And if you can get into download mode, your phone is not bricked...just soft bricked. Flash a stock firmware...

Easiest way is
If you are able to get into download mode
1. Flash Stock ROM with PC odin
2. get root N install ICS base custom ROM
3.Use triangle away to reset counter
4 Back to Stock ROM

Hi dude here is the message angelom sent to me its got the link to the Kernel Enjoy
So here is the link kernel that reset counter and remove yellow triangle:
http://www.mediafire.com/?5bmrc6cf81w5mya
Of course this is what I tried last night and it was fine (flashed over 10 times)
instructions:
It 'a tar file, then flashed it with Odin Pc
You need to have ICS, so if you tried to install GB with odin, you have to flash the Chinese leak ICS (always with odin)
Even if you flash the rom from error, after trying to install, always installs with odin the kernel, it usually also with your problem is successful.
Just you see that phone reboot (just odin gives you the message that the flash of the kernel has been successful) disconnect the usb cable and press once the keys to enter the recovery mode (Vol + + home + power) and keep them pressed until do not see the recovery.
You'll still have the yellow triangle.
When did you get into recovery (still touch CWM) touch on reboot
So, even if eventually the Rom should not start it for the problem of partitions, you'll see that the triangle is gone and the counter is reset.
Of course you do so at your own risk, given my experience after what has happened, I emphasize.

Hi, My note is stuck at boot screen after the official OTA update. I tried googling but most seems to pertain to Rooted/flashed phones.
Mine is a new note which has not been rooted at all in the past. I downloaded to OTA update and it has been stuck at the bootscreen for the past few hours.
Any help appreciated!
1. Try pulling out the battery for a few minutes.
2. Boot into recovery mode and wipe cache and dalvik cache.
should i also wipe the data/factory reset in recovery mode?
No. God forbid, then you might end up with a superbrick
Thanks for your help

Keep them pressed for 3 seconds more then you end up to recovery. They need to be pressed while booting the device from reboot or off state, then you will end up in recovery or download mode.

Yesterday, I received an OTA on my galaxy note and now it is also stuck in boot screen with the breathing samsung logo.
I tried to go into recovery mode using the 3 button combo, but it wouldnt enter into recovery mode. I get the green android logo with wire mesh and the phone reboots.
Can someone help me to boot my phone?
Got mine backup and running after OTA update gave me Samsung logo freeze issue
So after the 7MB OTA stability patch mine too was stuck on samsung logo.
Kies wouldn't recover it and putting into download mode or recovery mode didn't help. I too tried to go into recovery mode using the 3 button combo, but it wouldnt enter into recovery mode. I get the green android logo with wire mesh and the phone reboots but i didn't at the time try for 3 more seconds.
I then used ODIN and applied a downloaded Aussie Gingerbread ROM as i couldn't find Aussie ICS ROM. With my plan to do a Kies/wifi update to ICS. This caused acore and other processes to crash every few seconds. I then did a factory reset which got it stable and then tried to update to ICS but the phone said there were no updates available. Then I applied the international ICS using ODIN so i'm back were i was two days ago before the stupid 7MB patch.
Unfortunately, I don't think i can get anymore OTA updates but after the 7MB one i don't think i want to.
Long story short i think you should be able to go into recovery mode do a factory reset and it should be OK.

Also, now I am considering going for warranty repair... didnt want to do that at first as i have a really bad experience with HTC service centers... now lets see what samsung does..!!
Same problem here please find a fix!!

You don't need root to flash stock with PC Odin, and flashing any stock does not affect warranty. To use Odin you need phone in download mode (vol down, home and power until reboot into download)

Just flash it using the same os version you already have installed in my case I had the same problem with this little ota update and I've just flash it with the same ics version that was installed and my phone was back with all my stuff and rooted... once you finish doing the re flash you'll get an on screen message saying "Fail to update try using samsung kies on your computer" or something like that...
Thanks... but I went for warranty repair .. and I got it back in 2 hours..... unfortunately I lost all my data .. even on external partition. Now it is on ICS and still I have a notification for available update ... which I wont do.
Anyone has had success with that update?

Hi.
I have a Galaxy S+ I9001. I had cranyum rom installed on it. One day it just restarted and after it got stuck in bootloop.
It onlyshows SAMSUNG logo, and then restarts and so on...
I can't get into recovery using 3 button combo, but I can get into download mode.
The problem is that it appears to write ok with Odin Multi downloader 4.43, but when it gets to the reboot part, the phone just power off and gets to the same bootloop. If I disconnect the usb cable, it shows a vertical battery icon, then black screen, again battery icon, and so on... Tryed with a different battery witch was charged to 100% before flashing because I tought that it was running low on battery, but the result was the same.
Tryed many different firmware and same behavior.
Is it possible to be a hardware problem?
Any suggestions?
Thanks.
try to flash clockworkmod then flash anther rom >>>> it worked for me in same issue like you have !

