I am unable to find the required folder on my nook.
Assuming you are rooted, how are you trying to find the folder?

Using Root Explorer I am unable to find the proper folder for this hack.
I can find it no problem on Phiremod 5.1 installed to internal.
What ROM are you running, and is it internal or external?
Where do you struggle (can you see any of the folders)?

As my sig says I am running 0.6.8 NookieFroyo on SD. I don't want to write to the eMMC so I can boot stock or a custom ROM.
I can see the folders but there is no init.d folder in the etc folder. Do you think I can just add it?
Sorry man, I don't see your sig via Tapatalk...
Just adding an init.d folder won't help, unless your system has something looking for it. I'm not sure how the SD roms are built, so you may want to try and contact the dev...

If you just want the boost and don't mind paying then you can always search for "sd card booster" on market
Hi everyone.
So got my XS today really like it however when I put my old SD car in the walkman finds all the music and gallery finds all of the pictures but ES file explorer doesn't see any of the old stuff. Anyone else had this problem? Really don't want to reformat the SD card :-/

Do you see the folders though?
Are you sure you're looking at the EXT-SD card and not the Internal memory.
I use isyncr and have installed it. All my files were in that folder. There is an isyncr folder, but nothing is in it. The file path is /sdcard.
The card was in a rooted S-OFF DHD before. When using file manager on that phone the file path was strange. It said "legacy" seems strange that walkman can see the files.

Found them. Had to enable up to root then select ext card. Does this mean it's added a new partition?

No it always worked like that for me.
Note: You need root access.
As you know, all big games are installed automatically in you internal SD (phone memory), I try a lot of apps (link2sd, etc) but it doesn't work, the solution: use this app developed by an XDA member:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1410262
It's very easy to use, the only trick it's that you have to maintain pressed the path field to browse your phone folders, I recommend that recreate the folder structure of your internal SD in your external SD, copy all the data files and create the binds.
I test this app in stock ICS. and stock JB 4.1.2.
This is too old and bugy
Use foldermount for better result

You could also try link2sd for apps and folder mount for games and data.
Don't think any custom roms are available with this mod yet... Only just started to get custom stock Rom, in time maybe.....

Hello guys
As you know google play store sometimes have a problem called 492 and it says
Impossible to download app xxxxxxxxxxx for an error (492)
It happens on CM7 and sometimes on stock rom
Good
In this guide i will show you how to fix this problem with a simple app called cache fixer
Low cost phone,as you know, haven't a large internal storage and when we download something from playstore its cache go in cache folder of our phone that in our case it is too small and when it is full google play says this error
How to fix
First download cache fixer from here
http://www.mediafire.com/?vdvwxj2c2adaw75
You must have root permissions to use it
Then open it and tick tmpfs then choose move cache
Now if you try to download something from play store you can see that it works perfectly
THE END
hit thanks if i helped you
It costs nothing

Also, this guide is already mentioned on CM7.2/CM9.1 discussion thread. Search before you post!
Thanks!
It doesn't works in every rom. You should add the other methods.

Just open any file browser and open the ' .android_secure ' folder.
It's because the system isn't able to read the folder.
Doing that fixed the problem for me in JellyBread. Might as well work for others.

GMSCore
For me not work. But if I'll install GMSCore manually, all Google based apps will work.

I don't think so. android_secure/"$package_id".asec image is bindmounted to /mnt/asec/"$package_id" folder. I don't know what dependency you see in it. Maybe it repaired bug for you, maybe it have repaired in this time. I don't know.

That's when you actually have the .asec files present in there.
.asec files are created by apps which don't come installed( in system/app/ ) with the rom.
What I'm trying to say is, the android_secure folder is empty after a fresh install of any ROM.
The .asec files would be mounted only when they actually exist in the folder.
I've tried this with 3 CM7 ROMs and worked everytime. So its not a one time coincidence.

I already tried removing .android_secure folder in sdcard, it did work 3/5 times, so you have a high chance that it works but it doesn't work every time. The best method is to flash like my guide so /system, /cache and /data can be formated to EXT4 with no error.

I didn't point to removing the folder
Just open the folder, make sure the system reads it. Lol
