Dungeon Hunter 4 STUTTERING/LAGGING - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Running ARHD 21.0 with ElementalX kernel, running the game on medium settings and it still stutters and laggs from 2 to 2 seconds thus making the gameplay not enjoyable...You guys can think of anything that might be causing this?

I am running a clean install of ROM. But still the same issue

I think it's 4.3 which is not finished yet maybe. I have more lags on 4.3 than I did on 4.2.2
Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk 4

For me it was a DH4 update a couple of days ago.
I played it on 4.3 with the same kernel as now, but now I have the lags, too. - Before the Game update I barely noticed it.

ATM I am running on 4.3 but I also flashed stock 4.2 and had the same lags. So i think it must be on their end...

Screen freeze after flashing Serendipity 4.3

i flashed to Serendipity 4.3 last night and i love it but having a problem with the screen freezing. it has already done it on my twice since last night. once on google maps, once on google nav, once on the lock screen and once on the browser. it's all over the board. anybody have any ideas?
What kernel is in that build?
might just be a bad flash. if its really that bad i would try flashing it again.
OC/UV could be problem.....
OP, I too had frequent freeze issues when i flashed 4.3.
Why don't you try 5.0, MikeyMike01 mentioned some phones can't handle OC/UV.
4.3 has Steam Kernel and it was replaced with SpeedMod kernel in 5.0.
I flashed to 5.0 after odin+master clear as soon as 5.0 was released about 20 hrs ago. Not a single issue. Everything seems to be working fine. Haven't tried gps though.
Good luck.

I had the same issues, mine froze during flashing and had a hell of time getting back into recovery or download mode to re-flash. Now on any ROM I replace the OC/UV kernal with a non-OC/UV kernal and flash away.
I've tried all the OC/UV kernals my phone can not handle any of them.

Temple Run Lag...

Hi Guys,
I have been running temple run on PA without any issues.
Yesterday, i installed Stock ICS DDLPA.
After that temple run is not as smooth as it was in PA.
I have rooted my device and installed Chainfire 3d but still the game is not smooth.
Any tips..?
Regards
I'm running a rooted stock ICS, but I installed Carbon Tweaks and everything is very speedy, and battery life is pretty incredible too.
It might be worth a shot

I am using Franco Kernel R5 and downloaded it to test and it works perfect for me.
So far this is the only kernel that was flawless for my phone so you may want to try it.
you could try the force gpu rendering option under developer options. that might help
but i dont need it, the game works flawlessly for me
Runs fine on Asylum as well.

Flashing 4.2.2 over 4.3

Hi guys,
I just want to ask if it is possible to flash any 4.2.2 Rom over a 4.3 one without changing the Bootloader or Modem (as far as I know kernel there are no other things updated in 4.3 except some features in stock Rom and kernel). I'm sorry if there is a thread like this one out there but I couldn't find it on my phone app
Thanks in advance for your time and help

It's because I like to have all the possibilities to personalise nz phone, and Roms like MIUI won't get 4.3 support in the next time it's just my opinion

4.3's stock kernel sucks hard. I've experienced "unexpectedly closed" errors with certain apps and the device sometimes reboots itself without apparent reason. Had to flash the latest franco's nightly kernel in order to get this faulty release somewhat stable.
Nice GoinGoogle.

It is possible with custom recovery, not possible with fastboot without updating the bootloader. You may use any modem. You need 4.3 kernel.
EDIT: my bad, it was other way around. Yes, it is possible.
4.3 stinks like hot garbage. I'm not upgrading, and I'm going to downgrade my new N7 to 4.2.2 if possible. 4.3 is like windows ME.
I still have 4.2.2 on my N4 and have only tried 4.3 on my Kindle Fire. From my experience I have little interest in upgrading my N4 for the time being, since 4.3.x will likely fix all the JSS and JWR issues.

I think your problem is caused by your usage pattern / apps which are not updated for 4.3, combined with unstable root. Don't blame Google unless you experience the same behaviour on unrooted stock.

Wrong.
I experienced those crashes while on stock, even with google applications. that's a faulty release, not faulty device nor usage. for god sake, even "settings" menu has "unexpectedly closed" on me once.

