[APP] Volume+ - Ringing tone too soft? Get this!

Hi all,
I have been always been using ways and means to turn up the volume on my DHD until I came across this app which will really TURN IT UP!.
Highly recommended to those who finds that their ringtone and notification abit too soft. App is now free at the author website but is paid app at the market. So grab them while it is still free! heheh

Been using this for about 2 weeks and yes it definitely works. When you move ROMs and loose the app its immediately obvious what a difference it makes.

I can't install it via CWM 3.x.x.x. on LeeDroid V.3.0.1GB..it say "Installation aborted"..any ideas??

How to decrease bass level (it's only +0db in settings, but no "-db")????

It's not working with RCmix 6.1.0.1
I am using DSP Manager and put the treble fields to maximum to boost the ringtones, now I can hear them lol
But I think the speaker can handle an extra boost before distortions

ARHD 5.1 with MDJ's Gingerbread V10 kernel works well, makes a difference for sure.

Only partial luck here - Running CyanogenMod 7.0.3
The app itself works just fine, and clearly boosts the speaker volume for all applications - except the one I want - the ringer. When comparing the ringtone selected in settings to the actual ringtone when the phone is ringing, the ringtone itself is noticeably quieter than the boosted sound.
I got around this relatively easily, though. All my ringtones are mp3s managed with ringdroid. I transferred the mp3s to the computer, used the freeware program audacity to increase them to the same gain level as the volume app would boost them too, and then set them up as normal. The result is that they're all normalised and effective, and the volume app itself still boosts the sound for everything else.

tried it twice now, once as a direct download to phone and the other via laptop and cable, no sucess

Late notification alarm on CM 10.2 (4.3 android)

Guys a 2 week ago i had install the nightly CM 10.2...ok is not stable i found many problems on some apps and menu settings...But i have and a serious problem for me...when come a notification from facebook or anything else and i use the phone(browsing...etc) notification comes on status bar and after 5-6 seconds comes sound of notification!!! what can i do? except to go on 10.1!!!

nothing. it's really annoying and if you're watching YouTube or listening to music it screws everything up. go back to cm10.1 is the best option

i tested something and worked a bit. when i set cpu usage at max and perfomance governor, the notification sound latency is almost zero. But this drains battery of course and is not considered a solution. its really annoying.

The important question here is... "Why does this happen?"
I mean, is the issue so serious that no one has been able to pinpoint the cause and code a resolution? It seems strange that the problem is barely mentioned and has not been attempted to be fixed.

Facebook and sms have it whats app doesnt that much i can tell you.I think it have aomething t do with vibration and sound when they are set both.Will test and report.

also, i noticed only certain apps are causing the notification delay. the system(unplug/plug in charger0, facebook. while some others worked fine(whatsapp doesn't cause any delay, at all). we should list down all the events and apps that causes the delay together with a logcat if possible to track down the real problem.

Also i noticed that sometimes sound behave like i set it to ascedin ringtone...Dont know why but it behave tht way.BTW anyone know how to improve sound loudness in SlimBean ? I am not deff but ringtone sound is too quite for me even on max volume.

Has anyone tried using viper fx?
I use that sound mod and never had this issue, if notification arrives while using phone it doesn't play any sound
(which imho is better than delayed sound etc)
Don't use xhifi which has big compatibility issues try just viperFx and see if that works for you

Yep that happends to me also.If i am using phne notifications dont have sound.Can i download viperFx from googleplay and install or not ?

[Q] ? CyanogenMod 11.0 or DModV6 ?

hey guys,
so i'm currently on DModV6 and am wondering if there are benefits of switching to CyanogenMod 11.0 ?
Although DModV6 greatly improved gaming lag on my device, it still exists So my question is does CyanogenMod 11.0 completely remove gaming (and other) lags on my galaxy s3 mini ? Thanks in advance for sharing your experience with these two custom roms Cheers

Hi @koragg97. I suggest you to try CM 11.0. You'll gain a lot of benefits if you're into games. Last week I missed the in-out indicator of data connenection on Samsung stock ROM, so I searched the forum and found DModV6 which is a ROM based on stock. I decided to flash it. After I used it for an hour, tried many HD games and apps, it gave me lags in games and entering to apps is a little slow than CM 11.0 so I had to go back to CM 11.0. Anyway CM 11.0 is not stable yet, you might face some problem like black screen in some camera apps, wierd sound in Twitter when pulling down to refresh and the light on touch key won't go off when it's got notifications while the screen is off. However it gives a very good experience for playing games rather than DModV6 because I don't get any lags while playing games. Try it yourself to know more

oh forgot to ask one very important thing for me. Will installing my default FM Radio app on CyanogenMod 11.0 work. I really like to listen to radio while not at home (and yes original radio, not on 3g)

Don't think so.. I think the kernel doesn't have radio option and for disabling the softkeys on notifications there is an app called BLN Control

First enjoy the s4 touchwiz experience with Dmod and sooner u will get bored like me because of samsungs heay bloatware and u will eventually in cm11.0

Yes, it works. But you have to install an app called Spirit FM. Once you've installed it, to make it work you have to go to Settings/Audio/Method and there choose Galaxy S3/Note/S2_ICS. Good luck!

