In order to flash this ROM please make sure you have the following:
Nerves of Steel
Root
TWRP 2.6.3.2
A Current Backup
A clear knowledge of how to go back to stock
Disclaimer: Though I have flashed this ROM on my own device with no issues, and it has been beta tested there is no guarantee that yours will behave the same way. It is possible to hard brick your phone while flashing custom ROMs, and I take no responsibility if this happens to you. Please be aware that this is the first public release of this ROM, and has only been tested on a handful of devices. Further, this a ROM made for the Verizon G2 variant, and flashing it on any other version could be disastrous. Proceed at your own risk.
Installation steps:
1. Boot the phone into the TWRP recovery using ADB.
2. Choose "Wipe", then use the slider to start a system restore. This will take 5-10 minutes. (This step should be optional, but I have not tested it without wiping /data, feel free to test, but expect problems and be pleasantly surprised if they don't occur.)
3. Back out to the main menu.
4. Choose "Install"
5. Select "Blackhole_G2_Stock_1.0.zip" from your internal memory.
6. Confirm by using the slider. This will take 5-15 minutes, possibly longer. Do not attempt to reboot your phone or cancel the flash in any way.
7. Choose "Reboot System"
Please E-mail me or post here with any feedback, suggestions, and especially problems you have with the Rom.
Features:
Built on Stock Rooted base by scrosler
Zipaligned
Odexed, since this phone is a pain to deodex and no one has done it yet...
Stripped of almost everything but the bare essentials. As a rule, anything you can get from the play store is gone. Most LG apps are gone. All Verizon apps except mobile hotspot are gone. See screenshot.
Includes the Mobile Hotspot with provisioning removed for free tethering (thanks to WACOMalt for posting)
This ROM is a Clean Rom that is just the first step toward the final goal of an Aroma based installer that will allow you to build your own ROM with whatever features and mods you want. Since no Clean ROM is available yet I thought I'd release just the base for the people who want something lightweight and stable to flash.
KNOW ISSUES:
- If you wipe data when you install (and I suggest you do) you will get an error when you click through the setup wizard, but just continue and you'll be able to complete it.
- In some cases it may ask you to install the Google Play Services, go ahead and do so.
- The Qvoice has been removed, but the shortcut when you drag up and to the left from home is still there for now. It simply does nothing.
- The Help app is included only to disable the annoying popups. All other features of the help app except the icon glossary will cause the app to crash.
Download:
Version 1.0
Missing app installers:
(Coming soon) Copy these to your internal memory and flash via TWRP to restore stock apps that have been removed. Please post if there's something you need back and can't wait for the final version to have it.
Quick Remote
Stock Email
Qvoice
(These will become links as I put the packages together and get them uploaded)
Thanks:
scrosler for the Stock Rooted ROM I used as the base
WACOMalt for posting the modified Mobile Hotspot
Matt (drkow19), heffzilla, triskropf97, and sgtmedeiros for beta testing
Blackhole Universal Installer
I put together a package that will let you easily create your own flashable packages for the Verizon LG G2. All you have to do is grab any apps you are missing and want to add back from the Stock Rooted ROM provided by scrosler. Open the .zip on your computer using 7zip or your archive manager of choice. Place all the .apk and .odex files you want to flash to your phone in the /system/app folder inside the zip file. you can rename this whatever you want. Anyone can feel free to use this to package any mods/apps/themes as well, just create the appropriate folders under the /system folder like /framework or /media.

AWESOME! Cant wait to try. When you say LG apps are removed, are you removing functionality like knock-on? Or just things like quick remote/Qslide?
Nice job. Good to see this. Will try later. Thanks.

All the LG features, gestures and functionality are left in. Knock-on, Quickwindow, Quickmemo, Qslide, Slide-aside, etc. all work as intended. The LG apps is the stuff like notebook, quick translate, quick remote, email, qvoice etc. Stuff you can get better versions of from the market, or that not everyone uses. In the final rom I'll have them all available to add back, but for now I tried to make it as clean as possible without affecting any of the extra features that LG provides. And if I've removed something that a majority of people want back it can always be added in the next version.
Thanks for this, I remember you from my Fascinate days!

