Just got mine today in black - best thing that ever happened to this phone, could not be happier. Super thin, smooth finish, perfect fit - no more glossy fingerprint nightmare back. I LOVE it.
That is all. Oh and shipping from DayDeal was really fast.

It helps a lot with grip. It really is a perfect case IMO.
Yeah, I had preordered a Diztronic case but I'm reconsidering and thinking of purchasing this one. I like the looks of this one better, and--correct me if I'm wrong--I think this case will offer a better grip (I'm mainly after grip and small size).

I concur - the thinness and material make the grip much better. Coming from the cheap Fosmon TPU case is night and day.

I couldn't agree more. Grip is awesome! I paid for overnight shipping for this sucker as I hated the back so bad.
My only concern is that I want a tempered glass cover from iloome and while the case is BARELY gripping the sides, I see it interfering with the protector by the smallest of margins so that it won't fit properly. I put a ZAGG on it for peace of mind right now until the iloome ships, so I'll guess we'll see.

Sure! It will be later today as I'm out for all day kids soccer but I know there is a thread with one that is gray. Same style and you can see where the "fit" is.
Yup, in the same boat with gray and black. Don't know which one I like better but the feel of them both is phenomenal.
Glad to hear that they're working out well, I was gonna order one myself this week.
Anyone purchase the brushed aluminum one though? I'm curious as to how that'll feel in-hand.

I ordered one but it hasn't shipped yet.
i wanted to see pictures of how the top and bottom look on the phone. is there full protection? many of these cases cut off over the corners and leave the top and bottoms exposed. i like a full frame case but all the pictures seem to show only a front and back view including the ones on their website
Here are the pictures as promised (although later than I promised so sorry about that).

WHy would you need full framing? It covers the corners and if you were to drop parallel with a side, it would hit the case edges...
Also because this phone has almost no bezel some cases will be hard to use with a screen protector.

I've got the Case-Mate Tough Case and even though it has the little bump pattern on it it's way too slippery... it's not rubbery feeling like it looks in the pictures...
And I've spent the better part of a week reading reviews and searching and can't find a good answer... So what's the best case for GRIP? Preferably it should give decent protection, not be too big (I don't want something like the huge Otterbox or Seidio Active) and have a lip on the front to protect the screen.. other than that I just want it to actually be GRIPPY!!! This phone is huge (it's awesome, but huge) and I really need some grippiness on the back so that I can one-hand it... I've looked at the Aegis, Ballistic, UAG and others but there are mixed reviews as to the actual feel of the outside. I want something that I can lay it in my hand at a slight angle and it won't just slide off... The Case-Mate really checks all the boxes except for the fact that it's just so dang slippery!!
So if you've personally got a case/used one that you find exhibits exceptional "grippability" then toss a dog a bone and hook me up..
Thanks everyone..
(and if you're in the market for a Case-Mate Tough case then I'll make ya a deal....although it's prolly not worth the shipping..lol)
Not sure but I use a Body Glove and its pretty grippy around the sides (not so on the flat back tho). I remember hearing of some adhesive kind of like Flygrip but cheaper kind of like tape/sticker which you could apply to all kinds of different things altho they made some specifically for phones and other devices to give you a better grip .
First off I'll take that case mate if you're in North America definitely not worth the shipping otherwise. Anyway I would assume any tpu case is as grippy as you're going to get but there's a protection trade-off obviously. You could try getting a flygrip or a sling grip. I have the fly on my otterbox/zl setup and it's definitely the best one handed solution I just feel super nerdy using it lol.

PM me if you really want the Case-Mate, I'll prolly keep it until I find something better though, it's slippery but at least it's protected when it falls.. And yeah, I had a Fly Grip, but I made the mistake of selling it with the phone I had at the time, plus I pocket this slab of a phone and I'm not sure I could handle the extra bump on the back...
No rush I'm just a case hoarder lol. If you find something else hit me up.

I don't think anything comes close to a cheap gel rubber case for sheer grippines. There are any number of brands that can be had for 4 bucks shipped and I keep one around for when I want to sit and read manga.
They suck for sliding in and out of a tight pocket though. There is a point of being too grippy.

