Hi all,
Im running CM nightly 05252011 and im using latest rom manager an cwm. When trying to upgrade to any of the latest nightlies, cwm fails because of a bad update file.
I have cleaned the rom manager cache before downloading and even copied the file to sd card from pc. Still the same problem...
Tips to get it working would be much appreciated.
Tia,
Daniel

from pc, do you verify the md5sum of the nightly?
when you say nightly 05252011, you probably meant nightly 86 or 87.
Thanks for the reply!
Yeah, its 86 or 87. I will do a md5 checksum on the pc file...

Once make sure that the zip is fully downloaded, if possible check md5 checksum of the zip
Did you try to update through CM updater ?
Check this:

Install another Recovery. It should be version 5.x.x.x. and if you use touch currently, try to use non touch version.

I have a CM9 nightly from May 2012 and finally decided to update. I know I need to use acme uninstaller, then acmeinstaller3, but do I need to do anything new with clockwork mod (v5.0.2.6) or moboot (unknown version)?
Thanks.

Here is the latest CMW http://goo.im/devs/jcsullins/cmtouchpad/recovery/update-CWM6_tenderloin-20121215.zip
And here is the latest moboot http://goo.im/devs/jcsullins/cmtouchpad/testing/moboot_038-tenderloin.zip

Hope this helps .

Here's the link for jcsullins cwm 6.0.1.9 : http://goo.im/devs/jcsullins/cmtouchpad/recovery
Use the 12/15 one.
Here's the link for moboot (also jcsullins) : http://goo.im/devs/jcsullins/cmtouchpad/testing
I use 0.38 and it works fine for me.
Edit : make a backup, just in case.........

Hello.
I have been noticed that a new version has been released so I wanted to update. But it was not possible. Cwm says that the ZIP file is not signed. Can anyone else report this error too?
I am currently using cwm 5.0.2.8 [ I think so ] and Avatar Rom 2.8b
I tried to install with cm updater and also manually. Both report same error.
Thanks for reply

Which boot loader are you using?
If you look at the original thread...you can see a few screen shots by troco my friend for the latest version released...
This means you are doing a few wrong steps maybe....just do a clean wipe, download the correct ROM version for your boot loader and flash
Hope this helps

Thanks for your answer.
I´m on the old bootloader.
I downloaded the 2.10 version through cm updater. After downloading I tryed to install it through the cm updater and with doing a wipe cache and wipe dalvik manually in CWM.
Because it is a update I don´t need to do a full wipe. Or am I wrong?
I updated every version since the earliest version.
Failed from latest cm10.2, anyone got the same problem?

Yes because it gets downloaded to the wrong folder. Do not have it install it automatically. Boot to recovery and look in internal memory 0/cyandelta.

What do you mean you checked the file?
You need to download the file, then boot to recovery, install zip from internal memory and look in /0/cyandelta and flash it.

It is exactly like cyandelta does it. It takes the Delta file and makes a whole new rom in that location. So when it flashes, it is just like you downloaded a complete ROM. It is a dirty flash so all your apps and settings remain.
But you have to complete everything in the cyandelta menu except the last step which is booting to recovery and flashing the newly updated ROM zip. You do that manually.

That's mean cyandelta only fresh new rom without wipe ??

It means that file in that folder is just like you had downloaded it directly from CM. No need to wipe.

Is that good that latest nightly has only 171 MB? Does it works good? I want to go back to 10.2 again.
Thanks