I have had totally different experience with 4.2.2. To be honest I didn't like it at all. I didn't find it as "rock solid" as many other users here. (I came from Galaxy Nexus. Android 4.2 compared to really rock solid jzo54k 4.1.2 was imo buggy as hell. It didn't bring any performance boost but rather did the opposite: BT, WIFI issues, mem leak etc.) Plus I found this low touch sensitivity extremaly irritating. I use rooted stock 4.3 and so far I haven't noticed any bigger issues. Even if I do I really don't see a point to go back to still buggy 4.2.2. I think my device performs much better on 4.3. Maybe it's just a placebo effect, but it feels snappier and smoother. Just my subjective opinion.
Of course I do understand people that miss their favorite custom roms, whose 4.3-versions are still unavailable.
4.2.2 had and has clearly wifi/bt issues (major data stalls, difficulties in re-enabling bt after 20-30 hours of uptime).
These issues were solved. however, I'd expect 4.3 to be as stable as it can be, especially when it took more than 5 months for its release. Unfortunately, that's not the case. not even close, which is rather embarrassing.
I really was expecting for iOS-like smoothness and stability by now.

Maybe that's been your experience but my experience has been the exact opposite. It's made my N4 even more of a pleasure to use. It's smoother, snappier, and battery life is amazing. Mind you, I've never really had any problems with 4.2.2 except maybe GPS locking problems, which 4.3 solved. The only real problem with 4.3 is this whole JWR/JSS nonsense.

Not sure what's going on your end but my phone has been rock solid with no FCs at all since upgrading to 4.3 using the factory image (I never go the OTA route)
In case you're both running a stock 4.3 (unrooted), you're more than welcomed to run "angry gran run - running game" by ace viral and watch it boldly & proudly crash. If not on beginning, after few minutes. Just only one example out of many.

Not sure if this is the right place but here goes.
I am on AOKP milestone 1 might update to milestone 2 soon. But what do I have to keep in mind when making the jump to 4.3? Will I be able to downgrade later without problems? I dont understand the modems and bootloader stuff. Plus if I flash 4.3 I will lose root, so how do I flash 4.3 without loosing root? do I root the phone again after flashing? or is there a shortcut?

You can flash a 4.3 rom in recovery, but its recommended to flash radio and bootloader in recovery.

Android 4.3 ROMs require radio version .84 (or a hybrid 27/84 or 33/84 radio) and bootloader version makoz20i. As Thibaultvw points out radio version .84 and bootloader version makoz20i are both available as flashable zip files and should both be installed before installing a 4.3 based ROM. In addition, Android 4.3 requires SuperSU version 1.51 for working root privileges.
After upgrading the radio and bootloader for Android 4.3, you can restore or install an Android 4.2.2 ROM without changing the bootloader or radio.

[Q] Which post-gingerbread N1 rom is the least buggy? [ANSWERED]

I cant run Gingerbread (GB) because many apps I use do not support such an old Android version.
So it must be between Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS), Jellybean (JB), and Kitkat (KK).
I've tried a few roms and cannot find the buglessness I seek:
[ROM] [4.1.2] [Mar 18 2013] Slim VJ Jelly Bean 4.1.2 - v1.0 for N1
VJ's previous non-slim JB rom
Evervolv's Kitkat
j00m's Kitkat
MIUI.us's unofficial JB port v2.12.28 (considerably worse than the official GB MIUI rom)
reider123's CM10 rom
tommypacker's pixeldroid AOKP kitkat
tommypacker's CM10.1.3 Android 4.2.2 v2.7
parkedraccoon's CM11
Evervolv ICS
All of them contain frustrating bugs. So the search continues to find the most workingest post-gingerbread rom.
Together, I'm sure we can find it! Who's got a lead?
And the winner is...
j00m's kitkat!
I'm using it on a 198/3/235 hboot (system is only 191mb)
one of the only roms besides official Evervolv that has trackball wake toggle (no more pocket wake-ups!)
on my recommendation, j00m replaced the /system/app/Torch.apk with one that stays on after screen turns off.
Tip: enable lock screen widgets in Security settings, and put the torch widget on the lock screen for quick access.
j00m fixed WiFi tethering (w/security set to None only)
i replaced the slow buggy stock kitkat browser with UCbrowser (it's even faster than dolphin)
i turned off the clunky window animations in Developer Options for a snappier experience
i installed the app Videocam Illusion to enable video recording
this is as bug free as it gets. Daily driver ready.

Hmm, the only decent post-gingerbread ROM I found was Evervolv/J00m's KitKat. It works fine for me, but others haven't had such luck...Evervolv JellyBean (3.2.0 I believe?) was the best alternative, I can't remember what problem caused me to switch back to CM7. I think (if my memory serves me correctly) that one time it was the home button that wouldn't work, but the second time around it worked, I think it had something to do with running out of space, perhaps due to the GAPPS? Anyhow, you might give it a try and see if it works for you. Maybe try to flash the core GAPPS and get the play store to install your stuff instead of the full GAPPS which is way bigger.
I have the same problem with a 4.4 evevolv, the phone restarts constantly and gives me process.media was interrupted.

