If your phone is totally unlocked so never mind modem and csc
To avoid problems keep default modem chosen by aroma installer

I am running the above ROM. It is Stock i9305 4.4. And if you are coming from android 4.1. then there is a version without the Knox Bootloader.
Then just delete or deactive all the Samsung/bloat apps you dont need, and then install the Xposed frameworks you do need.
Then you get all the Samsung functionality, like Screenshot slap or Smartstay, without the Samsung bloat.

I know a few sense JB 4.1.2 custom roms a few months ago had T-Mo's WiFi calling added to them. Does any know how this was done? There are ZERO custom Tmo roms and alot of mods break the stock roms because they aren't deodexed. Little help here?

I've recently downgraded back to 4.1.2 for wifi calling and found an old TrickDroid rom with the files. If you download the latest 4.1.2 rom (its 5.6.0) inside the /additions/device/tmous/system folder, you'll find the necessary files to flash to gain wifi calling. It will only work on 4.1.2 Sense roms though.
Hello!
Im new to android story so please excuse my stupid questions.
I would like to install the barest version of gingerbread on my phone. Where to find it? Im not clear if stock mod is what i have on my phone now (original) or is it android without the preinstalled apps that i cant uninstall? I Would like the version without any preinstalled apps.
And since im meddling with my phone, what do you think is the best kernel to use with bare gingerbread?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2198341
Gingerbread is Android 2.3. The S Advance has Android 4.1.2 available for it (AKA Jellybean). Follow the above guide to upgrade to Jellybean, and if you want you can also install a custom kernel or ROM.
Stock ROM Gingerbread 2.3.6

Stock Rom is a System Rom which comes preinstalled in your particular android device when you buy it. Stock Rom is preinstalled by the manufacturer of that particular device such as Samsung, Nokia, Sony etc.
If you have Gingerbread 2.3.6 just do a factory reset and from Settings > Application Manager > force stop unwanted apps.
What you want is unclear in your post. What I could realize from your writing that you want a fresh Gingerbread to flash your device.
You can download official Gingerbread 2.3.6 from here. Choose OS version 2.3.6
where do u live? what is the official release for your device there?

Thank you for your replies people.
What I want is to install fresh gingerbread, but some kind of bare version, non samsungs version like i have now. Without preinstalled apps that i cant uninstall. Is that even possible?
What im asking is how is such bare version called and where to find it? and since im doing that i thought i could upgrade kernel but i m new to whole meddling with android thing so i thought i could ask which kernel is good to use with this version of gingerbread?
I live in croatia. There is no croatian version on the page above, besides, those are all samsung versions, like the original on my phone, right?
By bare version, I'm guessing you mean like stock android version like the nexus have. Unfortunately for this device, we don't have the stock android firmware. For GB, even the custom roms you found here is based on stock samsung firmware. So, there will be some samsung apps preinstalled in the custom rom.
If you upgrade to Jellybean 4.1.2, you can try the latest CM 10.1 nightlies (although it is not recommended for newbies, as it is still test builds but has gotten to a pretty stable version). Cyanogen (CM) roms are built from source and it is very similar to stock android interface.

Thanks. Thats what i wanted to know.
I ended up on this forum becouse i wanted to install new cyanogen, but after some reading here it seems that GB is still better option in terms of battery and performance. So i concluded that best bet would be gingerbread without the bloatware. Maybe ill try some GB based rom.
Anyway, i hope this information will be useful to someone else also. Or delete the thread if thats the practice on this forum.
One last question. Im pretty sure i know the answer but better be safe. If I root my phone, i will be able to unistall all the apps that were preinstalled that i cant uninstall now?

Yes, you can. You're granted with superuser access by rooting your phone. So you will be able to remove any app and play with your device anyway you want. :good:
Rooting Gingerbread is a bit tricky for newbies. Follow the guide in the following link

Im desperately in search of a way I can flash a GPE Rom onto the ATT (i537) variant s4active. I HATE the whole touchwiz UI. and I have tried removing it manually, by replacing stock TW apps with google apps and uninstalling TW apps. But I want the whole enchilada. The SystemUI and interface of the Google Play edition s4 active. I know they have roms for the international version. but is there anyone out there that knows how I can get a stock google android rom onto my device.
im running 4.4.2 NC9 rooted and with safestrap.
I know theres like a kernel difference in aosp roms so idk how it all works. I would just love to take off touchwiz completely. any help would be greatly appreciated.
sorry if I offend anyone on here. since it seems like everyones so touchy about things posted here... so if I put this question in the wrong place or something, sorry.

