I have to show my X8 phone on a projector and I like audience to see what control I touch. There is a developer setting in Android 4 to show touches. How can I do it in Android 2.3? Is there an app for it? Or any hidden setting for it?

Hi
When ı was using Nokia n8 there is a screen saver app which is very useful when ı locked the screen it shows some animation and time.
In additon to this you can adjust time interval for night and it become more visible that hours so you can use it as a digital clock.
However although I downloaded a number of application for my note. These applications works like aother applications I mean if you close the screen by pressing power button then screen totaly offline. You can only see the digital clock while screen is on.
So I am sure iti is my mistake but if you can show the right setting I can use it.
Thanks
Then wait for ICS to come..

Hi, I'm using slim 4.0, I like the 4 prong app selector lock screen but would like to use, prior to that screen, an actual lock screen like the pattern to make my phone slightly more secure. Is this possible? How?
Thanks much,

It's possible to have the Slim lock screen as well as the pattern. To activate the pattern lock screen, go to Settings and then Security then pick Pattern under the Screen lock section. Then go back to Settings and ASS (Advanced Slim Settings) and pick the Lockscreen options and scroll down near the bottom and check Show lockscreen before unlock.
It will show the Slim screen where you can select one of your four apps, but to launch the app you will need to draw the pattern. I realize that this doesn't exactly answer your question since you wanted the pattern before Slim, but it will still make your phone more secure by requiring the pattern to fully unlock the phone.
Hi guys just wanted to share. For those who have problem in touchscreen digitizer who is hard to press the right side.
of touchscreen while in portrait mode.
Fist step is to download a rom which is base in cyanogenmod 7+ dont know if older updates had this feature.
Flash the rom. After booting.
Go to settings>cyanogenmod settings>tablet tweaks>interface.
Check the option disable fullscreen. Then done.
You can now play any games and no difficulties in pressing buttons.
In messaging just go in landscape mode to easily type letters
"Check the option disable fullscreen"
Do you mean lockscreen?

Disable Fullscreen not the lockscreen.
Disable Fullscreen overrides the request of application to run fullscreen. Statur bar is always visible.
Make sure your status bar is always on top. This solution will work in games that runs in landscape mode.
I don't see such option
Maybe is only me because right now,I'm indeed using cm7 but i don't use latest roms.
It's included in ful-function rom like iXperia 8s.

Hello,
Xperia SP is having huge display but some portion of it may be used by Back/Menu/Running apps button. How to hide it automatically after we use them ? so we could get full screen in gaming, movie etc..
Thanks..
on movies they are auto hiding... only gaming is problem, but i can live with it.,
Use lmt pie controls, found on xda. The controls pop up with a finger touch then disappear once used. Means you have the use of your whole screen.

Is it possible to enable the pull-down bar when on lock screen on the Huawei p20 pro ?
That would allow access to security settings, so would defeat the point of a lock.

He has a point, if you allow to slide down notification on lock screen, you can either glitch or bypass some how to access settings.
So this is why slide down isn't available on lockscreen to avoid this from happening.
Pretty sure stock Android allows this. Useful for toggling quick settings which don't really need security protecting. You would only be able to glitch past the lock screen if it was very poorly implemented.
True it does, but not safe that it does, so Huawei in a way did a good point to remove it on theirs to keep it more secure.
Not really. Every manufacturer allows for the notification shade to be expanded on the lockscreen while the phone is locked.
Only Huawei decided to be smarter and disable it completely. They just broke it. The feature was there on SW ver. 106. v.107 and later don't have it anymore. Along with expanding the notifications on the lockscreen in order to take action. Also something that stock Android as well as every other manufacturer has on their phones, but Huawei.
There is a topic about this in the P20 section of XDA.
I don't like it to be active in lock screen, so I'm really happy the way it is.

There is the slight bonus of a thief not being able to disable GPS and Mobile Data. They'll want to turn on the phone again at some point even if they do just shut it down. Unless it goes straight to being stripped down for parts I guess...