It needed to be. OG droid ROMs used to be no more than 200MB, now were looking at 10 - 15 times that and it's just crazy. Who wants to download and copy a 2 gig file to their phone? But with Aroma that's what it will end up being. I'd so much rather use Rom Manager like on the fascinate, so you only download what you want, but then you're downloading over a gig straight to the phone. Oh well.

Not sure if you want requests or not, but do you plan on adding features like:
- Black/Transparent nav and status bar
- Removal of location icon
- Remove AM/PM - Do you know if this one is possible?
- AOSP status bar icons
I am on the other VZW rooted rom in the same section of XDA this rom is in with TWRP recovery. I am not on the latest TWRP recovery. After I get on the latest recovery, do I wipe factory reset, clear caches and flash like it was with the GNex? I just really do not want to have to worry about bootlooping and such. This looks like the rom I am looking for.....thanks, I appreciate any helpful responses..
That's a good question. It is the stock ROM essentially

yes, those features are intended to be an optional part of the final product. I just wanted to release something people could flash for an easy debloat now. Since this is a stock based rom built off the OTA, any mods that work with the OTA should work with this ROM, I just haven't tested them yet. I am not much of a modder, but I intend to add available mods to the Aroma installer for the final ROM, with permission of the creator of course.

Once you have flashed the latest version of TWRP, I do recommend wiping data and cache. This should notbe necessary, but I haven't done enough testing to say for sure. If you have opened and used apps on stock that have been removed in the ROM, it's difficult to say what dependencies they may have created. If you are concerned about getting a bootloop, then wipe. If you are prepared to restore to stock with the link in the OP, then go ahead and don't wipe and hope for the best. Again, it should work, but I haven't had anyone test it yet.
And ultimately, if you're on the latest version of TWRP, I believe they fixed the issues with booting into recovery with the hardware buttons, so if you do get caught in a bootloop you should be able to enter TWRP and restore a backup. Someone please correct me if I misunderstood this, "2.6.3.2 removes /misc from the recovery.fstab which prevents factory reset when you use the key combo to enter recovery."

Is the LG filesystem any different from the filesystem on the Gnex?
If not, Ive had great success using the Android Revolution SuperWipe script before flashing a ROM. I add it as the first zip in the queue on TWRP and it handles wiping all of the caches/data/system
If I know for sure it will work on the G2 Id be happy to provide a dropbox link.
Works great but it force closed on the initial install when i tried to do the email part and the stock email app is not there otherwise so far so good
Glad to see it posted! Still running great for me, thanks again!

You can find the Droid X bootstrap app in the market. Just download it and run, then select boot into recovery, scroll down to Mount & Storage, mount system, apply zip. This is all assuming your already rooted.

Rom manager doesn't work on my droid for some reason. It reboots the phone but nothing else. My phone is rooted. I don't know if I should buy this and it doesn't work
But thank you for explaining what to do very helpful
Rom Manager and the Bootstrap tool are two seperate utilities. Search under koush to find it if your having trouble. You don't need rom manager in order to install roms.

Hey
I downloaded it. I hit bootstrap recovery and then the second link. It rebooted and got to the "green screen". I went to back up and restore and hit it. Now my screen is black. Did I messed up my phone, is it normal and takes a while, or can I just pull out the battery and start fresh??
EDIT: Forget it got it, it was empty, I just hit the power button and it went back to normal....
Actually I'm supposed to hit the camera button not the home button, I just saw that :/

You are definitely NOT breaking any rules.
The leak is just that, a leak of a Verizon test ROM, or perhaps Moto, but leaked software nonetheless.
It is not anyones original work other that Google, Verizon, Moto.
If it was a ROM Developers personally modded tweaked themed built ROM, then it would be inappropriate.
I feel that leaks should always be given to the community for free if someone gets ahold of one, its better for the community.
Anyways...I have installed and works fine...no significant changes from. 13 I have seen.
Cheers!

The market speed on this leak SUCKS. If you're happy with what you have, stay there. You gain absolutely NOTHING from updating to this.
If you want, I can make you a build.prop that says your running 2.3.15 and it'd be the same thing. You'd never notice.

I had a similar issuing going from the first leak to the second. What I did is simply restored the original market that I had backed up via Titanium backup. I suspect just clearing the cache and resetting defaults will have the same result.

