The T-Mobile camera software update that was just released has improved our Moto X cameras dramatically! I have installed camera apk's before, so why hasn't anyone uploaded the one from the t-mobile update? If you have it, post it HERE for everyone to use. Thanks!

This has been asked and answered many times. The improvement is not in the apk, it's in the firmware.

Has there been a camera update for the VZW Moto X? If so, is there a way to apply it to rooted devices?
Thanks :good:

Hello everyone,
I am posting here today on the topic of the Moto X OS Updater. I have the VZW Moto X Dev Ed running Rooted Kit Kat 4.4. I do not want the new update and it is asking me everyday if I would like to install. As I am not interested in doing so I would like to remove this. Is there a way to shut down the updater or maybe even remove the apk? If so what is it called or how do I do so?
Thanks in advance!

Well from what I read I can't go back to the post camera update if I take 4.4.2. This is important I am able to do what I want you know.

The main reason people want to get back to 4.2.2 is to root. with the DE you can root with any version because of the unlocked bootloader.

You have a developer edition... You can flash damn well near anything you want.

yeah, but a little reading and people can figure it all out. and some of the fear is good, people get a little too trigger happy sometimes before they learn the ropes of a new device.

nah, the misinfo keeps getting posted and reposted and the more you read, the more misinfo you read.

well it is very known what you can and can't flash, it's stickied in the general thread. No misinfo on that one. also all the upgrading and downgrading software and bootloader info is there too. pretty much everything, I think the people who are nervous are the ones not reading threads. things are pretty clear and dry here, and many questions have been answered there too!

hope that helps explain things cartland!

Wow, good read! Thanks for the link!

From what others are posting using the unofficial fxz, you can run the 4.4 system with the 4.4.2 bootloader and I would presume the 4.2.2 system, too although I don't see where anyone has specifically tried that. However, if you do run a lower version of the system than the bootloader and accidentally take the 4.4.2 OTA again, you will brick. So you would need to freeze the OTA app to avoid that.

Got it, better idea!
Ask dev in that thread if they can mod the file for you, there is a lot of development going on for the N5 so maybe someone can do it for you or point you in the right direction!
Hope that helps eric.

Yes its already posted here in a flashable zip. Keep in mind HDR won't work because it only works on non GPE devices. If you want a link to the OP let me know I'll post it.

Enjoy the app, it doesn't work as well as the stock google one for me but it has some nice features. Also that one has the extra settings unlocked.
Hello ,
Today received a full version update of One UI - Android PiE Update for Indian Version of Note 9. (Version - N960FXXU2CSA2/ N960FOXM2CSA2/ N960FXXU2CRLT) with security Patch of 1st Jaunary.
There are many small changes in the update.
One thing I missed was the Power saving options we had in the location Services. Any workarounds?
The Battery Life is also great after this update. Guess it will stabilize after a few days.
Please share new features / Tricks for the betterment/ Problems of this new update!
Reserved!
The camera has also been updated much! Hope some can post a full review on it!

You probably need to change the title then to something like One UI experience because this misleading to the official firmware thread