It does't matter what I try to fash to the phone via Odin. It says thet the flash was successful, and goes to the same bootloop.
Tryed flashing different roms, feamod recovery, clockworkmod, bootloader. Nothing changes.
So flash full rom wit pit and then root it again then do what ever u like

The problem is that it's a Galaxy S Plus - I9001. I can't flash it with PIT file. That's only for Galaxy S - I9000.
Does the pit file works for Galaxy S+ also? All that I found with pit file was for Galaxy S.
I can flash mine with AriesOPS, but that doesn't do the trick. Same bootloop after flashing.

First remove battery and press power for a min, remove sim card and ext SD card and than reinsert battery and go into download mode Download the CWM 6.0 recovery, link on My Android Collections below and try to get recovery First, than go into recovery , In recovery WIPE (wipe data/factory reset + wipe cache partition + format /system) enter advanced and wipe dalvik cache too than flash the ROM
I allready tried to do that. It flashes ok with odin multi downloader 4.43, but when it goes to restart, the phone gets back in the loop, and I can't get it to recovery via vol up+power (with or without usb connected). It just gets to the same boot loop in witch displays just the SAMSUNG logo for about one second, the restarts, and so on.

No, its not bricked, the solution may lie in the technique , have you tried these http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1660596 , :victory:BUT First it may wise IF used another PC or Lap top, just to be sure and also download a Broodplank ROM to flash

The problem it's that in the link that you provided, I must have access to recovery witch I do not have.
Or to use ADB, witch is possible if the phone goes after the Samsung logo at startup, but mine restarts exactly after the logo without going further.

Have you tried holding the button combo a little longer? Don't get this the wrong way, from my experience I know that getting to recovery on i9001 can be a little pain in the a$$ and I really don't know why. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.
Hey everyone. I looked around the forums for a situation similar to mine, and didn't find a case exactly the same as mine, though it's possible I missed something. Basically, my little sister said her captivate was randomly shutting down lately, so I decided to root it for her. I rooted my own HTC Inspire this summer with no problems, so I figured I should be able to do it. The root went just fine, but when I tried to get into 3 button recovery mode, it wasn't working. I had read some stuff (obviously not well enough) and read somewhere to install the speedmod kernel. Now I'm stuck in a boot loop and can't get off of the Galaxy S/SGH-I897/SAMSUNG screen. I tried to go into download mode, but now I can't get into that mode either. Any ideas? I read on the forums about making a JIG, and I might have to end up doing that, but if I can avoid it, I'd like to. Thanks in advance.
Depending on what stock rom u were on before that flash of the speedmod kernel, it may not boot ur phone, because i believe it was froyo based. And if u got it from TRusselo's Guide thread it was there just so u could use it to reboot into cwm recovery and flash a dev rom. Have u tried holding both volume up and down & power buttons together until u see the at&t screen and then releasing the buttons ?? That should boot u into cwm. And from there u can flash a dev rom.
Download mode is--phone off, hold volume down, insert micro usb end of cable into phone, having already opened Odin or Heimdall and usb end of cable already connected to pc. Or of course, jig will do the trick for ya.
U could also try flashin an appropriate kernel for ur firmware u r on --- stock or dev'd. But u will need to still get into download or recovery for that. But i would think u should be able to boot up with no probs with a correct kernel.

I did manage to get it into download mode. I had the usb cord already connected to the phone when I was holding Volume-, so that was the problem with that. Buuuut, I can't get into CWM at all. Holding Volume+ and Volume- plus the power button loads it directly into the Samsung logo screen, then reboots the phone. Maybe I need to reinstall CWM?

I already went ahead and did that, and it's loading back to the regular start screen. Now I'm just trying to get CM10 on there for her, but according to their installation instructions, I need to be able to get into CWM recovery using the 3 button combo, which is where I'm currently stuck. According to one guide I'm reading right now, installing the corn kernel should fix the problem.

Yeah, still can't get into recovery. I turn off the phone, hold both volume buttons and the power button, but then it just stays at and keeps reloading the samsung loading screen (which now says i9000 instead of sgh-i897 like it did before). If I let go of the power button while on this screen, it progresses through the 3G/ATT screen and finally turns on the phone. Not sure what I need to do now. More research apparently.

Getting in recovery can be tricky with the button combo. you could use ROM manager to get in recovery if you did flash Corn.

