Hi, I have broken nexus 7 (dropped) with working battery. I bought new nexus 7 few months ago. I also bought leather case. I took battery out of my old nexus and it's slim enought to fit inside case without any notecible bumps. I wonder how could I connect it to my new nexus to get that extra battery life. I assume usb port would be just fine, but what about charging? Any ideas are wellcome. Also I know my way around soldering gun.

I assume that black wires are negative (ground), red are positive. And white with yellow should be data to inform device on battery stats/charging etc.

I could get micro usb connector and solder wires to apropriate pins. But I don't know about data pins. How could I charge it? And how I would know if it's charged. Is that board soldered with battery capable telling me if battery is charged with added led diode or something.

So after googling for a while I found out that white and yellow wires should be data/trehmal. Don't know wich is wich yet. And don't know how to read it. I pressume I should create extra board for reading battery charge and adding basic led indicator for charging/charged information.

Ok so my phone is playing up abit. When i put the charger in it disconnects and connects constantly. Its fine if you dont touch the phone but as soon as you touch the screen it starts disconnecting again. I put this down to a faulty charger dock and ordered the part so i can fit it. However after fitting the new dock the problem still persists. Ive changed wires, plugs, charger flex and charger port. What could this possibly be?

That link is in french, can you explain a little bit what it says. I have same problem as OP but I bought 4 different USB Flex replacemments and they all dont work. No sound from speaker except for a little popping sound. I think something in the link talked about the back of them being grounded or glued, can you explain it a little please?
So I'm having the issue where the battery isn't charging. Left it to charge for a couple of hours. Came back, still no charge. Read on a different android forum that someone pop the back cover, pulled the plug and reconnected the battery.
Well as I did that, I noticed that one of the wires from the pin connector to the battery is broken off from the battery itself (see below)
Just got this as of today. So what do I do? Return it to amazon?
This is the picture if it didn't post previously.
Send it back, thats the easiest way.

Send it back (and don't say you removed the back).

Thanks guys. Already put it in for a return with amazon. Hopefully I get one that isn't broken.
Has anyone else had this problem? I have two Vivids, and I'm replacing charge ports about once a month...any ideas?

I have noticed that some phones seem to kill charge wires... At least that's my experience...
To test... Plug in the wire... And the GENTLY push the wire/plug towards the back of the phone... If the charge light turns on... Blame the wire

By wire you mean the actual USB cable? I have at least half a dozen cables and when the port fails it starts by getting picky and only working with certain ones, but with in a day or two it won't work with any of them. I replace the charge port and it works fine again for a couple weeks...

I have to make sure I don't move my cable after I plug it in to the wall, or else it will stop charging. Also, when my vivid died at my friends house, we tried a cable for a rezound and a few others, but they didn't work... the original cable will charge my phone. Just my two cents.
Hi, sorry I'm only just getting the hang of the app.
When my Z1 is plugged in, the micro USB feels quite loose inside the port.
I can easily wriggle it around, it does not feel as secure as the lightning port felt in my iPhone 5.
Could I please get some options on this? Is this normal or is mine starting to break?
I do handle the phone a lot while it is plugged in and the port is definitely in an awkward position once it's plugged in...

I don't have problems with USB port but I ordered magnetic charger cable because I will go crazy if I continue with opening those water protection caps every evening just to charge my device.
So... to save and preserve your port I would recommend that cable.
It cost almost nothing on ebay 5-10$ only

Can I just bump this up? Ideally, I would like as many people as possible, nearly all of us own z1's, to just feel how their charging cables sit inside the port when the USB cable is plugged in,
Does it wriggle round a bit? Does it feel very secure?
Mine is somewhat loose in the port and I'd like to know if this is normal or if mine is breaking....

Nope mine is secure and not wiggly.

Thanks
How annoying for me... And for all of us, because I've had my phone 7 weeks and thought it started off firm...
But it's now loose and that is purely from handling the phone while plugged in. It's on a weird location the port... Awkward.
I got an idea it's not very well fitted... It may be just a one off tho,,,

mine too, i guess because using the phone while pluggined. better use magnetic charging
i might have use my micro USB port less than 15 times, most the time its on magnetic cable and its not loose.
Can anyone who has a charging cradle take a pic and show the pinout of the 5v+ & - pins. I lost my charger and need to charge the watch till a new cradle comes in since it's back ordered.

Forum Search would have gave you this thread: Search gear pins:
Read through that thread, this is what we were doing before the replacement became available.
Good luck!
Thank you tried good first couldn't find the tread.