I went ahead and got a cheapo rubber/silicone case from Ebay.. I figure I can't go wrong trying it when it cost <$6 shipped...
I have this case in black (also a couple of other colors). It has grippy ribbing on the sides and the Android logo on the back is matte ... overall a reasonable balance between grip and something that will go in and out of your pocket.

The kickstand is kind of hard to use but I hardly ever use it. Honestly that wasn't one of the reasons why I decided to buy the case. I had one of these cases on my BlackBerry Bold 9900 before I bought my GN2. I like that my phone feels solid in my hand, it's not too bulky, it's easy to put on/take off and it offers great protection. I already had one drop when my GN2 fell out of my jacket pocket from about three feet to asphalt and the only wrong was my case had a small scough mark. I like the case. This is just my opinion.

Yes, the case has a raised lip around the screen. The lip will keep the screen off a flat surface like a table; it is a significant lip. There are many pictures of this case in the thread where people are showing photos of their cases. Here is a youtube.com video that is pretty good.

I bought it at ebay at this dealer:
http://www.ebay.com/usr/cellcase4u
My experience was great, my cover arrived to Mexico in 6 days, very fast.
Personally I think that any cover that fits G2 T-Mobile, AT&T or Sprint will fit D802.
The customer support of INCIPIO is horrible, I dont understand why because the case is nice, not bulky like Otterbox, I think is enough to protect the phone.
Try to check at ebay or ask directly to INCIPIO where to buy the DUALPRO T- MOBILE variant, the models I saw are colored, personally I prefer black, but is matter of taste!
Okay... thanks.. will contact the seller then

It attacts not lot of dust, in the picture seems worse than really it is, if you pass your hand you will clean it easy.
Personally I dont like the Spigen because its bigger and the hole in the flash is so small that could affect the beam and personally I like more the black mate back of Incipio.

Good point about the flash. I read about it earlier somewhere on this forum, but I didn't think much of it. If the flash isn't properly dispersed, it may very well affect picture quality.
I'm planning on getting the white dual pro to match my white G2 that I'll be ordering soon. Hopefully the grey rubber bottom doesn't show dust/lint as much. I'm mainly concerned not with it being there, but that it might constantly be getting on my hands and may make the case slightly difficult to hold (I had a TPU silicon case for an iPod Touch one time and it was terrible with lint).
Do you think there's enough room on the sides of the case to have a tempered glass screen protector there without experiencing any lifting?

Most of the case is plastic and from my point of view this case is optimal because it does not slip from my hands.
About tempered glass, totally useless in phones with Gorilla Glass and total waste of money, for one side, this type of screen (Gorilla glass) never get an scratch with normal use, for the other this kind of screen degrades the clarity of the G2's wonderfull screen.
I have a Galaxy S2 for two year and still I see one scratch, of course maybe you will found something if you look at the microscope hehehe.... but from the normal eye sight, there is nothing and this is what matter most.

Yea, most likely one doesn't need a screen protector, but even with gorilla glass, I would feel more comfortable with one on there. Never know when I may drop the phone by accident and any additional protection helps. I don't particularly like to see any scratches on my screens, so I know it would bother me if there was on there.
Also, I'd probably get a higher resale value for keeping it in better condition!
The fit is perfect, as with all of Spigen's products. The shape follows the curves of the phone well. There is an edge around the side that feels great in the hand. The front has a slight lip that keeps the screen safe when placed face down. The look is optically clear and flawless, it really shows off the aluminum. The feel is smooth and "sticky". This case won't be slipping out of your hand anytime soon. Pair this with a Spigen screen protector (I did) and your investment is safe.

Just ordered one of those.
Got it from an Amazon seller with great feedback. Hopefully it is legit.
It's about 1/8" thick but it doesn't add that much size to the phone, it's already a heavy phone to begin with. I know there are thinner cases out there but for me, it's a good trade off for the quality and the protection it affords.

