Today I've updated my XPERIA SP to 12.0.A.2.254 firmware via OTG after completion of update I used my mobile till the battery drains to 12%. Then I connected to charger and left my mobile free, After some time(charged 80%) I used my mobile and play CANDY CRUSH SAGA game for some time(few MINUTES without disconnecting the CHARGER) . After going to HOME SCREEN I noticed that my XPERIA SP is charged to 101%
I also got this problem few weeks ago....
Is there any user facing the same problem on XPERIA SP....?
Is it a serious problem......?

You'll need some sort of rapid charger. Not sure if they exist though. More then 2 hours is about right. I have same experience but it doesn't bother me.

Mine get fully charge under 2 hour..should be Ok..but v battery isnt as lasting as other phone..since the battery capacity is just too small for a LTE powered phone..

Best way to ensure your phone is fully charge is to make it die. Then, make sure it's unable to turn on. Charge it without turning it on for 2-3 hours.

For me ZR is better + compact.
I would say the ZR is better. The specs are nearly identical but the ZR has better battery life and is more compact which is what's important to me. The only thing that would make the Z better than the ZR for some people is the screen size, but i just don't want a phone with a 5inch screen.
For me, ZR is:
*Perfect in Size
*removable battery
*the camera result better than Z (in my opinion)
*better contrast (in my opinion too)
What i dont like in Z :
*5inch is too big for me
*too much issue (i've seen so much report from Z user in forum like Screen Cracking it self, Overheating, etc)
*Non-Removable Battery+Drain so fast

It will be my first android device. Had been using Symbians and iPhones since ages.
When I was looking around, found Xperia line to be disgusting when I heard the reviews from my friends who are facing problems to get their batteries replaced. Sony center is asking for about 15000 rupees (half the phone's MRP).
Anyway, what do you guys suggest between Xperia ZR (available for very cheap 17k and a removable battery) v/s Note 3 Neo (about 27k) ?
My usage are centered on Web Browsing (3G) and Emails for 95% of times, rest 5% is texting, calls etc. No games, no movies/videos, etc. Have iPads for those.
Or some other device in the similar price range, you would like to recommend? (Not finding it worth to spend 35k+ for an android phone).
Any suggestion will be a great help !!
Get ZR.or moto x

This is my battery life on Xperia ZR 4.4.4
21hrs on battery
34%remaining
3hrs 20min SOT
Is this good??
Sent from my C5502 using XDA Free mobile app
I would say average to good!
For me it's awesome, my battery life is ****.. I need to recharge at least 2 times a day..
battery life depends on our usage. its different for every phone. even it changes from battery to battery. some batteries come manufactured with some faults. It also depends on mobile service operator. how often the automatic network config is communicating with the tower. Using 3G consumes a lot of battery power.
I was using Xperia SP before and its battery backup was so much better than ZR. Once battery lasted for 3 days. Can u believe it?
I regret selling SP and getting ZR.

Battery life has been worse in KitKat roms. On jb it was very good. Let's hope it improves on lollipop.
