what's the best way to upgrade it ? I'm on deodexed with root. I've plenty of apps and TB doesn't save its backup tar in external storage. can I flash ftf without clearing cache ?

You can flash .244 with flashtool without wiping data just exclude wipe data.
You will have to re-root the phone again.
Ps: you can copy titanium backup folder and files to your pc and do a full wipe than copy it back and restore

Install the xperia z1 launcher you can find it in themes/apps section its great no lags whatsoever

I was trying to find a way to deodex stock .244 if I used this will it work.
1. Run the del_odex.sh with ScriptManager
2. Replace every .apk and .jar with right permissions

Use Helium (Carbon) or titanium backup to backup your apps.
Settings are also saved?

make a backup atleast before you try if you are concerned
i went from the 4.1.2 tmobile branded to .67
it seems to have broken the tethering portion of settings (i didn't wipe data)
probably going to do a fresh flash to .67 before 4.3 or 4.4 comes out.
I think I will wait for the newer android update, I know there was a flashing method to keep your apps and settings. I got my backup so try it later when 4.3 or 4.4 is released.
Thanks for the quick replies!

Factory reset Xperia Z

I'm using xperia z running 4.4.4 rooted device. Rooting was done by xda procedure (flashing) and not towelroot. I want to know that can I factory reset in device via system settings? Will this unroot my device or brick my device? Thank-you!

Factory reset wipes /data. The su (root) binaries are in the /system partition and will be untouched.
