hello, after i flashed the android revolution hd 22.1 rom my battery started to go haywire. Just after removing the charger at 100%, there was an instant dip in battery to about 90%. Still monitoring the progress.
Any idea what is happening?
Thank you

Some said that even after the LED goes green, you need to keep it charging for at least 30 mins more.

No don't think you need to be worried about it. Seems to be an issue with ARHD 22.x (and possibly all 4.3 based ROMs), before it didn't have that problem. Keep charging 30min after the LED goes green and see if it makes a difference.

alright thank you so much! i'll leave it to charge then let it run dry tomorrow. will update again!
Hello again. So far the battery has been great after i followed your instructions(leaving it to charge for another 30 or so minutes after the notification light turns green). 15 hours 20mins since unplugged and battery is down to 50% only. screen on for 2 hours. Used with LTE. Will update again.

When I flashed ARHD I re-calibrated it using this app that deletes the battery log file or some **** and resets it so when it is at 100% its actually at 100% and when it is at 14% and gives you the notif, it is actually at 14 not 20 or 2...
I believe the app is just called Battery Calibration aha.

Wow that sound's pretty good, I may have to give it a try (I'm still on 13.3). Are you using the stock kernel or custom? And which firmware?
Thanks

Think im using the stock kernel as the only thing i've done with it so far is the unlocking, rooting then flashing of android revolution hd 22.1 custom rom. so far its great! gonna let the battery drain to empty then recharging it to test for another day.

don't let it drain completely, some people have reported problems getting their device to wake up after a complete battery drain, and the phone shutting off prematurely.

Alright! Thank you so much! You've been a great help!
i actually had the battery issue on 22.0 and was trying to flash 22.1 in the hopes that it will fix the issue . now stuck in a loop
After playing around with some Maclaw ROMS (cm10.2 and cm11) I went back to stock ROM. However I had big battery drains after that.
I did a complete wipe of user and cache and dalvik. I installed stock firmware with Odin. Did it over again with KIES. But still a big battery drain. Like 15% an hour. No apps installed other than the bloatware the in the firmware.
I've read somewhere about someone else who had the same issue, but I cannot find it anymore.
Anyone an idea?
Maybe you should try to format all partitions in recovery (except your internal and external SD card of course) and reflash the stock firmware.
By the way, 15% an hour is quite normaal for me.

Custom Roms battery drain, can be the 1ghz bug .
when you did alot off playing ( such as flashing from rom to rom an formatting again in a few hours. it cost you battery .
And now back on stock rom. Try to load your battery again to 100 % and see what will happen after it .
Stock rom = 100 % - 0% battery --> +- 20 hours
Custom roms= can do it longer.
but if you are a heavy caller, gamer. the battery will be down faster .

I've had the same problem. I updated the working 10.1 october version to the december version. After switching back to october version the failure was still there. Only way to solve it was a new battery - but it costs only about 10 € ...
i think that it is true that rom by itself is still buggy with cpu governer bug that causes to be stuck on 1ghz without dropping to 200mhz on the other side...when i try another version i shall make my jugdement more clearly
i got this problem on 02.13 release when i update to 02.16 problem was solved. didnt update 02.18 yet

Perhaps you should also consider the lifetime and usage of your battery. After months of charging and discharging once or twice a day, it´s not so unnormal that a battery goes weak...which has imho directly nothing to do with the used software...

Thanks for the reply.
I charged again to 100 % en let it go to 0%. It took about 9 hours, AIRPLANE MODE!!!
Checked CPU with CPU spy: it goes to deep sleep.
No apps installed except the bloatware the Samsung firmware comes with (and CPU spy).
Maybe it's just my battery gone bad/dead at the same time I tested the Maclaw roms. I already ordered a new one (2450 mAh!), but it takes about a month to get here (if it arrives all together; I live on a tiny little island).
However... I also noticed I do not have network coverage some times. Just no network. Could it be that if you flash it with Odin/Kies not everything is wiped and reinstalled? Like modem drivers (although it's strange the drain also occurs in airplane mode). To make it more complicated: I just moved to another place, so maybe the coverage is worse around here.
I just hate it if I can't pinpoint the problem

Hi,
I think you are on 1ghz bug if you have custom rom.
When you are on stock. This is not normale, your battery is going bad
Where did you bought a new one, im looking for a new one also.

Tried the 02.16 cm11 release => no change. Think my battery is just gone. I'll wait for the new one to arrive and will see then.