No, I tried everything. Clearing cache/data did nothing. I did a checkin, a *228, and replaced build.props, everything. Only thing i didnt do was restoring a market from Titanium. Glad it worked for you, but I really dont notice a difference or see any need whatsoever to make this "upgrade".
Look at the thread on MyDroidWorld.com about it lol It seems more like a bug reporting thread than a "thanks for the good work" thread.
Thanks venc.

I'm a newbie here, my 1st post so unable to post in the ForceROM thread. I have very little experience. On my last phone Photon 4G I only rooted so I could use the Wifi Tether app. The ForceROM is absolutely perfect for my needs, even in its 1st version. The included mods 4in1 restart menu and the Hotspot Mod are extremely useful! I have been rocking this ROM for the last 2 days without any issues! I love that it keeps the functionality of TW (I actually like TW and its notifications and menu bar with quick access to settings used everyday) and the S4 while removing all the unwanted Bloatware. I was easily able to follow the instructions given in the OUDHS thread to flash recovery via Odin then root via OUDHS recovery followed by flashing the ForceRom zip via recovery. There were only a few apps I wanted to install for which Unknownforce provided download links for all apps removed from Stock, which I was able to install via the system/apps directory. Great work here! You guys are great. Thanks!

Yeah when you flash new roms, you will most likely ALWAYS wipe Data, Cache, Delvik Cache [In this order] then flash ROM, Gapps, ect
Once I have flashed the rom I wipe data and cache again just because im used to doing that but I doubt you have to, reboot and you should be good

I've been using the ForceROM 1.0 for a while now and really like it too. When I first rooted the stock rom, I tried to get rid of a lot of bloat and some of it I couldn't. So I was glad to see it already done using ForceROM.
The only problem I have is the voicemail. It always says it's trying to verify my account but it never can. Anyone else having this issue?

Well this didn't seem to work. When I open the voicemail app, it sits there about 1 minute then finally gives me this error:
Communication with the Voicemail-to-Text server has timed out. We will continue to verify your Voicemail-to-Text account status in the background.
Voicemail service will not be interrupted while we verify the account status.
Also, when I check for updates in voicemail app, it errors out saying "General failure. Please try again at a later time."
Maybe I will try clearing cache and dalvik cache.
call sprint =) im not sure if u have to be subscribed to it or not
id wipe and reflash your setup ive never had a prob with the voicemail program its either something to do with your rom setup or its sprint
Several Qs
1) how do you pick a rom? Theres so many and i cant tell how theyre different
2) ive ran cf auto root, so im rooted. Is that all i need to be able to add a rom?

4) i heard there are certain things on the screen that will increase burn in chamces, how do i fix that?

6) i read a lot of roms are in beta, meaning theres updates. Im new to all this and rather not have to update a lot/re do the rom process. How do i keep updating to the minimal?
7) im a bit overwhelemed by the xda forums, and im not really sure how to procede in adding a rom to my nexus. With the cf auto root they had a how to video so i managed that, otherwise im totally lost as ive never done any of this before.
1. You pick what ROM suits what you like best. There are many choices out there but some popular ones include Liquid Smooth, Bliss Pop, and Rastapop.
2. You need to install a custom recovery I.e. install TWRP in order to flash a custom ROM. There is info about doing this on the Original Android Development section.
3. It's included in almost every custom ROM's kernel. You can add this without a ROM by flashing a kernel (Elemental X, Lean Kernel, Franco Kernel etc..) Most custom ROMs have a kernel that goes with them enabling this.
4. It hasn't been ported over yet and may not be so you can't get it on the Nexus 6 currently.
5. No ROM has added thus yet, but I'm sure its in the works. Paranoid Android and Omni ROM had this for KitKat so its only s matter of time before we get it in lollipop.
6. You don't need to update the ROM nightly if it has an update but if you have a bug it's recommended to flash the new one. It comes with the territory for most of the ROMs and it's really easy to flash the updates. You could wait for the official stable build or deal with the possibility of flashing updates.
7. There are many guides in the General section for the Nexus 6 that can guide you through the process of flashing a custom ROM.

1, try out a few yourself, pick the one that suits your needs the best.
2. you do not have to have root to flash any rom or kernel. you do have to have an unlocked bootloader with a custom recovery.
3. you dont.
4. if it happens, then it happens. the only right answer.
5. google was working on multi windows, if for the nexus 6 i dont know. besides for that, you can not add it.
6. all roms add updates, some are tiny, some are larger. all you have to do is download the rom and update it via your recovery. takes about 5 minutes.
7. its all up to you to read about the rom, or do other research. no one here on xda will hold your hand while you learn. its all up to you.

