I unlocked the bootloader and rooted my phone yesterday. Since then i have a strange issue. I used face unlock for my phone security but once unlocked it don't prompts for it again. I tried using PIN security also but its same. When i boot my phone again then it again asks but if i lokc my phone again with power button it does not ask for any PIN and unlocks straightaway . Any suggestions ?

Hi Guys,
New here so please be nice
I have read a load of the tutorials and threads here and have now attempted to CID unlock and SIM unlock my G4, I used the hard_SPL-G4 to CID unlock, which has worked well and I have managed to upgrade to WM6 THe problem that I have now is when I try to SIM unlock the phone, I am using Lokiwiz03 which runs and get the SIm unlock code, but I enter this into the phone and it seems to unlock ok as I get to the normal home page screen, now as soon as the phone tries to register onto the network it goes back to the Network is locked please enter unlock screen, if before the phone has tried to register I put it into flight mode, then everything is ok (except I cant make calls )
Does anyone have any ideas why this may be? SHould I have sim unlocked before CID unlocking?
Thanks in advance.

Hey there,
I've done a quick search of the forum but I cannot find the answer I'm looking for.
I'm trying to unlock an O2 branded XPERIA.
First, when I put a different SIM from another network, it still boots up but receives 'No Service' so I assume it's locked.
I've got a code from HTCCode but I have no idea how to enter it,
Could you guys help me?
Cheers,
Hyped
Cant you ask the person you got it off?
they'll just give me the same instructions that are on the website.
I trust XDA Developers more for better information
Wouldn't it be possible to unlock the phone by flashing the firmware?
just flash a rom.. will automaticaly unlock ur device
NATAO
i'm pretty sure that flashing a rom doesn't unlock your device...
simply put foreign SIM card in the phone. Upon boot it will ask you to enter the code. Enter the one you got from HTCunlock.
btw - flashing the phone has nothing to do with unlocking.
If you have a code means You can enter it using the instructions below and unlock it step by step...You can get the free unlocking instructions and paid unlock code from the site www.mobile-unlocker.com and unlock your phone....
Warning : Do not enter any wrong unlock codes on your Sony Ericsson Xperia mobile phones. If you enter over a certain amount of wrong unlock codes on your Sony Ericsson Xperia mobile phone, your phone may get hard locked and sometimes become unusable.
1 - Switch ON your Sony Ericsson Xperia without any SIM Card,
2 - Press the left arrow key/button once,
3 - Press the button * twice,
4 - Press the left arrow key/button once,
5 - The message "Personalize with MNC2" will appear, (or you will have displayed an unlock menu, select the lock you want to unlock)
6 - Enter the Unlock Code.
Hello.
Normally after relocking the bootloader on these phones it will say relocked. While debranding my phone I had the phone bootloader unlocked and rooted, with the untrusted boot up message. Half way through the debranded procedure I had massive issues with encryption and it not letting me past which took an age to sort out.
Once I passed that I managed to finish debranding the phone, but after flashing the the new firmware to the phone I stopped seeing the unlocked bootloader message, when I hadnt relocked the bootloader. When I checked, the bootloader was locked and frp was unlocked.
Everything is working fine with the phone, receiving updates, all themes working, everything working great.
I just don't fully understand how it's relocked itself, but Instead of it showing relocked it shows the original locked, but frp is now unlocked while the phone is locked, both originally said locked.
Anyone have any ideas. ????
Same for me
Look at
http://forum.xda-developers.com/p9-plus/how-to/guide-how-to-lock-unlocked-relocked-t3465486
Did you find out why frp doesn't go back to locked Instead of staying unlocked. I only ask because my NatWest app says i'm rooted or security settings have changed and won't let me log in via fingerprint. I wonder if it's because of this. ????
Edit. If you remove USB debugging and OEM unlock it relocks the frp lock.
Good thank you for sharing it
Hey, im coming from my old s7. So does WE have any Chance to get bootloader unlocked?
Got the phone from Three Ireland and the bootloader was unlocked, just switched the toggle in developer options and all good, just waiting for some progress with root and roms but nothing really happening here.

Yep, I get the same on my P30 Pro, type in pin and I get a popup saying: "Enable OEM unlock, Device protection features will no longer work on this device" then an "enable" and a "Cancel" button.. - not hit the enable button as yet tho, as I dunno what the "protection features" they are talking about do...
I'm not sure if toggling the oem switch actually unlocks the bootloader. Pretty sure that's half the process, but a unlock key still needs to be entered through adb/fastboot
That doesn't unlock anything. It just gives you the possibility to do so (in general, there is no solution for p30 atm)
Bootloader unlock would format every data of your phone for example, everything

Actually, this option only allows you to unlock the bootloader, without the code, you still cannot unlock it.
I just got a new Mi A2 and, thanks to Amazon, it came on a very old version of Android.
I have done Original version -> November OTA -> March OTA (Pie) and now trying to do April. However, the phone boot loops every time it tries to install it. If I leave it for 20 minutes or so unpowered it will finally restart and report 'Couldn't Update'
I have enabled OEM unlock, but not done the actual unlock in fastboot - could this be the cause? Is there a way to manually skip April too and go straight to June?
Thanks for any help.
Did have the same problem after unlocking bootloader it finished the update , was strange as hell so I stay unlocked for any case.

So do a full unlock before trying again? At the moment I don't have the boot loader unlocked, I've just enabled the OEM unlock so I could unlock in case needed.
I never wait so long always do the 3button restart and see what's going on but here I did the full unlock and then it worked. On my wife's pink a2 all went fine no unlock needed so it's strange.
Sigh. I thought all this nonsense wouldn't be needed on an Android One phone.
Will give it a week or so and then go down the full unlock and re-set up route.
FFS found the solution on one of the other myriad boot loop threads - take the sim cards out before restarting.
Good for u mine was without sim.
It's still flaky. Have to power it on manually two or three times after restart - it doesn't boot loop, it just doesn't boot.
