Did u restore mx player from a backup or did a fresh install from play store... I had this issue when i was restoring MX player using titanium backup....then i uninstalled it and did a fresh install from play store which fixed the issue.....

i used astro file manager to backup apk of mxplayer in which i install. ill try to fresh install using playstore.

still no luck. i uninstall mx player and fresh install from playstore. for about 1-5 mins of playing movie, my sp reboots. i tried playing movies in diceplayer, for about 10-20mins it reboots also. im using full stock 2.254 ftf flashed with flashtool, rooted using doomlords method, no other modifications made. can anybody confirm this? for now ill be going back to 1.257 full stock where random reboots with playing movie is not present.

Hmmm i also had this problem or rather still have it . But i think i know what is causing the problem. MX player by default, played videos on H/W decoder. For me the volume was too low so i turned on S/w "audio" decoder to increase the volume whereas still being on h/w decoder, so after playing the video for about 2-3 minutes my rebooted . I didn't what was causing it, already happened like 5-6 times but yesterday while watching man of steel, i turned on S/w decoder (under H/w decoder) rather than S/w "audio" decoder and bang on! It worked, no reboots plus increased volume . I will tested some more movies and no reboots now .
Here, hope these screenshots help

[Q] Problem with Google Music Play

Hey all,
First post so hope I'm doing this right.
I'm running ICS Infinitum Rom with Semaphore Kernel 1.1.1 on my GT i9000 and i've been trying to use the latest version of Google Play Music.
It can play files from my internal SD fine, but i'm having trouble getting it to play files from the emmc/audio folder. It locates all the music there but i get an error reading "Couldn't play the track you requested".
I've tried force closing and clearing data, this does not work. So i re-flashed rom and kernel. This worked. Until i flashed the Beats audio by dre.zip.
Same thing happens. So after reflashing Rom again it works for maybe two days, then i get the same error as before.
So i know somehow this works. But not sure why it changed all of a sudden?
I'm wondering if it has anything to do with format of SD?
Any help, greatly appreciated.
That sounds to me as though you have a corrupt file or a bad external sd in which case try to format it.. or you might need to clear the cache in CWM unless of course you already have done so then im out of options. seems strange that it works for some time though.
And reflashing seems a bit excessive to keep doing, you could try a different rom and see...
Yeh I tried to format but that didn't work. And a cache clear from recovery but no luck. Which rom would you recommend to try?

That I can't really advise you on as I'm using the same ROM as you, just an older version. But try any really, just read up on some bugs they might be having. I'm going to look for a new one now to try anyway so..
I just reflashed the same from/kernel again. Then before using titanium backup to restore apps I tried Google music. It worked. So then I restored all other apps/data then rebooted. After reboot music didn't work. So it must be something from my backup affecting this program. Is trial and error the only way to figure this out?

Okay, so I've changed Rom. Gone back to aokp build 36. Google music works fine now. Although I've noticed that ES Explorer is reading my sd card and emmc as though they've swapped?

Download the 2 attachments.
Flash the fix 1 in recovery and reboot into the Rom. Come back to recovery and flash fix 2. The emmc and the sd won't be swapped now.

Update: So after still having various problems with Google music, I tried Apollo which worked well (although I had a horrid battery drain when using) now I'm on SlimIcs using the stock music app. It hasn't missed a beat and reads my SD card well.

Chrome crashes on copy/paste url

Hi all,
I'm running the stock LRT Rom, with the latest speedmod kernel, and for a while now (happened with LRQ as well) I've had a problem with chrome crashing.
The browser works fine but any time I mark the URL line and try to cut or copy, or go into a tab and try to paste something, it locks up the phone for a few seconds, then closes chrome with a "sorry but chrome has crashed" error. After that I can just start chrome again and use as normal, but cut/copy/paste just do not work.
Has anyone seen this problem? I'm using SwiftKey as my keyboard, not sure if that's related since I've had that for a very long time and it used to be fine.
I'll slowly start changing things back to stock and see if I can fix it, but maybe someone else has run into this as well and can suggest something.
Thanks all!

Nope.
Chrome works well on my device.
Did you flash with a clean installation ? or you just flash over the LRQ ?
If you just flash over, try to wipe cache and dalvikcache.
If still not working, go to setting, application, choose internet, clear the data / cache.

Try clearing app data or reinstall chrome
Tried both things, and still nothing. Looks like I'll have to do a full wipe. Thanks all.

