Ok, I saw many people asking how to unlock our X8 on all networks and I tried it on four Xperia X8 phone's and it's true, bootloader unlock succesfully unlocked X8 on all SIM cards. Yes, it asks for SIM Unlock code but I've just pressed dismiss button and it connected succesfully on other networks. I've unlocked bootloader with Flashtool v 0.5.3 and it worked on all (2.1, 2.2 &2.3) ROM's. Please try it and answer if you've succesfully unlocked your phone.

if that is of any importance
I have T-mobile locked X8.
I try to put VIP SIM card but it just won't connect to network. when I manually select VIP I get some massage. don't remember what exactly, but about forbidden network or something like that.
So I guess you are just lucky, cause it doesn't work for me.

The only time i have ever seen this is on phones that already have sim unlock. When you turn on your phone on a sim free phone which already had been unlocked it asks (EVERY TIME) to enter your network unlock code even do its already unlocked to all networks. The flash tool doesn't unlock your network

I l 'I unlocked the flashtool but I signal with a single operator ... why?
Oh,
I just realized what you wanted to say.
Bootloader can be unlocked with flashtool and, if done so, SIM unlocks too.
That's a huge thing, and should be made sticky, if so.
and what about us that unlocked bootloader before?
do we have to reflash stock kernel and relock bootloader? or can we just try to unlock with flashtool already unlocked bootloader?
I don't need my SIM unlocked now, but it would be nice to know. So, if somebody tries it please post how you did it.
I unlocked my bootloader (With msm7227), but its not sim unlocked. I have a custom kernel and custom rom, but still can't use my phone.
Any ideas?
sorry If I open this thread lot of months later, How can i unlock bootloader of this x8 with flashtool? these are the features of flashtool
Flash original Images (Android 1.6, 2.1, 2.3 Images)
Root your phone
Install Recovery, Busybox, custom kernels
Clean your Rom (remove /system/apps apps of your choice) (Be careful, unless you really know what you do, do not modify the default list. This can make your phone stuck at the SE Logo)
Clear dalvik cache
Optimize (install of JIT v2) (Disabled in 0.4, will readd it as a plugin for 2.1 phones only)
Customize (installs apps found in the custom/apps folder of the flashtool)
Clean uninstalled (remove any references to system apps removed in the Clean (root needed) step)
Edit any text file on the device
Rebrand your device

Which one is for me? Thank you!
1. connect phone to pc
2. enable debugging
3. you must have latest flashtool
4.launch flashtool
5. go to "Plugins" at top and click unlock bootloader.
Good luck!
Or you can go on yt and search for 2011matej in channels and find my profile. There is my video how to unlock bootloader with flashtool:good:

I have unlocked with msm7227 and i just tried and it isn't sim unlocked. I already have an unlocked bootloader but Can I just go into flashtool and unlock it there?
i have a hardlocked Xperia T, by unlocking the bootloader can i do and SIM unlock??
I dont know what a hardlocked is?
But sim unlocking is different to bootloader unlocking.
Please read the all in one thread (The first thread in the Q&A section) for help on unlocking the bootloader.
I have never seen a way to sim unlock an xperia device on xda, you have to google it and pay for it.

Sony gives to every phone some available number of tries to give a code and SIM unlock it. if you put a code and is not succeeded the unlocking
then you lost one chance. if your tries go to zero, then the phone is Hardlocked!!
here is the way you can see that:
With a non-accepted SIM card start up the phone. When the screen says "emergency calls"
1. Start up the phone and press the Menu key ( ) and Back key ( ) as follows:
2. Pressing Key Sequences: Menu Back Back Menu Back Menu Menu Back
Note: Please make sure the phone have SIMLOCK when pressing these keys to get into the Service menu.
OR
Press *#*#7378423#*#* and access the service menu
You will see a menu:
EX:
[ ]Network 10
[ ]Network Subset 10
[ ]Service Provider 10
[ ]Corporate 10
[ ]Sim 0

Hi,
Try these, maybe you can solve this issue:
Apply the Defreeze + Network Code if you still get the message “Unlock Unsuccessful”. It takes 5 steps:
1. Type your Defreeze code (or MCK): xxxxxxx and press Unlock button. You will get "unsuccessful” message again but don't worry.
2. Now type the Network code (or NCK): xxxxxxxxx and press Unlock button. If your phone shows “Unlock Successful" message, congratulations, your phone is unlocked. If not, proceed to step 3.
3. Make a hard-reset or factory reset of your phone. Please be informed that a hard-reset will restore your phone to the factory settings, so all apps, data and other settings added by you will be removed. We advise you to make a backup or save all data you want to keep.
In order to make a hard-reset you can either dial *27673855# on your phone or, if this method is not working, you can use these instructions in order to make the hard-reset.
4. After your phone restarts, type the Defreeze code (or MCK) xxxxxxxx, in the area below "SIM network unlock PIN" message or "Enter Network Lock Control Key" message. Press the unlock button. It will say "unsuccessful" again, don't worry!
5. Type the Network code (or NCK): xxxxxxxx and press Unlock button. Your phone should now give you the message "Unlock Successful".

thanks for replying.
i have done the hard reset, still it says unlock unsucessfull after applying the de-freeze code and unlock code.
is the rom locked ? what if i restore the firmware version will it unlock it ?
But not because I bricked my phone or something, but because the model of Xperia SP isn't found on the official Sony website.
This one: developer.sonymobile.com/unlockbootloader/
Am I doing something wrong?
Hey! I had the same problem. I needed to unlock bottloader again, but I didn't have a key from my previous attempt. So I just opened the "email confirmation" link, entered my email, recived a reply, and then everything according to the instruction of unlocking bootloader. It helped me somhow....
The XSP section for unlocking bootloader has beed deleted somehow by Sony
WTF!! I also noticed this right now...
Since I had a still locked device available - I simply tried the following:
- open http://developer.sonymobile.com/unlockbootloader/email-verification/
- entered my gmail.com address since by gmx.de / t-online.de accounts never ever received confirmation mails!!
- got mail with link to IMEI-verification site...
- entered IMEI from my still locked Xperia SP
- got unlock code
- successfully unlocked my Xperia SP with that unlock code !!!
I really don't know why Sony removed the device from the device selection :-S
I hope, I could help you....
SONY is doing glories again!
Anyway, even that our device is no longer in the list, do note that it can still be unlocked, if the SERVICES menu say so. Just choose any device in the list, and hit Continue. You will then be escorted to a page requesting your e-mail address. Just enter it and follow the instructions. Yes, it may sent you an e-mail about unlocking the "other phone" you chose earlier, but it is fine. When you enter your IMEI in the next page, it will return you the correct bootloader unlock key
Or, you may just directly use the link on above post
i got this from a friend in Canada (i live in the states) was surprised i was able to get the SIM Unlock code but not sure how much more usefull past end of 2019 actuall cell service will be on this as 3G is shutting down by providers in my area by Jan 1st 2021). I Managed to root it Easily (Towelroot/Kingoroot)but notice theres custom roms avilable for this aging phone./ ( wouldnt even use this for everyday use, i have a galaxy A20 as my daily driver as it were,)
Going thru the Service menu, and looking at options it does sadly show the bootloader is in an "No" state for unlocking. Is there a means to force this so i can flash TWRP&LineageOS?
You can unlock bootloader only using fastboot and unlock code. To get unlock code visit
