But not because I bricked my phone or something, but because the model of Xperia SP isn't found on the official Sony website.
This one: developer.sonymobile.com/unlockbootloader/
Am I doing something wrong?
Hey! I had the same problem. I needed to unlock bottloader again, but I didn't have a key from my previous attempt. So I just opened the "email confirmation" link, entered my email, recived a reply, and then everything according to the instruction of unlocking bootloader. It helped me somhow....
The XSP section for unlocking bootloader has beed deleted somehow by Sony
WTF!! I also noticed this right now...
Since I had a still locked device available - I simply tried the following:
- open http://developer.sonymobile.com/unlockbootloader/email-verification/
- entered my gmail.com address since by gmx.de / t-online.de accounts never ever received confirmation mails!!
- got mail with link to IMEI-verification site...
- entered IMEI from my still locked Xperia SP
- got unlock code
- successfully unlocked my Xperia SP with that unlock code !!!
I really don't know why Sony removed the device from the device selection :-S
I hope, I could help you....
SONY is doing glories again!
Anyway, even that our device is no longer in the list, do note that it can still be unlocked, if the SERVICES menu say so. Just choose any device in the list, and hit Continue. You will then be escorted to a page requesting your e-mail address. Just enter it and follow the instructions. Yes, it may sent you an e-mail about unlocking the "other phone" you chose earlier, but it is fine. When you enter your IMEI in the next page, it will return you the correct bootloader unlock key
Or, you may just directly use the link on above post

Hey there,
I've done a quick search of the forum but I cannot find the answer I'm looking for.
I'm trying to unlock an O2 branded XPERIA.
First, when I put a different SIM from another network, it still boots up but receives 'No Service' so I assume it's locked.
I've got a code from HTCCode but I have no idea how to enter it,
Could you guys help me?
Cheers,
Hyped
Cant you ask the person you got it off?
they'll just give me the same instructions that are on the website.
I trust XDA Developers more for better information
Wouldn't it be possible to unlock the phone by flashing the firmware?
just flash a rom.. will automaticaly unlock ur device
NATAO
i'm pretty sure that flashing a rom doesn't unlock your device...
simply put foreign SIM card in the phone. Upon boot it will ask you to enter the code. Enter the one you got from HTCunlock.
btw - flashing the phone has nothing to do with unlocking.
If you have a code means You can enter it using the instructions below and unlock it step by step...You can get the free unlocking instructions and paid unlock code from the site www.mobile-unlocker.com and unlock your phone....
Warning : Do not enter any wrong unlock codes on your Sony Ericsson Xperia mobile phones. If you enter over a certain amount of wrong unlock codes on your Sony Ericsson Xperia mobile phone, your phone may get hard locked and sometimes become unusable.
1 - Switch ON your Sony Ericsson Xperia without any SIM Card,
2 - Press the left arrow key/button once,
3 - Press the button * twice,
4 - Press the left arrow key/button once,
5 - The message "Personalize with MNC2" will appear, (or you will have displayed an unlock menu, select the lock you want to unlock)
6 - Enter the Unlock Code.

make sure that you have 11w29 or lower!!!

Make sure that your phone manufacturing date is before 11W29, otherwise you may hard-brick your phone.

Bought the Huawei P9 for mom but unfortunately got stuck with it. If someone could help with the step by step approach to unlock the bootloader for the newbies like myself who are trying the phone for the first time, it would be great.
Bootloader Unlock through Huawei:
1. Visit the site: https://emui.huawei.com/en/plugin.php?id=unlock&mod=detail
2. provide the required information to generate the unlock code.
3. once you have the unlock code, follow the tutorial mentioned on the following link:https://emui.huawei.com/en/plugin.php?id=unlock&mod=step
once the boot loader is unlocked, you will be always prompted about the phone not being trusted, ignore it
Sorry, no support for the European user login.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=66782268&postcount=5
The only way around this is you're in the UK is to email Huawei with your IMEI number (dial *#06#) , serial number (look on the box or settings > about phone > status) and product ID (dial *#*#1357946#*#*).
You can email [email protected]
I can't even get logged in to the account linked to my mobile due to the "Sorry, no support for the European user login." message.
As mentioned, if I started a new account through the website, I get the 14 day message. I can't link that account to my phone due to a similar error to the one above, so I will never be logged in for 14 days.
I received the same message, "Sorry, no support for the European user login."
good afternoon, I have a problem with my xperia z1 c6903 when unlocking the bootloader I get a message that says your phone can not be officially unlocked that I should thank.
Apparently Sony has blocked the ability to unlock the bootloader on certain devices.
This is most likely the case if you got your phone from your carrier. Do you have a branded Z1?
You can also look up if this is the case by doing the following:
1. Open dialler and enter *#*#7378423#*#*
2. Go to Service info > Configuration > Rooting Status.
3. "Bootloader unlock allowed" should say Yes
If it doesn't, then at least the official way of unlocking your device won't work.
Any "not official" way to unlock the bootloader? Mine is locked too and i want to install something new in that old one. Thanks in advance.
Mine says not posible but i read somewere that can be done
That's the thing, is an old smartphone today, i don't understand why only certains models can be unlocked. Now im on last oficial os (5.1.1). I get it root but i cant unlock the bootloader in any way.

Hi.
I have a sony xperia zx2 H8216.
So i was going to reset my phone with Xperia Companion. But no it does not do that..
Found Emma updater, followed guide in Sony Developer page and more.
Installed usb drivers throu device manager from Sonys page.
In phone: Enabled developer mode, OEM, Usb de-bugging.
*#*#7378423#*#* Code shows:
configuration> info Bootloader> unlock allowed: Yes
Root status: not_done
I run Emma as followed in guide. It says phones is locked..
And very long error in info box code..
Did these few times, re installed sofware, restarted win10 many times and factory reset my phone aswell.
Now dont know where to go from here.