Xperia SP Self Reboot

Hi there,
I am using Xperia SP C5303 with new firmware 12.1.A.0.266(updated through Sony Bridge for Mac). Before I updated the phone from 4.1.2 I had done factory reset of the phone.
Within typical usage there is usually around 260-300 MB RAM free, also there are no ram-eating widgets and ****s like that.
My xperia tends to self reboot without any particular reason. Sometimes it happens while using chrome. There was one time when incoming sms made it reboot. Before rebooting it freezes and pixels gradually fade to black.
Does any of You guys know what could cause that kind of behaviour ? It has never happened to me while I was using previous firmware.
P.S. I have already tried repairing the software using built-in option in sony bridge.
I hope there is a soul that could help me because sony just said - send phone to service -_-

flash stock again with flashtool..
Seems to work! Thank You mate!
Unfortunately the problem persist, xperia freezes and restarts.
I used the C5303 12.1.A.0.266 AU Generic provided by Doomlord. I flashed the device using the wipe option. I am pretty sure that it is not connected with any particular app.
Does anybody have another idea or had same problem ?
I'm using the Australian rom in the UK been on it for about a week. Had no problems here. Did have an issue when I held down the power button it wouldn't shut down but a hard reset seems to have cured that

Hi mine does the same as yours. On 4.1 it sometimes just had backlight which can life with but now on 4.3 it freezes a lot, force closes things and fades like yours. Try removing chrome (takes 40mb odd just sat there compared to 24mb on other browsers. Try removing japenese keyboard layout too as this takes 54mb :-S Also maybe try a memory cleaner as I've noticed that even though you have closed apps down and removed them from the open apps screen it's still running them. So it may be due to poor memory management within the update.

Actually the rom posted by rabea3 seems to be the best one. Not a single crash so far.
Thank You rabea3!
Hello!
I have the very same problem with my Xperia SP.
It's a strange problem. On android 4.1.2 with DoomLord's v04 the phone was working fine. Now on 4.3 it was okay with DoomLord's advanced stock kernel, and then Sony released .201, flashed it, phone kept freezing&rebooting. Then I flashed back to advanced stock kernel and it wouldn't work. Rebooting persists.
I'd like to get some guidance on what should I do next?
Thanks in advance!
P.S.No warranty or a Sony center nearby,so sending to service is not an option.

What do you mean with a clean install?
Did you use flashtool or via recovery wiping all?
I don't have any reboot while listening to music and I think it's not one of the known bugs...

By clean install i mean that i have wiped data via flashtool and also in recovery before i installed the fw itself(deodexed one). So at first i used the new 199 over the last one without wiping, and i thought the reboots were caused by data mismatches. So I did a clean install. I flashed via flashtool the fw, flashed a kernel with recovery and did a factory reset there too, then istalled the deodexed zip via the same recovery. So i got to have the kernel flashed also. I am clearly not a noob. Now I have to check my apps, cause if you dont have it then the ony thing that is different on mah phone are my apps. I havent accepted any root premissions whatsoever on my clean istall, but i removed bloatware using TitBak. maybe I have deleted a system app that is nececery. But I was carefull this time. dunno mate
I get the random reboots as well but only when my phone is idle and it will reboot every few moments while idle...it happened after I flashed the 199 ROM from 4.1.2 (maybe I should had done one after the other) and get the won't charge bug from time to time (change to a cheaper USB cord let's it charge) random artifacts as well on the screen like a flash of text. So lots of bugs

[Q] Xperia V shutdown for no reason

I'm using NeoWave rom with Cm11 NeoKernel. There is some informations about SoD in NeoWave thread, but it seems like my problems is something completely different so I make a new thread here. My phone rapidly shutdown on itself these day and it become nearly unusable. And it can happed anytime, when I was browsing, or gaming, sometime it shutdown when I just wake it from sleep, or even when phone is booting. And when it off I can turn it on normally without the need to do a battery-pull. Already wipe data and reinstalled rom but the issue still there. So now I don't have any clue about this issue (but it seems more like a hardware-related issue now)

Used to happen to me too when I was on NeoWave and few people reported the same. It's because of lowered voltages...so you either have to read a few last pages in NeoWave rom's thread where someone wrote how to solve it or change the rom like I did.

So your phone turns off in Carbon too???
Did you do a clean install (wiping all cache and data) before installing both of these roms?
You could try LiquidSmooth too...I'm using it for 3 days now and haven't had any reboot, force close or lag at all.

I always do a clean install (actually I even wipe cache and data when update from the same rom ). Also I tried anything posted in NeoWave rom thread that can fix this but result doesn't change. And my phone turns off so randomly that make me think that it might be some hardware issue. Will try LiquidSmooth and see