Actually, the solution isn't as easy to find as I remember. What worked for me was to clear data of media storage: Settings > Apps > All > Media Storage. Others have reported that they had to clear data of Contacts and Contacts Storage located in the same place.

I can not even get there, and it freezes before it restarts.
That recovery is to be used with black roses to install the 4.4?
Because the CM11 at the time of the flash failed?

Now I installed the 11 cm, everything ok, except that the gapps did not install, and when I open mount2sd asks me to install a script, do the procedure but do not install and I get this error: Failed to reboot the device into recovery because the limitation of the rail toolbox
The 31-12-13 built is not useful at all. Its the worst. Try CM 11 an wait a few days for a update.

I'll give it a try.
@PhilipTD, yep, I think that's the one: [ROM] [DEV] [ICS 4.0.4] *7/1* Evervolv's Aosp TexasIce Cream Sandwich
hboot 220/10/206
I found a working download link to the final version of Evervolv's ICS rom (Evervolv-Perdo-2.2.0-Final-passion.zip): http://evervolv.codefi.re/builds/release/Perdo/
And its corresponding gapps: http://d-h.st/AxV
I tested Evervolv's ICS and immediately found 2 bugs that have been haunting me:
Cant play videos embedded in webpages.
Pressing the trackball to take a photo always requires 2 presses for the first photo.
So I gave the latest j00m's Kitkat another try, and while it's not bugless...
it seems to be the ONLY post-gingerbread rom that can play videos embedded in webpages.
Still has the camera-trackball bug. (is this bug present only in evervolv-based roms?)
Videocam illusion app works on EVERY rom for video recording.
Kitkat at least has the potential of fixing bugs as it is currently receiving very frequent updates.
So I think j00m's Kitkat is the way to go.

j00m's KitKat is really good. The only reason I switched to Evervolv's was because I wanted to try out ART on my device and that setting had been removed from the j00m's nightly...but ART doesn't work on my phone so they're both good for me. I might go back to j00m at some point since it is simpler to flash (don't need to flash GAPPS on top!) - plus it has a boot animation that has a clear start so I know whether my phone is in a bootloop or simply taking forever to load.

Additionally, j00m's rom is slimmed down to only 211MB system which means it should work perfectly on the ICS hboot - 220/10/206 saving lots of space!
The stock kitkat web browser is barely usable. Chrome browser is even worse. Thankfully, the Dolphin Browser works really well!

I've generally felt VJ's v6.0 4.2.2 was the slickest version of JB that I've used till date on my N1.
I've used PixelDroid, Carbon, PACMan, ParanoidAndoid and Evervolv. But while these ROMs are customizable and have different features, VJ's ROM had the perfect (imho) blend of CM and Vanilla Android which was right for me.
Video recording and Tethering won't work but the rest of the features are pretty cool. As far as KK ROMs are concerned, they are still not as smooth nor as stable as the JBs yet. I've only started playing around with @parkedraccoon's CM 11 and @texasice's 4.4. I expect better updates to follow.

Best ROM? CM12 vs CM11 vs Stock vs Others ROM

Hi, since I get my D4 i'm using CM12, but the perfomance is... very poor.
I'm getting a lot of freezes and low ram free... Sometimes lost calls and, in some situations, my D4 vibrates and the sound appear 2/3 seconds after....
What do you think about CM11?
anyone tries other ROMs?
what is the best ROM?
I think that uses the latest Android vers isn't very important...
I really like CM12 but I want a good stability...
thanks
I didn't get any freeze on CM12 (i used nightly edition)
Ofc. you can use CM11, it still works, but don't upgrade system (it automatically install CM12)

really? maybe the freezes could be caused by Xposed framework or Custom OC Kernel....
but I read other users that had similar issues...
What Nightly vers are you using?
Are you using Xposed or custom kernel?
are you using safe slot?
thanks for your reply!
I don't have now CM12, but I used it week ago on CM12-Overclock kernel
But on "normal" slot (idk how to unpack ramdisk.img (all programs gave error)) and without Xposed

I don't know why but it seems that wifi works better in stock ROM. My wifi signal usually drops while running CM 10.2.1 (stable one) or LiquidSmooth but runs smoothly on stock ROM
