Hi Guys,
Just joined here but been on this site a number of times for my old phone for how to's!
I hope someone can help.
My brand new Xperia T keeps crashing mid phone call if the call is longer than a few minutes. I repaired the handset to no avail and got a second one. Same thing happens and I drop a business call!!!
On the Sony Forum it seems others are having this issue and it seems to be due to a bug with the wifi and the screen locking: www . talk.sonymobile.com/thread/55404?tstart=0
However nobody seems to have a solution. I was wondering if you guys are experiencing this ?
I am not happy with it and it seems stuck with it!
Wow. That is an extremely weird issue which no one so far has reported. You could try and flash the updated Sony release. Its in another forum section I think.

As it's your first post this is just a gentle reminder to please post questions in the correct Q&A forum. I've moved your thread as you will have been informed but please post appropriately in future.
Thanks

Sorry I did realise my misake after posting.
Anyway I installed Cyanogenmod on my old desire by unlocking the bootloader > installing Clockworkmod > installing the new rom
Am I right in reading elsewhere that you also have to flash the kernel and download superuser??? Was complicated enough..

Its in the 3rd post of the first thread in the Q&A section.
Its the All in one thread, where everything you ever need is there!
Hey all,
I rooted my xperia T using the official Sony method and then flashed a new kernel + custom rom. However I've decided that I don't like the phone and a friend has offered to buy it from me. I'd like to return the phone to the stock kernel and stock rom. Can anyone give me some pointers on how to do this as I pretty much fumbled my way through the flashing the first time around!
Cheers
Search for flashtool version 0.9.9.0 and download.
Download .ftf file of the firmware you want to flash and place it in flashtool firmware folder.
Start flashtool.exe and follow instructions. Leave all boxes ticked (wipe dalvik, user data, baseband etc)
Will that get rid of everything including returning me to the normal Sony and Xperia boot screen sequence? At the moment I've got FreeXperia and ParanoidAndroid.

Yes, but the bootloader may still be locked as not all ftf's relock the bootloader, I'm sure I saw an ftf in the development section which did that though.

No need to say noob question. The fact you posted a question in the gfeneral section explains that.
But the advice given is correct, just flash your original ftf. You should have made one if you read the All in one thread properly before you started messign with your phone. If you didnt, just choose one fromt he list inthe all in one thread then repair using pc companion.
Thanks, I just flashed back to what I thought was an unbranded rom, but it turned out to have '3 network' customisations.
Last night I found a thread that had a massive list of Xperia T Stock roms/kernels etc but I cant find it now despite searching for over an hour. Can someone point me in the direction of the thread, or maybe a completely generic UK rom with no network branding or dev customisations?

Read the very first thread in the Q&A section. All your answers are there. And no need to start several threads about the same issue and hijack many other threads. Ask for help in the thread I have suggested.
Xperia Z Help ThreadHello everyone, welcome!

I'm after some help with my CPU settings. I'm running stock android 4.1.2 on a C6603. Build is 253.
I've got Rom Toolbox Lite and it has settings to tweak the kernel and CPU settings. I'm after some help as to what settings are the best when I want a decent combination of speed (I'm heavy on the ole Internet and gaming) and lasting battery life.
Any help or links would be much appreciated.
I am rooted but a noob at messing around with it.

To be honest, I have never used ROM Toolbox.
Infact for such apps, most "tweaks" give you a negligible performance benefit.
The only way to truly get a performance benefit is to play around with settings till you reach an optimum.
If you are truly after good kernel tweaks, take a look at Trickster Mod.
For battery savings, I recommend the use of Greenify.

If you are coming from an AMOLED display, then you might find that the Z's display is a bit under saturated.
But actually, the display is quite precise. There is nothing "wrong" with it.
All problems with viewing angles were solved in the subsequent updates.

