But I thought android must have some integrated call blocking feature??!!So any anybody knows if sony does not use this feature deliberately or android itself does not have this?
It is not a feature android or Sony use.
However devs have seen the benefit and have made apps available.

Facing some problem with network,my phone automatically sent messages, I just got the notification about SMS charges. I also tried with factory reset but problem remains. In others rom there is no such type of problem.

Block the system from accesing internet through the firewall built in. Shin's LeWa does that.
How to do that??

Hi....I had flashed the latest version of philz kernel on my stock jellybean n7000. Following this I have noticed that im not able to send files via wifi direct. I can only receive.
Wifi direct is one feature which I love...pls give some suggestions to get it up and running.
Thanks

As an alternative to WiFi direct I recommend You this app:

It's way better than WiFi direct

talking about wi-fi direct alternatives, i would like to ask here for more wi-fi direct alternatives as i am on PA, also should the other person also have same app to be able to transfer through that app? or is that i can use this app and other person can still receive it via wi-fi direct?
Yes, the other person has to have this app installed.
But trust me it's worth of it.
The app works like this: receiver makes an WiFi access point (app does that automatically) and the other phone just connects.
Some other apps :
WiFi file sender
Hoccer (maybe spelled wrong)
Bump.
But as far anyshare is the best
Try it

Nah, I don't think so. Only original wifi direct can connect. I haven't seen any other app to send via WIFI direct.
Just send Your friend (or whoever You want to send files) anyshare and You're ready to go.
While I'm sending from my note to sgs2 the transfer is ~1.3MB/s and it's much easier in use. Wifi direct sometimes has problems with connecting, custom ROMs don't support it well. That's why I have used WIFI direct like 6 times in my life.
Just give it a try
Never knew of these apps...do they work on other phones as well? Thanks ! Will give them a try :beer:

Yes, they work on other Android phones. Idk what the minimum required version is but I think it's 2.3+

He's misinformed. It doesn't have that feature.
I use the pro version (paid) of this app. It works very well.
I did try the free version first but quickly went pro.
Try an app called Mr.number it blocks the calls and sms also. Change the blocking options to send to voice mail and u won't even know they called. It's a free app and does the job perfectly

no ... no root required..i am using this past 4 years..... jst install and enjoy.... in options set it not to notify blocked call or sms...thats all.... u can manually check the log..and it hides entries from loag too...that too free....
I believe you can go to a contact in the phonebook app and then tick the option to make the call go directly to voicemail!
Enjoy .

hi all,
Just wanted to know if anyone know how to use YaNC pro for filtering group notification from whatsapp..i want to receive individual whatsapp message only exclude the group notification.
Or anyone know or recommend any other apps that can do that..
thanks
Sent from my SM-N9005 using xda premium
I'm using Notification Center to filter out what notifications is coming to the Pebble. In the app that you install on the android you can filter out keywords, for example I'm filtering out Gamegroup which is an whatsappgroup I'm in.
previously im using the same notification app same as you,but for me,it doesnt seem to work well..how do you add the filtering for the group name?i got 7 group chat that i want to filter, but,it seem that it is not working.
Sent from my SM-N9005 using xda premium
already got the solution for this and thanks for the app developer support..now its working.
just to share
if anyone want to filter the group notification, just add it in the exclude filter like below
^groupname
^.*@ groupname
both must be key in inside the exclude filter and set the work mode to BOTH..

You could also use WhatsApp+ instead and disable all group notifications. This however, also means you won't receive them in Android untill you get an individual message.

Hoo, having trouble with ppi called and can't for the life of me work out how to block them calling again...surely it's possible on the z3+ without using extra apps our workarounds

how about save the number, and set the contact to 'all calls to voicemail'.
Thought about that but I shouldn't have to do that in this day and age! Thanks looks my only option