I haven't used that ROM so I couldn't tell you first hand.
So i found this to get twrp.
http://nexus5.wonderhowto.com/how-to/install-custom-recovery-nexus-6-0158768/
Once its installed will that make the recovery? The article menisons a Nandroid backup tho, what is that?
Edit found
" First and foremost, when using custom recovery to install various hacks, you should always have a backup handy in case things were to go awry. This is called a nandroid—"NAND" as in flash memory, and "droid" as in Android.
TWRP has made this process about as simple as it gets. From the home screen, simply tap Backup to begin. From here, leave all the options ticked just as they are, and swipe the slider at the bottom to create your backup.
The Ultimate Guide to Using TWRP: The Only Custom Recovery You'll Ever Need
The Ultimate Guide to Using TWRP: The Only Custom Recovery You'll Ever Need
This will create a set of image files that function as a snapshot of your device's current setup. If you ever need to restore this backup, every tiny little aspect of your device will be recreated as if nothing ever changed.
Because nandroids are snapshots of everything, they can take up quite a bit of storage on your device. For this reason, you may want to consider copying the file over to your computer via USB cable—they will be in your TWRP/Backup folder."
So instal twrp, make a nandroi, copy it to my pc. Then i can flash a ROM?

i always keep one nandroid backup in my phones storage. that way, if i need to restore it, its always around. many times you cant get to your computer until later or many times your access to your computer will not work as well. so keeping it in your storage is very wise.

the rom always gets flashed first. if not, it will overwrite everything you flashed before it. so flash rom first, then anything else in whatever order.

You don't need to flash the kernel, I believe the last few builds have included the latest Franco kernel.

No, should show up either way. Make sure you're using the USB cable that came with the nexus 6. I know my old S4 cable doesn't work for some reason.
It also won't show up as a separate drive in windows, it shows up as a "connected device" or something along those lines. I can't remember exactly as I'm not at my PC.
Also, make sure you're mounted as a media device. There should be a notification to toggle it when you plug the phone in. I think you can also toggle it from settings > storage and the three dots in top right. Again, can't remember exactly as I'm not at my PC.

you can copy either or. but you will have to put it back in the exact same place for it to work again on the phone. in the twrp folder, in backups, in the same folder. as i said, i dont keep backups on my computer(but have once in the past).
Well I flashed it and forgot the gapps so I'll try that when I get a chance.
Idk if it was normal or a bug, the boot animation for liquid smooth seemed to loop? I pressed my power button for a few seconds and the screen turned off. When I woke it up again it was just at my home screen
Here's an early preview of Marshmallow for most of us. This will work on ANY S2. So may I present to you for your flashing pleasure....

Install instructions for the "Maker"
Must have root and TWRP installed
Just Flash over any existing ROM (L or M, New and Old S2's - Don't do ANY wipes
Read This post and This post , And another novel if you have any issues.
Possible bugs
5g wifi above 40 doesn't work. But you still have 5g wifi
xposed- just not a fan. It affects performance
Restores from anything - not a fan of Tb either. It creates issues also.

Take the app/apps you want to add from the zip and place it in the correct "Add_apps_flashable" folder Then flash in TWRP. These will all work correctly as long as the app has all the extra apps needed. It'll be your job to figure out what's needed.

I need boot.img for any other S2's that want init.d support. Pulled from the .tar or from TWRP. As long as it's boot.???, it'll work. So don't worry about the extension.
I need some feedback on this also. Especially if you HAVE NOT Odin'd M yet. M Is so new that I"m still trying to figure it out.
Make sure you read the OP and post #2. As I will not help you if you didn't follow directions posted. At least until I get a stable base.
This should not be a request or anything.
I just wanted to ask of there are any possibilities for a t715 version as it is already available and the "for now" in op left me thinking.

Possibly? I'm gonna try and get all the roms together if I can. But the different markets may make that too difficult and time consuming.
The nice thing is we ALL seem to be getting 6.0.1. Finally all of us on the same Android.
I need to find out some things first, as my attempt at the 815 hasn't been working. That might be in my end. Give me some time.