First, I want to thank you for bringing this to the Sony Xperia Z forum as this would help alot of new and old XDA members. Its an great idea the QnA section is indeed a mess and I do understand that most moderators are busy with other things as well, this would definitely save them alot of time.
Second, You've got my support
mirroring
I can not mirror my Xperia Z with my LG TV, I recently installed the cyanogenmod and mirroring worked, but with the stock roms, does not work, can someone help?
I've recently rooted my Z with Doomlord's Easy rooting toolkit (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2327472). The root was successful and I had verified root access. But whenever I try to change system files like adding boot animation, editing fonts or even just simply change system files to RW, my phone will automatically force reboot itself. Please help!!!
Firmware:10.1.1A.1.253

I'm using .423 but already tried with .434 and .253, but it's the same thing, I seek the tv, he thinks, and then the time to connect, it just disconnects before the image appears on TV, the strange thing is that in cyanogem worked perfectly.
Hi, since .423 update I got problem with background data. Restricting it for a period of time then removing it by tapping from notification or setting doesn't really remove the restrictions. Accessing play store gets pop up notification to enabled background data. Problem solved by reboot. Anyone experience this and know how to fix this? Thanks in advance. Sorry for bad english.

Hi,
my xperia t rooted stock rom ends with .140 is tuck in a bootloop.
i shows my home screen for about 5 seconds and then poof, reboot.
this started after uninstalling the installed ''beats audio installer pro''
i used the beats function until i found out my bluethooth sound didn't work anymore
then i deinstaled beats using the installer, and now my device is bootlooping.
(sorry if my english is bad)
EDIT
solved using flashtool.net and downloading one of thier roms,
WARNING: flashtool needs to have the drivers instaled wich wouldn't work on windows 8
i had to use another computer wich has windows 7 and it worked
thanks to the ones who replied here, be sure to check out more about them.

Okay, so apparently the problem is in PureXZ. I wouldn't get my hopes up when it comes to getting it fixed. The dev has been successfully ignoring my reports about it. Time to move to a different ROM.
Sent from my eXposed C6603
"It doesn't work. Fix it!" is not the proper way to report a bug and is probably the reason why you're not getting an answer. That sort of "report" is becoming all too common around here. At the very minimum, you should always provide logs when reporting bugs in a development thread.
Also, just FYI, no dev here is under any obligation to fix anything or even acknowledge you at all. They share their work here because they want to and do it for free.
Sent from my C6603 using Tapatalk
First you ask if anyone else has got the same problem. I did, everyone ignored until I spotted one other guy with the same problem. The whole thread is spammed with questions like "how do I flash this ROM?", and each one of them gets an answer. But when I ask one legit question, I get completely ignored. Why would I then be bothered to get and clean up my log cat when I'm not getting one single sign that dev is willing to help me? Makes no sense.
No dev is obliged. But then again, what's the point in sharing your modifications on XDA forum if you're not willing to give support for it?
//End of off topic chitchat.
I will flash Pandemic's ROM to see if the problem persists.
Sent from my eXposed C6603
If the developer doesn't have the problem, then it cannot be fixed without logs.
You should fully explain the problem, provide logs and leave it at that.
No need to be complaining here that you didn't receive personal support.

He sent me a PM. He doesn't actually know what he did or even what he changed, so it was more luck than judgement, it seems.
No disrespect intended and I wouldn't normally say anything, but he did PM me and asked me to modify the zip for him as he didn't know what he did, so I think it responsible of me to let potential users of the zip know.
Personally, I wouldn't flash anything that contains both su and busybox binaries unless it was from a trusted source.

Thanks for sharing bro, but there are way too many superfluous files in that zip. I would actually like to know WHY it works :cyclops:
He doesn't know. That's why half of the /system directory is in the zip.
I assume he randomly copied files from Criskelo rom until it started working, as he said screen mirroring worked on that rom earlier.
Sent from my C6603 using Tapatalk
Yeah, kudos to him for making the effort, but afaik, screen mirroring can only be achieved on stock/stock-based rom with LB and DRM keys intact. Let's see what other devs have to say....
Edit: My phone is out of warranty and I like having my bootloader unlocked for developmental purposes.

DRM keys are erased when unlocking the bootloader, disabling some features.
Sent from my C6603 using Tapatalk
I know this is off topic but I'm really interested in what you said. I know things like Bravia engine stop working, but screen mirroring is basically miracast. It wouldn't make any sense if unlocking bootloader broke it. It's nothing Sony-branded. It would be practically like they denied you the use of Phone or Messaging apps. BE doesn't affect user that much, if at all, but this would mean a (in a away) crucial part of phone software gets broken. Something that all modern phones, branded or not, have the ability to perform. If it really is like you said, then once again Sony prove that they don't give rat's ass about consumers of their products.