Their loss in my case. I didn't have time to wait with my job so I had to move to another maker. I really wanted a Spigen too. Glad to see its working for ya. Maybe on my next phone I'll give them a shot...
My case came in today as well. Love the look and this phone is phone is no longer slippery. Bestcase so far.
I have one of these on the way as well. I like that it's clear so I can still show off the beautiful gunmetal grey finish.
I ordered one but now might return it. Going to be here in a day or two but now I want to add this qi wireless charging solution where you hide the receiver in a case. http://www.amazon.com/Wireless-Univ...id=1396026021&sr=8-1&keywords=type+b+micro+qi Wonder if I could spray paint the wireless receiver to a gunmetal type color and if it would look ok in the clear case? Probably a dumb idea.
I do have the dot view case already that I think I could hide it in. Though I'm not sure I want to always use that case. It's neat but I think it's novelty will wear off and it'll get annoying. Anyway if you want to read more on wireless charging there's a thread in this forum.

Been looking for something like this thanks!
I went to order my Spigen a week or so ago (I had posted about them in this forum). When I tried to order from my wishlist on Amazon it said someone already ordered me two. I was thinking my Dad. He says he didn't. I am hoping it comes today, and it was not an amazon glitch. LOL.
In case anyone didn't know they seem to be back up on the site (No longer saying mid- April)
I just received mine.
Definitely a *very* Spigen product, consistent with their design philosophy.
Let's start with the con:
• Edges are rather sharp, it lacks that rounded edges. As a result, it feels like a fair bit of bulk is added.
And the pros:
• The TPU material is definitely the best out there; about 4-5x thicker on the back side than the average TPU cases, and about 2x thicker around the sides/bezel/lip.
• Fairly decent lay on the table on the front face, leaving an ample clearance between the screen and table surface if you're laying it screen facing down.
• Audio port and USB port have their own cut-outs, and they're nice and have ample enough opening for most (respective) accessories.
• Volume buttons and power buttons are covered, and they have a very satisfying tactile feel when pressed.
• Clear material, really shows the true colour of the M8's Gunmetal Grey. Some TPU cases cloudy clarity; but not the case with Spigen's. EDIT: Someone mentioned a tint of yellow of the rubber; I noticed it too; but I believe it heavily depends on the kind of light that hits the TPU material.
• Improves tact; texture on the TPU material adds grip.
Things to watch out for:
• As like most clear TPU, there might be discoloration overtime. We'll see how the Spigen's Ultra Fit Capsule fares in the long run.
• Spigen's other Ultra Fit products come with a screen protector. Wouldn't hurt for Spigen to bundle the Ultra Fit capsule with a screen protector.
Overall, I'm pretty happy with the purchase! Spigen never disappoints. But having said that, I wish they'd curve the edges slightly.
7.5/10 (that sharp edges really hurt the score).
My case came today as well, and it looks very sturdy. I hope the TPU doesn't turn yellow though! A good case for everyday use.
I was recently fortunate enough to be chosen to review a new case for the LG G4. I have been using a versus wallet case for my note 4 off and on (depending on work etc etc) so I was excited to try another wallet case!
First impressions of the case-
I received very quickly from Amazon and good packaging making sure case wasn't flattened. I think you can tell a lot about a product by shipper/seller's packaging. Very well packaged ready to go. I immediatley put my G4 (leather back edition) and it stuck like glue. I tried to get out and could not it was in there good, very good. Very impressed with the strength to hold it. Sold my leather back one and I currently now have a regular gray back one and it fits just as tight. I thought the leather one fit snugly because as you know the leather is a little thicker but both fit very tight and will not go anywhere. Leather is very nice and much better then my note 4 versus case. Feel is superb and it even smells like real leather!!!! Very impressive! Onto a little pro/con list for the Artech21 Full Leather Case.
Pros:
Feel of leather (best feel of a leather case)
Quality of leather (best leather on a phone case I have seen)
Stitching (some of the best I have seen)
Clasp (best I have seen, very small yet sturdy and hides away when case open unlike others)
Cons:
Cutouts by camera/volume buttons (short explanation needed here imo, just a little funky looking does not effect case or functionality just worth mentioning, could just be because it was one of the first produced)
Top/Bottom bezels are exposed (can't complain a whole lot here as my versus case on my note 4 is the same way and haven't seen another wallet case that is enclosed completely)
Neither are deal breakers
A few photos to show quality and color of it.
Personally I love the tan color some may not as they also offer a nice vintage brown (very dark color)
This photo shows the cutouts off center a tad around power/volume buttons
A look of it laying flat and the little strong clasp
Close up of clasp
Ignore the dust on the screen, my new screen protector isn't here yet lol
Notice the quality difference in the leather, Artech is much higher and not cheap like versus
Notice both are open at both ends. In a perfect world it would be closed all the way around the bezels
Notice how with the tiny clasp it sits flat compared to the versus note 4 case which will not lay flat