Yes I have, but a did a FULL WIPE, it must not remain after that. I tried again with just a factory reset after flash my PB1 nandroid backup. NADA. Bootloop again. I checked MD5 checksum of the file and they match again what a android file host says. I'm going to do again, this time, formating DATA besides the full backup. I will keep you posted.
UPDATE: No luck. Even formating DATA. Bootloop.

Apparently this ROM is based on the UK version, so am I correct in assuming that 5g wifi doesn't work?
@JekyllInside @Broncos15 since you are the only 2 I know of with issues installing this out of 21 DL's so far, here's what I need you to do/follow:
1. Make sure your TWRP is 3.0.0.2 - the most current.
2. Remove your ext sd card, and put the ROM on int sd so you can install it.
3. In TWRP, select "Wipe", "Advanced", and select /cache, /data, /system, and /dalvic
4. Install the ROM
If it bootloops, gets stuck, what ever, then boot back into TWRP
Flash this kernel 1st. https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24533100289590241
if it still hangsup, boot back into TWRP
Flash this kernel 2nd. https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24533100289590242
Let me know how it goes, and/or which kernel worked for you so I can add it to post #2 for others to use.

I wasn't complaining, just asking. 5g is a necessity for me, so there is no point in even trying the ROM if it doesn't work.

I would just like to share an enhanced version of stock note 4 with the only "foreign" app being the grace InCallUI mainly because I have yet to locate a guide on how to make all the buttons layout correctly and there is also very minor cosmetic changes (removed words from lock screen and extended the drop-down panel to go all the way across the screen). Yes, the firmware includes everything except recovery and aboot. Also a few things I forgot to mention, the switch to turn on volume up for flashlight is in the display settings and to set the apps for toolbox you just long press on the toolbox icon (when activated) and then drag it up to the edit section at the top of the screen. Sorry guys I'm terrible at writing the info and summary for these roms but hopefully I can get it figured out one day.

I understand. Please clarify for me...
I'm on pj2 unlocked/rooted. I want to stay unlocked/rooted. Do I flash the "partial".zip, or Odin the "full" ? :fingers-crossed:
When I read through hsbdr's post's, I must have 5 or six tabs open
I prefer instructions simple, and retail and Dev posts/instructions separate from each other. As well as return to "unrooted" or "keep root" posts. Many have accidentally locked their BL as a result. There is no reason to include a "return to stock-locked" link in with a custom rooted ROM post/links. Uhg
Thank you for keeping it simple for us, and all your work!

Yeah it does get a little confusing. That's the main reason I just posted my own link just to make sure I'm not linking to the wrong thing. Fun fact while testing all this out, I was able to flash pj2 roms while I was on the cpl1 firmware and everything worked. I just tested one rom but it seems like once you upgrade your firmware you may not have to downgrade again if you want to go back to another rom.

The first couple times I tested a firmware that I made, I was terrified of locking my bl. I flashed the one I posted and then tested for downgrade and all is good, but it doesn't seem to be necessary to downgrade again. As far as differences between them the only thing I noticed was more security stuff and some different bloatware.
Forgive me...
So the "full firmware link" (download file name: "cpl1_tar_32bit_ext4") doesn't include the recovery and aboot files(?)

That's correct. If you flash it and let it boot you'll have your custom recovery, unlocked bootloader, no root, no busybox, cpl1 modem/kernel, and odexed system. That way if someone wants pure stock they can just flash the supersu file and your set.

Honestly, I only use that app when testing it and I haven't noticed any battery drain, but I can't say I've ever checked either. I wonder if it just needs to settle in. Maybe someone that uses it more can chime in to see if it's an issue for everyone. If you want to, see if after a while it goes back to normal range and if it doesn't try to get a log and we can see what we can come up with.

If Odin completed it should have at least updated your firmware. If that's the case you could just go ahead and flash the rom. All the files from the full firmware get overwritten anyway. Just make sure you do a complete wipe (everything but your sd/Ext sd) and you should be good to go.

@kevintm78...thank you for this. I had lost 4g somewhere in all my flashing. I tried reflashing partial firmware and even restoring backups wouldnt give me 4g again.I was getting ready to go through the entire lock, unlock, root process again when I found this thread. I downloaded the full firmware in the op, flashed with flashfire, rebooted into recovery, wiped dalvik, data, cache, and rebooted system. I now have 4g back. I made a nandroid of stock, and then clean flashed LOS and still have 4g. So thankful to you!!