The short answer to your question is that you can't, you're stuck with TouchWiz until the bootloader is unlocked. The reason for this is that the bootloader checks files you try to flash to the phone to make sure they are signed by Samsung. In order to use something other than a TouchWiz rom on the i537, you need to flash a different kernel. And since other kernels aren't signed by Samsung it will fail to flash.
The GPE for 4.2.2 that you are referring to was able to use the existing Samsung stock kernel, so it seemed that you were using an AOSP ROM, but it was still using Samsung's kernel. The newer GPE roms (4.3 and 4.4.2) can no longer utilize the stock Samsung kernel so they are non-functional. Unfortunately since you're on 4.4.2 you have the new bootloader and there is no way to downgrade back to 4.2.2 and use the GPE rom. Your only option at this point is to use the stock rom or find a compatible rom that you can live with until somebody figures out how to unlock the bootloader (hopefully in August).

My note 4 is now android 5.1.1 , and I heard that you must flash custom Kernel to avoid boot loop when rooting android 5.1.
I don't know where to start, can anyone please tell me what the current most stable, fast and battery friendly solution for Note 4?
What I can think of so far are:
1. root + custom kernel+some way to debloat
2. Stock debloated TW rom like: http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-4/snapdragon-dev/trltecan-n910w8-aoa1-stock-rooted-t3025538
3. Modified stock debloated TW rom like: http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-4-tmobile/development/moving-please-dont-post-t2943845
4. Custom rom like cm: https://download.cyanogenmod.org/?device=trltetmo
ps: Apart from custom kernel, can we also root 5.1.1 note 4 by Install 5.0.1 Bootloader ? http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-4/development/root-5-1-1-n910c-t3190520 Is there some other ways that I'm not being aware of?

If it helps, I rooted and installed a modified international TW ROM. I lose wifi calling. (Never used it) Lose Tmobile hotspot (FoxFi replaces this just fine) Other then adding the APN manually and changing the region in my build.prop to US, it was pretty straight forward. If you want debloat, just root, add TWRP, wipe the stock rom and add a custom one. I prefer modified TW because of stability. I flashed the international because its 5.1.1. So far it runs very well. The ROM I flashed required no additional flashing of a kernel . Look at my sig for the ROM im currently on

I was running Darthstalker for months. It ran well for the most part. I heard there was several android bug fixes from 5.0.1 to 5.1.1 that make running a ROM more user friendly.

Hi i am just wondering if anyone here can give me there opinion on best custom rom? I basically want it to be as fast as possible with the longest battery life possible. I am super use to android 6.01 and dont mind having same user interface like standard s5. I still would like NFC and GPS to work along with all google apps. I have the SM-G900I model. Not sure if if my computer is a problem but i have a super old laptop from 2007. It has a 1.7ghz celeron cpu and i'm running windows 7 on it.
The best rom is rom based on stock rom like xtrestolite. Good batterie very smooth its the best of the best for me Now im testing NEMESIS_REBORN V 5.6. Its okii

Best choice for the S5 is a stock based MM ROM, any debloated version with root and Boeffla kernel in my opinion. So you make the best experience and all things work exactly as they should - best camera and audio functions, fast and smooth working and a long battery life. I've tested so much ROMs on it and I always came back to 6.0.1. It's of little use to me to have the latest version of Android when I constantly have to deal with errors and notice that this phone is simply overloaded with it.

Hi, I plan to install the rom xtrestolite that you mention, but I have a doubt, the g900fd model does not appear, will there be any problem in installing the g900f model?, I would greatly appreciate your answer.
I am currently using the official stock rom 6.0.1, but I don't like the application overload that the phone brings

The latest xtestrolite ROM was only for the G900H (Exynos). If you are seaching for a useless and debloated stock ROM for the G900F, try to flash the Alexandr ROM v5.9, see here. Flash the Boeffla kernel 2.5, choose CPU governor "smartmax". This kernel and its configuration tool you found in the latest posts in the very long thread about this ROM, posted by me.
