active. I know they have roms for the international version. but is there anyone out there that knows how I can get a stock google android rom onto my device.
im running 4.4.2 NC9 rooted and with safestrap.
I know theres like a kernel difference in aosp roms so idk how it all works. I would just love to take off touchwiz completely. any help would be greatly appreciated.
sorry if I offend anyone on here. since it seems like everyones so touchy about things posted here... so if I put this question in the wrong place or something, sorry.

The short answer to your question is that you can't, you're stuck with TouchWiz until the bootloader is unlocked. The reason for this is that the bootloader checks files you try to flash to the phone to make sure they are signed by Samsung. In order to use something other than a TouchWiz rom on the i537, you need to flash a different kernel. And since other kernels aren't signed by Samsung it will fail to flash.
The GPE for 4.2.2 that you are referring to was able to use the existing Samsung stock kernel, so it seemed that you were using an AOSP ROM, but it was still using Samsung's kernel. The newer GPE roms (4.3 and 4.4.2) can no longer utilize the stock Samsung kernel so they are non-functional. Unfortunately since you're on 4.4.2 you have the new bootloader and there is no way to downgrade back to 4.2.2 and use the GPE rom. Your only option at this point is to use the stock rom or find a compatible rom that you can live with until somebody figures out how to unlock the bootloader (hopefully in August).

If your phone is totally unlocked so never mind modem and csc
To avoid problems keep default modem chosen by aroma installer

I am running the above ROM. It is Stock i9305 4.4. And if you are coming from android 4.1. then there is a version without the Knox Bootloader.
Then just delete or deactive all the Samsung/bloat apps you dont need, and then install the Xposed frameworks you do need.
Then you get all the Samsung functionality, like Screenshot slap or Smartstay, without the Samsung bloat.