I bought a 2450 mAh battery here (only $5, but have to see if it really arrives first):

Hi!, I'm having the same issue here:
-Super-battery drain, specially when restarting the phone, huge 20% drops.
-Phone looses signal inexplicably,5 bars and suddenly dead, restarting solves the problem, but when signal drops, the battery starts getting HOT, even on IDLE.
-Im using Carbon 4.4.2 KitKat ROM on S3Mini I8190L.
Battery was working quite well with Cyano 11 about 3 months ago, switched to MIUI ROM because a friend recommended it, ROM started to be unstable, laggy and battery life wasn't great, had the same "signal lost" issues. Then downloaded the Carbon ROM and everything went worse.
-I always do full wipe, (davlik, data, interal storage, everything).
Any ideas?
Sup people,
I just got a GN1 and it was on gingerbread 2.3.5, then I flashed it to Omni ROM 4.4.4, Raw Kernel R5 and PA gapps, did a factory reset and installed apps from zero.
But Ive been experiencing some heating and battery draining sometimes. I think that this probably happens due to a stuck process or app. But how can I identify what its getting froze and making my phone heat and battery get drained? What if this isnt the cause, what could be doing this?
Try a battery pull for a couple of seconds and monitor.

Thanks, its google+. Ive been searching and its common stuff.
(dont know why the thank button doesnt show up)
So i have had my htc one for about a year and a half now and for the past couple of months i have been having problems with my battery. The way it is acting is really sporadic so i will try to explain it the best way i can. First of all, the battery is draining faster then usual, and it won't charge when plugged to a computer for some reason (ok sometime it does charge but its so random, and when it does it will only charge for about 1-2% in the span of an hour) So i have to use a power outlet when i need to charge my phone.
Now what i did when it did that, which is a solution i found on the net was to clear the system cache which i did by going into twrp recovery(yes btw my phone is running android HD 62.0 with kit kat 4.4.2) and wiping the cache..That only seemed to help fix the issue for awhile, because after that my phone could somehow charge from a computer but it still drained fast and i notice that it also overheats more then the usual. So at this point i did a little more researching, made sure that all my process/task were closed and everything and it seem that its always my android system that seems to be using alot of power (see my attached screenshot).
Ultimately at the beginning of the week i did a factory reset, this SEEMED to have fix the issue for about 3 days my phone was working fine, no hard battery drain it , no overheat and it would even charge fine on a computer... until about 2 days all the above came back ! woke up in the morning, my phone was hotter then usual, by the time i arrived at work my phone is at 75% and all i did was listen to music !
Now i really loved my HTC while it lasted and was even planning on getting the M8, but im disappointed that the battery is giving me headache like this so im hoping there is something i can do before i decide to change phone completly
Any help would be greatly appreciated thank you !!

I wish I knew of a fix for this problem as well, because I appear to have exactly the same problem with my M7 running ViperOne 5.8. I'm hoping that updating the ROM will alleviate the issue, but I have no idea. I also don't know that mine fails to charge from a computer — my impression is simply that it's charging slower than the battery is being drained by whatever process(es) is causing the problem.
I'll let you know if I find an answer!
hmmm i thought i could avoid having to update the rom but i guess thats one of the only solution left for me to try. could anyone confirm if this could possibly fix the issue ?

My phone (Spice Uno) use to last 2 days on standby with wifi enabled on lollipop but ever since the marshmallow update it can't barely last more than 14 hrs that too on standby let alone usage . Factory reset hasn't helped either. Any body else facing the same issue? Whats the fix?
battery drain is subjective since not all users have this issue. I advice you to downgrade to lollipop or kitkat until google sends out a fix.
How old is your phone? Could this be the battery going out?

I think you should reflash the marshmallow rom in your device.
May be the issue reolves after that.
I was having the same issue on upgrading to marshmallow. I cleared the dalvik cache and normal cache and that fixed it.
I'm having same issue. Android One Mito Impact A10 for Indonesia is being kept awake all the time after the update to Android M. Its battery life becomes poorer. Not being able to enter deep sleep mode kills the battery overnight. :/
Factory reset, using only preinstalled app, minimum push notification and location access, and using no external sdcard didn't help at all.
spice dream uno is suffering!!

Having the same problem on my Karbonn Sparkle V. I even tried it on Aeroplane Mode but the problem is still there. I'm also having CPU overheating issues.
Not a device problem, my phone was fine last week when I was on Lollipop.
Try to reboot your phone to safe mode. Let it sit for a while, then open the Battery to see if "Awake" is still active. If not, reboot your phone again. This worked for me
Guys try this,
Remove your Google account from the device and your battery life will be better than ever.
For some reason the phone tries to keep syncing even if that is disabled.
Same issue with Nexus and they are waiting to get the next update which will have the fix.
Drawback: your recent's and favorite contacts will not show the names
caller ID will not show the name of the caller
but the phone will work well

The same issue here. I have Micromax Android One. On Lollipop, a 8hr standby drained just 2 or 3% battery. And now on Marshmallow, a 3 hr standby sucks 10-15%!!!

Its not subjective in this case. Almost all users after the update are facing this issue. If the battery is 100% at bedtime, in the morning it drops to 80%. This is indeed bad.
If google doesn't send a fix soon, better to downgrade to lollipop else it may even kill the battery for good. But then those who have started to take advantage of the adoptable storage feature will loose all their data on the sd card.
Guys do you plan to downgrade to 5.1.1 ? I am not rooted but have the OTA zip file.
I had similar problems with battery drain. I just factory reset my device and its all gone. 1% battery drain yesterday night(8 hrs).