Well, I assumed it was the I897 one since the guide I had been using was for that version of the captivate, but I'm going to redownload one so I can be sure. The model number under phone info says "SAMSUNG-SGH-I897" and the kernel version is the "Cornv706" version.
Also, couldn't get into recovery with ROM manager either; it just got stuck at the Samsung screen.

Hi,
I rooted my note some weeks ago and I was searching the web, reading all kind of threads and thinking what the problem might be for the last weeks. Finally I decided to register myself on xda and to post my problem.
Like mentioned before I rooted my note via CMW and then flashed a franco kernel, unfortunally I dont know which version, but no custom rom. It all worked fine for 14 maybe 16 hours, then the phone froze after opening a app and after that it stuck at the Galaxy Note N7000 logo. I tried to enter recovery but it didn't work, I can enter downloadmode but I ran out of battery before I could do anything.
Now the phone keeps turning itself on and off the whole time when I try to charge it, the battery image comes for like 1 second and after that the screen turns black again. The battery itself is new so that shouldnt be the problem. I charged it like that for like 4 hours and then tried to enter downloadmode but it only says "battery to low to download".
I hope it is not a hardware problem. If anybody has a idea please help me, I am getting desperate.

Found it. Should I use a rom with three parts or with only one? And can I use any rom or one with a special "code" that suits my device, e.g. german....
And just flash the rom and then fullwipe or is wiping not necessary?
I am sorry for the questions but I want to do everything right.
You can use any. Wipe in GB recovery.
Thanks a lot.
Yesterday I finally found somebody to charge my battery, today I flashed a GB stock rom, but I still can`t get any further than the Samsung Galaxy Note logo... It worked one time but I turned the phone off to insert my sim card and it got stuck again.
I tried flashing with pit file and bootloader as well, but no luck.
Could it be a hardware problem? Could a J-tag repair fix it?
Thanks in advantage.

Thanks in advantage.

Now your on safe GB rom, enter recovery wipe cache, factory reset, wipe dalvick cache.
Let's know the result
I tried, but I am not able to enter recovery... I press volume up + home + power but I only get the N7000 logo. I have read that you have to press the home button in the right moment to enter stock recovery, could somebody tell if that is true and if yes when do I have to press?
Anyone an idea please? I can enter download mode but not recovery, I downgraded to gb 2.3.6.KK5, I flashed abyss 4.2 but I can get to recovery mode or past the GT N7000 logo. Three times it got to the "package installing" page and one time it even started then I switched it off to insert my sim card and again stuck at the N7000 logo.
I need help please...

You have to press the three button combo "a long time" and the power button should be the last one to use.
I always wait until the Samsung Logo appeared 2 times and I see the next animation (depends on your kernel/recovery).
So please try again and hold the three buttons longer.
I flashed the 3-part lc1 gb and did a full wipe. The phone now starts sometimes but gets stuck at the n7000 logo most of the time. When it starts the whole UI feels very laggy, eg. while typing. Recovery mode started one time out of 1000 tries. I am afraid that something with my hardware is wrong. Any ideas? Could a Jtag be a solution? Please help.
try again to get into recovery and do a factory reset from Gb recovery..
press it until you get to recovery. DO NOT remove your fingers when you see n7000 bootlogo. keep pressing . keep pressing. keep pressing.

I made it in the recovery, did another fullwipe, but it still lags while typing or opening/closing an app and still does not boot proper, I have to try several times to get past the logo screen and it works only when I go in downloadmode and boot from there. Entering the recoverymode still only works randomly. Any idea?
Edit: it also lags while scrolling down/up

In all you posts here you never wrote exactly what version of which Rom you installed in whatever way.
That's why I'm still not convinced that you have "defined state" and giving good advice is try&error.
So please start telling: how did you flash, what GB or ICS or JB version, Stock Rom or Custom Rom.
,Sorry, I flashed the n7000xxlc1 - open europe with odin PC, stock, prerooted and in 3 parts. After that I did a fullwipe, the phone turns on after a few tries, most time after I go in download mode and restart from there. It lags while it is on, like short freezes, I tried to install the OTA update to ICS but failed.
Before that I was stuck on the Samsung Galaxy Note logo after flashing a franco kernel via CWM (I am not sure which version but it came with the guide to root, so I thought it could not be bad)
Edit: I flashed the xxlsc 4.1.2 jelly bean offical leak via odin PC, and I still have the same problems. I takes 5-6 reboots to actually start the device and it is very laggy, almost unusable. Every second or so it freezes for short time.
Any help please? I would send it to someone to do a JTAG repair if this could help. I just dont want to waste the money, so if anyone has experienced a problem like this please help me.
Is this a brick revived phone?
