Hi there, i want to update my htc sensation xl to Android jelly bean, however it seems lyk complicated to do, can any developers here please suggest me the reliable and full procedure to update my ics to jelly beans? I have tried starting to unlock the bootloader but stuck on the step 9 saying waiting for devices! Any kind of alternate suggestion will be highly appreciated!

First go to http://www.htcdev.com/ register and unlock your phone bootloader. after first step comeback for next step.

this might be a stupid question but do you have to have JELLY BEAN 4.1 file to be abl;e to load it, or is it in the bootloader already ? if not where can I get JELLY BEAN 4.1. cheers Guys http://forum.xda-developers.com/images/icons/icon12.gif

Hello, i am having htc pico i have updated it to jellybean 4.2.2 from gingerbread 2.3.5 and it successfully running but there are few bugs that i can't receive my calls and any files from bluetooth nor can open internet explorer.
In the device of the person who is trying to call me gets a busy message. and i also can't listen to the music,
so please help me...

Hi all I am a bit of a n00b when it comes to custom roms but I know how to use ODIN and all that but I would like to ask a questions about updating to jelly bean.
I have never rooted my new phone what happens when I flash a russian firmware of official jelly bean (samfirmware) using ODIN on my phone and it fails ? will it never turn on ? or what?.
Can some one also PLEASE tell me all the precaution I should take before flashing thaks

I am a complete novice at this and don't know anything about the various terms used in this forum regarding upgrading. Is there any complete step by step guide that i can follow to install these and upgrade my HTC Incredible S to Jellybean?
I would really be grateful for any advice/guidance that i can get.

The HTC Incredible S is not going to get official Jellybean from HTC. The only way to get Jellybean is through flashing a custom ROM but it will NOT have Sense (unless someone is going to port a jellybean release from HTC with Sense.
I made a guide on how flash custom ROMs and achieving S-OFF which is right in my sig. Just click the link, read once and make sure you understand, then just follow the guide.

true.. HTC will not be officially releasing updates post ICS.. but if you want to install custom Jelly Bean ROMS (there are a plenty), then download the ROMs from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1136463

Hi dude,what you need is CUSTOM ROMs for sure!But few JB ROMs have sense working bugless now,personally I like HTC sense very much so I'm not going to upgrade to JB recently.

hi..i don't think there are any sense ROMs running on JB...can you point me to some such links.. in this dev forum, i haven't found any JB rom running sense...

You are correct, there are no ROMs running Sense and Jellybean for the incredible S. Personally, AOSP is much better and fluid in performance

could someone give me a step by step guide to rooting for the first time on an XL Beats please? Which tools do I need, and what rom to get and so forth. I am a computer geek but never rooted before and would like not to have a paper weight htc after my first try

As far as I remember its an old ROM mate, try to download ROMs from dev section which most of us now using JB ROMs(4.2.2)

firstly have u yet unlocked your bootloader?
Yesterday i have updated my htc one from official 4.1 to official 4.3 ...but i am not haptpy with the rom..
So i want to downgrade my htc one from official 4.3 to official 4.1 ...i am a beginner and i dont know what is odex, ruu...
So i want step by step full procedure to revert back to official 4.1 rom..
Also mine 4.1 rom was rooted but when i updated it to 4.3 the phone lost its root access...in bootloader it was written unlocked only but supersuser was not working...
So i also want to know how to get my root access back and also official sprint 4.1 rom...
