Maybe you solved this problem but for everyone else facing this issue
You can enter download mode with USB JIG (dunno what jtag is ,,,)

Can you access either Download mode (Vol down + Home + Power) or Recovery Mode (Vol up + Home + Power)?
If Download Mode is still accessible, I would recommend to flash CWM via heimdall.
- There is a good post already on xda for that: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2345310
- But make sure to grab the latest heimdall binaries first: https://bitbucket.org/benjamin_dobell/heimdall/downloads
- CWM for the S3 Mini: http://download2.clockworkmod.com/recoveries/recovery-clockwork-6.0.2.7-golden.img
Btw, it's not necessary to root the device for this!

So i decided to start using my p1000 again after not using it for a while since i got my note. I decided to update to ICS from overcome. I did the usual wipes and installed through CWM. Seemed to go ok until i went for reboot. Now its dead. Itll get to messed up boot screen if i leave it plugged in but i cant get recovery or download. Anyone any ideas or should i scrap it?
Thanks

doesn't look like completely dead.
Maybe you can try OneClick Unbrick?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1153310
One click didnt work
Im getting the yellow COM box and "added" when i plug it in to odin but it hangs on "setting up connection" when i try to flash anything

Just now another guy ask about this SetupConnection too.
I read somewhere that when it says that, try unplug the USB then plug back.
Sent from my GT-P1000 using xda app-developers app
That doesnt work, it just says removed-failed. Is there a jig or something to force download like there is with the note?
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda premium
I heard you can make one.
Anyway for the Odin issue, have you try different sub port?
Also try to reinstall the USB driver.

If you are having problem while "setup connection" in Odin, and hence fail to flash the firmware, change the USB port. The com box should say 37.

Don't bin it...
in your picture, that's always normal for cyanogenmod... it just shows low battery and couldn't boot.. it will show battery level then that picture.. don't try to flash anything for it will cause your device to be on the pc-caution screen..
just charge your tab extensively and you will be able to flash it again.. that's what happened to mine before... :good:
I had charged the battery and it was showing full when i flashed cynanogen. Made some progress though. Managed to get it in to download mode and flash the pit file which then gave me the pc-download screen. Then i flashed the stock safe from overcome and that seems to be ok. Will try with something else when i get home at the weekend

Hey guys,
Today i bought the SGS 1 from a friend just for flashing and fooling around a bit (i am not a developer i just enjoy flashing and trying different ROMs and also beeing able to give feedback )
So my primary phone is a htc vision (desire z) and there i only flash with CMW
after some reading i rooted the SGS via z4root.apk cus he still was/is on 2.2
No problem with that, now i have superuser, all good and nice, then i googled what recovery app i can use on samsung devices, and it turned out that i can use my beloved CMW. after 2min i had it installed and the recovery thing flashed and now i wanted to reboot into recovery mode and here is where i have my problem.
I can't choose a zip file
After searching here on xda a bit i couln't find any similar problem so i started this thread
My CMW looks like this:
{

"lightbox_next": "Next",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
The phone specs are:
Firmware-Version: 2.2
Kernel-Version: 2.6.32.9 [email protected] #1
Buildnumber: FROYO.XWJPA
I hope someone could help me

//EDIT: so i did some research and some trial and error
And it all comes down to one main problem:
My pc wont recognise the sgs, neither as a mount of sdcard (usb debugging) nor with kies or odin
Any idea why? I tried two different cables and still nothing works
Kinda despair here :/
Odp: Flashingproblems with CMW
If you have installed drivers, try different usb ports.

Tried it and didn't work :/
My PC doesnt recognise it, also when on debugging (as said) but it somehow recognises that some usb device is connected (the icon for safe-remove on the right bottom pops up)
Could it be that i only got the usb cable from my htc, cus the original usb cable is still at my friend's place.
Greets Vauvenal7
Could fix it
Reason why it wasnt recognized was because it was rooted
Opend the z4root app again, did unroot it and booom, it was recognized

First format your system using CWM mounts and storage-->format /system
Then make all wips
Then try to flash full stock 2.3.3 ROM with pit file from Odin

Try heimdall instead
So, it's stuck on this screen:

I cannot get into Download Mode. It won't connect to Kies. Won't leave this screen. I'm assuming it's bricked. I'd love to be wrong and someone could tell me something can be done aside from a JTAG.
That is also a download mode.
Use Odin to flash a stock rom.
You can try the method in my signature.

Well, I flashed it and now it's stuck on, what seems like, an infinite loop of the Samsung logo...
Maybe there was another problem that cause that failure in the first place.

I can get into the normal Download Mode now. Does that help me at all? lol
Have you ever heard of this "loop" before?
Anyone have any idea how I can get past this infinite Samsung loop now? I can get in download mode but I guess I need something different to flash? Surely someone has encountered this?
You could try to proceed with the overcome instruction. And use it to flash, say Omnirom
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2634278
Download Omnirom and it's recommended gapps and superSU
Use odin to flash overcome kernel 4.0 tar
Once you have it successfully installed, just immediately power off the tab (instead of letting the kernel do its file system conversion).
Then boot to cwm recovery and flash Omnirom zip.
Then flash gapps.
Then flash superSU.
See if that gets you anywhere.

OK! I finally found a ROM that works. Got it back up to 4.2.2 where I left off. Now I'm stuck with the original problem. It should be in a new thread...
I have a Galaxy Tab GT P1000 which had Stock Android 2.2 Froyo , i wanted to update to near recent version but despite getting the usb drivers from other XDA posts the usb was not recognized by the OS which was Windows 8.
The usb was only recognized when the Tab was booted in to OS but when it was in recovery mode or download mode so i couldnt connect it to odin to flash roms
i tried the method of downloading mobile Odin pro from Google play , i got the tar from xda, selected it and wiped the dalvik cache and reboot in normal mode and then flashed it the below is the result i got
now i cant get to recovery mode or connect usb to pc i can only access download mode

You use download mode with odin.
Recovery mode in stock recovery isn't useful at all.
Try use overcome method and see if you can restock.
But since you were in froyo, have you ever checked if you have a locked bootloader? There is a chance of that.

please help me as i have some important data which has no backup in the tab