The ROM doesn't come with a built-in offline radio. Don't worry, you can install Spirit FM

Well, all the CM and AOSP roms don't have the same picture/video quality as stock 4.1.2.
Contrast, levels, sharpness, color balance, white point, it's all off in certain light conditions. Video is perfectly fine, but only under well lit scenes, when you don't have as good light, the camera apps don't boost the brightness/levels to make the scene visible, unlike stock 4.1.2. Let me be very clear: if you're taking pictures or video in clear sunlight, then it's not much of a problem. It's when you leave the sunlight that stock 4.1.2 is easily superior in picture quality compared to the other roms. Again, nothing that can't be fixed if you're handy with photoshop or other decent image editing tools. Just a little more work to get nice pictures off the bat.
I think once CM and AOSP roms' bugs are ironed out (since we have sources and devs can have a look at how it's done, not using the leaked code for legal reasons), another point of work could be porting whatever camera processing stock 4.1.2 does back into the camera files of these roms.
Of course I'm just a user and not a developer and my post may come across as a request.. I'd say it's constructive criticism, for the future. For those who don't use their phone much as an imaging device, it's not that big of an issue, the performance increase of these roms is worth it. Again, nothing that some photoshop can't fix, nothing that some premiere editing can't fix either.

1.The option isn't there.
2.In CM 11 even when checking that,the photos still come unfocused while de flash isn't on.I tried touch to focus,everything,and the final photo still isn't focused with the stock app.Good that the Moto X camera does it right for now.

Tips
-First boot requres a lot of time
-MTP - to make MTP working, go to Settings, Developer options, disable USB debugging, re-enable it again, tap ok from the message
-Torch works only with CyanogenMod's app

some app fails to install
I am having trouble while installing some apps, installation fails with a message 'Couldn't install on USB storage or SD card'.
It happens only for few apps (example: XDA app).
I tried to install the app after unmounting SD card as suggested in a thread, but it also failed.
Anyone got any suggestion.

Not that problem here. Try to flash again the rom making all wipes. See the first post in original development.

I have done all wipes before installing the zip.Give it a second try and its still the same.

Bugs found so far:
1. Can't move apps to SD card (clean install).
2. No gesture typing in keyboard.
3. Home screen settings button beside widgets button, when pressed nothing happens.
Anyone having these issues

I've skimmed through the 50 pages so forgive me if I've missed it, but is anyone else having an issue with rotation? Auto rotation is on but the screen will not flip to landscape at all.

What launcher are you using? Some launcher requires "rotation" being turned on in their settings.

It's the Google now launcher. There are desperate setting for rotation in the display settings and it is also turned on there at all degrees and also on in the quick settings menu as well.

Are you on the 12-17 build? It has a known issue with the gyroscope. Update to 12-18. Your problem should be solved.

I too had this issue on the 12-17. Flashed the 12-18 and auto rotate is fixed as well as a few more bugs.

Has anyone else been having an issue with BT Audio automatically increasing/limiting/cracking whenever a fade is supposed to occur?
I've noticed this in both the built in Music app and Poweramp (have to disable crossfade entirely) - whenever the media volume fades - be it to the next track or temporarily lowering for a notification sound - as it fades back up to the normal volume it keeps going - causing it to limit out and create startling and generally unpleasant noises. Pressing either volume key resets it back to the standard volume, but I'd rather not have to adjust the volume every time my phone makes a noise outside of music. I'll try flashing the latest build and see if that helps, but it's really obnoxious.
If it helps, it happened both with the stock audio drivers and with Viper4Android.

how to install liquidsmooth ?
I have the sprint n6. I am unlocked and rooted. The phone is decrypted. I have twrp for recovery. Everytime i try to flash this through twrp, it errors out. Do i have to sideload this? Ive tried looking through the board but didnt see anything. Thanks in advance for the help

Try using the latest Banks Gapps (Google them if needed..) and of the error returns be sure to wipe the apps data/cache then also reboot to recovery to wipe both cache and dalvik cache.
That *should* sort it...

Anyone have viper audio working? Driver installed everything shows normal, but processing always says no. It used to work. SELinux permissive.
