Lastest nightly CM 10.2 - little size of file - LG Optimus 4X HD

Is that good that latest nightly has only 171 MB? Does it works good? I want to go back to 10.2 again.
Thanks

Yes because Focal has been removed from CM Repos.

Cannot update to any new CM nightlies

Hi all,
Im running CM nightly 05252011 and im using latest rom manager an cwm. When trying to upgrade to any of the latest nightlies, cwm fails because of a bad update file.
I have cleaned the rom manager cache before downloading and even copied the file to sd card from pc. Still the same problem...
Tips to get it working would be much appreciated.
Tia,
Daniel

from pc, do you verify the md5sum of the nightly?
when you say nightly 05252011, you probably meant nightly 86 or 87.
Thanks for the reply!
Yeah, its 86 or 87. I will do a md5 checksum on the pc file...

[Cyanogenmod7][Rom] Nightly#146

I reuploaded the online not available Nightly#146. This nightly seamed to be the most stable, responsive, bugless and fast nightly. You can flash Tiamat or Enki with it.
Its NOT a ICS or JB Rom. Its Gingerbread.
If you want Google Apps, flash the added Google Apps package
You dont need Blackrose. If you're S-On, flash the boot.img inside the Rom.zip via Fastboot with the command:
Code:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
DO NOT: Post to the bug tracker
DO NOT: Open another thread (Please)
DO NOT: Think of this as official forum support; this thread will be strictly user to user support. Don't expect CM-dev help.
Code:
** These CyanogenMod builds are highly experimental and unsupported.
**
** Please refrain from submitting bug reports for any issues
** you may encounter while running one of these builds.
**
** Submitting bug reports on nightly builds is the leading
** cause of male impotence.
INSTRUCTIONS:
- First time flashing CM 7 to your Incredible S (or coming from another ROM)?
1. Root your device and install Clockwork Recovery.
2. Do a Nandroid backup!
3. WIPE (wipe data/factory reset + wipe cache partition)
5. Install the ROM
6. Optionally install the Google Addon
Please visit the CyanogenMod Wiki for step-by-step installation walkthroughs and tons of other useful information.
Thank you to EVERYONE involved in helping with testing, coding, debugging and documenting! Enjoy!

It is not *perfect* but it is better imo than on AOSP ICS.
Try a different kernel, that may help. But I found that in low-lowish light the camera had a REALLY low framerate.
The explanation is that the phone is trying to capture as much light as possible, while sacrificing framerate

Yep, also on paranoid android, sense lite and others.

Mhm, maybe you can find a backlight fix on xda... Have you auto brightness toggled on?

If i touch the brightness or switch from auto it comes on, but never preeminently

CM10 almost really stable

Hey dudes. Heres what im currently using..
Im on cylons rom here.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1939801
V0.9h version, no screen flicker. Auto brightness works. No chipmunk voice. And
leds mAh lowered so less consumption
Thanks for this mr. Cylon!
I installed ics camera ported for cm10
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2091599
camera.omap3.so overwritten by the one from our official ics. And replaced other libs. Which i think isnt necessary.
And flashed 4cyl turbo engine which can be seen from here :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2237987
Thanks exit_only!!
There are still bugs like black screen when calling. But what the hell. Heres some battery life screenies the 3hr47mins screen on time. I got 12 hrs batt life which was all day texting and wifi on everytime screen is awake.
Now heres a video sample uploaded straight to youtube.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tQCHVc97oUg&feature=youtube_gdata_player
Note that this is on lowlight.
If mods find this inappropriate delete the thread but i just want everyone to know, how cm10 is much more stable. Imagine with a modded kernel and fixing bugs which are fixed in cm10.1 . This will be true jellybean.

No need to. Only clear CM10.
Great! But...
Hello Sir,
thank you for sharing, but i have one question:
Which libs did you replaced? Cause i replaced just the camera.omap3.so, and now i cant connect to the camera.
Thanx in advance, regards.

I prefer the darkmod cause it has the led lights dimmed. Cm10's leds are on full brightness which is so bright

Pimp my ROM should have a fix for you... in the GPS settings you can optimize it for your country.
Do you have the newest version? Can you upload it somewhere? Because I cannot download proper zip from original thread - i've already asked there but without response yet.

No bro. The recent updates were just for gps improvements, but also merged with cm10's changes. I havent tried it. Ill take a look at my comp later. Maybe i downloaded it too.

This is really interesting. Have you thought of creating a Rom with your changes included? A jellybean Rom with working video camera for our OB would be a definite hit!

Xperia V on CM 10.1.3 RC2, no location info to apps.

So, I installed CM 10.1.3 RC2 a couple of days ago.
All OK besides apps cannot get location information or thinks it the same location everytime.
It worked once, the first time an app got location, but now it's stuck on that first one.
Ideas?

Quoting myself.
I still have this problem.
What I have discovered:
Apps/A-GPS can download location if i'm on WIFI or 2G (EDGE).
But in 3G/4G all apps only reverts to the hardcoded location after ~10 seconds.
If on Wifi or 2G apps/A-GPS can download directly and getting correct info.

I'll try that!
I downloaded GPS Status and now A-GPS works ok after resetting and so on.
I'll try to flash latest Gapps, but I think I have the latest already.
EDIT:
Got the 20131024, but according to http://goo.im/gapps and http://www.teamandroid.com/gapps/ 20130813 is the latest.
Well, I'll backup and flash 20130813

Why would you want to be on 10.1.3 RC2? That is a release candidate not the stable release.
10.1.3 (note no RC) is the last stable release.
Get it here: http://download.cyanogenmod.org/get/jenkins/42563/cm-10.1.3-tsubasa.zip
It requires this Android 4.1 Gapps: http://goo.im/gapps/gapps-jb-20130812-signed.zip
Boot to recovery and install them both.
No need to wipe anything.
Though actually, I'm pretty sure that you'd be happier on 10.2.0: http://download.cyanogenmod.org/get/jenkins/49891/cm-10.2.0-tsubasa.zip
Android 4.2 requires this version of gapps: http://goo.im/gapps/gapps-jb-20130813-signed.zip
Same instructions as above, install them both via recovery. No need to wipe anything.

[Q] Best way to go from CM 10.2 to CM 11 Nook HD

I see that CM 11 nightly is available for the Nook HD and was wondering what the best way would be to go with 11 from CM 10.2, also do I need to upgrade the Google Apps? I am sure I do, but where can I find it at?
I will be doing a backup in case I need to revert back to 10.2 for sure
Thanks for any help you can provide me in making the change.

You need to need to go to verygreen's CM11 thread for instructions. The old CWM versions will not work. Look in the dev forum.