Thanks for thorough the review and good pics. Were you able to assess how well the wallet component of the case worked; does is close properly when filled with credit cards/id/cash?
So ugly.

You're talking about a leather accessory in a forum for a phone with a leather back. So...
This leather craze is getting out of control. Feels like we're going to put on our cowboy boots and conquer the west.

Really? You think so? I like the looks of both my leather cases and the real shortfall is the junk g4 leather plastic feeling back

When people need a leather case to accompany their leather backed phone, they're a hat away from being Billy the Kid

i have no idea why you put the full grain leather case together with PU Leather ,
Verus is over priced as they used PU

just comparing similar wallet cases
Just a note, when I received my case, the bezel is covered all the way around. I got the darker version, so not sure if it was a design change or variation. I'll be doing my review sometime soon.

How would you describe the quality of the leather/product as a whole?

interesting. Are the sides of that tpu relatively soft or is the whole thing very rigid?

wow i am selling my g4 but i want one of these for my note 4 now!
I installed the Skinomi clear matte skin on the back a few days ago. I'm really not a fan of how the back glass feels. It's slippery, attracts fingerprints, and gets slimey.
Personally, installing this has made the phone feel so much better. Plus, if you're going caseless like me, you mostly retain the original look of the phone.
For the most part, I did a decent job installing it. I put too much pressure on some parts when getting the bubbles out and dented the skin (it's wet install). Those are the odd looking spots in the pictures. Otherwise, all the bubbles came out over night. It also comes with clear matte sides and a font screen protector, which I don't plan on ever putting on. I recommend this is you're not a fan of the glass feel!
Edit: Here's a video that seoulbrova did of the clear skin (non-matte) https://youtu.be/K1kA2rK4y7k
Wow. I actually like the matte look a lot better. I might have to get me one of these.
Thank you!
Wow looks great I like it. Might have to do it too. Thanks.

Are you getting a substantial amount of grip from the skin? Its my biggest concern. I hate cases and even more so on big phones because the width is right where I max out now and a case kills the perfection of the width to body ratio. I saw the Sammy clear case with just corners but frankly the corners still look annoying, large and the clear case doesn't add much grip which is my entire issue.

I wouldn't say substantial, but it makes a difference. I would compare it to the back of the G4, but without the diamond pattern.

Do you feel like this is enough to give you the confidence to wheel it around one handed with no case?

Yes, but I was doing one handed without the skin too. I use pie control to put the home, back, and multitasking in the sides so I don't have to do hand gymnastics to get to the bottom of the phone. This way I can hold it so maybe 80% of the screen is accessible one handed. I think stretching your fingers to reach parts of the phone will lead to more accidental drops.

It doesn't add grip like the feeling of the Note 4, but it adds enough to make me feel much more comfortable when holding it. I compare it to the smoother matte back of the G4.
Yeah,it's cool. It doesn't look like it's on there. Great job! This is what I've been looking for. Thanks OP
i've got a crystal clear case for my white N5d coming in. this would be a great way to rid the glossy look which i don't really like.

Here's a video of it installed https://youtu.be/K1kA2rK4y7k
It adds significant grip imo. You can see how I turn it to show that it doesn't slip off. It reminds me of tackiness on football gloves.

Nice video. I added the link into the OP. Hope you don't mind. I wonder how the matte skin vs the clear skin compares in grip.
I've received mine on Thursday, it's been on the phone for 2 days now.
The fit could be better, and the edges tend to collect dust but it does look quite nice.
The texture is not tacky and reminds me of matte polycarbonate.
