Let's start with basics
DisplayInternal Technology TN Resolution QVGA (240 x 320) Size 3.14inch
The front of the device features the 3.14” TFT touchscreen of QVGA resolution. Size and the low resolution are things you need to accept in a low-end smartphone. Apart from that, the capacitive unit is very responsive and supports multi-touch. Colors come out fine and contrast is good. Above the screen, there’s a proximity sensor. We didn’t have any issues with it, but the lack of an ambient light sensor means you’ll have to manually set the brightness to match changing lighting conditions. Fair is fair though: using the Galaxy Mini S5570 out on a sunny day won’t be a problem.
Now works great with new touch drivers on 4.3
Stylus after this
If u have any touch problems please ask I am good at this

Stylus available for mini ( home made but surely working)
U may be surprised to know that stylus for mini is available
Not official but I have a trick
First take a used and ink finished marker it should not write
.
Then use the marker on your screen ur done :thumbup:
Works with all ROMs ,best with the latest v4.3 because of touch D's

USE YOUR FINGER!

Pardon me for blabbering, I don't wanna give up yet. But is there a chance you could draw on HD7?
I'm an Architect and I usually unsheath my Xperia X1 stylus and hit notepad and before you know it I'm drawing room dimensions to take down notes for length width and height. (usuall construction stuff).
And oh, forgive me for posting this but I didn't start a thread like this when I was with my:
1. HTC Prophet to
2. HTC Alpine to
3. XDA Zinc to
4. SE Xperia X1 till
now. >D
Pencilio is an awesome sketch app in the marketplace.
As for stylus, I imagine a capacitive one would work, but I always hear stories of spottiness. Pencilio works surprisingly well with your finger though.
Nice! As long as I can draw squares and arrowheads inside it to take note of dimensions, I don't even need the drawn line to be perfectly straight.
It's really nice to when someone knows how to do something and shares it here at xda-devs.
Thanks!

Here's one of the more popular capacitive styli: http://www.amazon.com/BoxWave-Capac...I76S/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1296244909&sr=8-1
Using that in any drawing app, such as jim says, should be very similar to your previous experiences.
Yep, XDA is a fantastic place

yes this is very cool
Did anyone managed to port it?

I would love to see this for GB too. My Droid X keys are barely hanging on. I'm using an ICS ROM right now and love the softkeys, but want to go back to GB because of all the other bugs in the ICS ROM I'm using.

Trust me it's the best for hd2 I always used that one since 2 years and I tried everything... just ics softkeys are better
Inviato dal mio NexusHD2
I agree. I use zMooth for a long time and can't imagine my HD2 without zMooth.
Its not a key, its a small swipe surface on the bottom of the screen and it does not take a part of the screen away. E.g. swipe left for back, or right for menu.
See the pic. attached.
How did you get that battery % instead of the battery showing

It's an option of battery settings inside RCTweaks of RCMix3D ROM. Also the ScreenOff button on bottom-right. It's a pretty good thing.
This feature is in all CM7 ROMs, it's called TabletTweaks. And it is even better, as it uses only statusbar.
good job
looking to see if someone could come up with a way of porting the two sided keyboard from the samsung slate 7 onto our tab/ making it into an app.
if any of you dont know what i mean, im talking about the built in ability that windows NT offers to have two halves of a whole keyboard on either side of the tablet when used in landscape mode, so you dont have to stretch your thumbs all the way to the centre when using it..
if this is possible it would be great to see as i think alot of people would like to try it...
thanks for listening everyone!

Please try Swiftkey tablet that might work for you.
Swype Beta also has a split-keyboard mode, in both portrait and landscape.
Cheers, will try them both now.

You might want to try floatnsplit keyboard. You can customize everything.

Hi all, since the first time I saw a texture on the screen, like a photovoltaic panel in my screen (and that of my friend too), i tryed to take a photo but the black of the screen can just mirror all the room.
Anyone know what is?

I believe you are looking at the sensor grids.... it's not a defect every Z has it, so no worries

The + looking grid thing? I believe those are the touch sensors. Every phone has them like the poster before said it.

Hey guys,
I'm new over here because I just upgraded from my Xperia S to an Xperia T (dont ask haha) so hi .
basically the first thing I thought when using the phone was what a waste the buttons were as they took up quite a good part of the screen, and so despite being 0.3" bigger than the Xperia S this was not noticeable. I also hated the aspect ratio of the screen love a good 16:9
anyway after searching on here and around for ages I finally came across a simple solution that works very well
its this app here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gmd.hidesoftkeys
I bought the pro version and its def worth it, because this is such an amazing set up!
sorry if this is already well known on here, but thought I'd share anyway, oh and if you find you can't activate the buttons in the camera mode its because you have to swipe from the side (it thinks its landscape, same with full screen games)
Very nice, I love this
I like it too

Thanks, just had a play with it. but prefer the one I posted in this thread because you can customise much more like make the icons xperia and not google nexus style, also it hides the current on screen buttons without needing to do anything yourself so more simple for people.
also guys what I realised is its best to select 'spoof soft keys' otherwise apps will open without the more options button so you'll have no way to get into further settings etc.
