[Q] Finding the "region" of stock ROM - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I was wondering if there is a way to find out if the stock ROM is WWE or not. Here's why I'm asking.
When I purchased the HTC Desire few years ago, it clearly came with an Arab-region based ROM. Right from the moment I turned it on, the region selection showed Middle Eastern countries. (Plus some apps which I definitely did not need)
I then searched out and flashed a WWE ROM.
My new HTC One was also purchased in the Middle East, but this time around - the ROM doesn't seem to be based out of the Arab-region. Hence I mused out loud if I could confirm if this phone has indeed come with the WWE ROM.
Thanks for taking the time to read. Any insight would be great.

Middle east = EMEA = WWE UL
You can check which product code/model ID by running these commands using adb and fastboot
Code:
adb reboot bootloader
fastboot getvar all

Thanks, @blu9987.
I will run adb and find out. It did not strike me earlier to check that 'variants' image - going by what you've mentioned, I suppose I already am on WWE. Cool!
Weird it was so different with the Desire, but that was three years ago.

Chinese No-name stereo-gps bootloader broken

Hello, this is my first mail. I am also writing for help.
I have a chinese 2Din car stereo called Maisun MT-8001 (800x480), and I had problems while installing MioPocket 4.0. It has 2 zones: radio, bluetooth, ipod, video, dvd zone and the GPS/Windows CE 6.0 zone. The problem is with windows zone.
First, it doesn't boot, it got stuck in the first screen, so I decided to flash another time wince. It worked, but I wasn't able to find a WinCe 6 with the same resolution as mine. Some of them has an acceptable resolution but the touchscreen didn't worked, some of them the opposite... While trying WinCe firmwares, I added to one of them a file from another one because whitout it it doesn't install, but it was an error, because it got stuck while flashing eboot and now the GPS zone is dead.

When I click on GPS it just says: "No signal" and if I try to flash anything it doesn't care.
Do you know how to solve it? I think that if I could flash another time the eboot (I think it's the bootloader) it will be alive another time but I don't know how...
If you think that opening it and doing some soldiers will help.. I would do it...
PD: I have the firmware from the seller
Please, can you help me?

Tmobile HD7 denmark

I was wondering if someone could help get me going in the right direction. I have a Tmobile HD7 on stock os version: 7.10.8107.79. Im going to send it to my friend in Denmark to use there. What do i need to do to get it to work properly there. i have it sim unlocked but id like to get it correct to work in europe with the danish language. any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks
Read the rules before posting anything....this is the wrong section for such a question.....u have a general section for these doubts....
But since u posted....you don't have to do any changes if it's sim unlocked....he can use it perfectly over there....for the Danish language, its available with the tango update....once you update it you can change the system language to Danish ...
Mind where you post from next time...
Is the tango update available currently? if so how do i go about installing it on my stock phone?
Tango update is officially called Refresh....just wait you'll get an official update through Zune soon
Lets try posting in the correct sub-forum next time. Kthxbye.

[Q] Radio behaviour with different ROM's when phone is S-ON?

Hi all!
I have unlocked the bootloader on my phone thorugh HTC Dev, but unfortunately I cannot get S-OFF (yet, waiting patiently).
I have been trying out a few ROM's and I notced that on the latest one (that I really like!) I seem to get worse 4G coverage. I installed Android Revolution to get 4.3 and it seems to have noticeably worse 4G coverage around my office and my house. 1 bar instead of full bars.
I am just wondering; On the HTC Dev site it says that being S-ON protects what you should not change anyway, as the radio. So my radio should be the same. Might there be an issue with the compatibility between the radio and my current ROM? Is there such a thing?
Thanks in advance!
I have been googling, but there are too many variants of the HTC One out there, so I have not been able to find anything relevant to this issue on my phone.
This should be the relevant info from settings:

I've installed probably 40 different ROMs (not versions, ROMS) on my ATT One and I've noticed the same exact thing, I've actually stopped using a ROM and went to another one just to have my service feel regular again.
Changing a setting seems to have helped a lot for me. Read this post and the next page in the thread. :good:

[HELP] Finding Odin tar for my model

Recently, I've gotten an s3 mini (which I am using right now), and after flashing a few (dozen) roms, I want to go to stock, compete stock.
But there's a problem, I've scoured through the internet, and can't find a link to the ROM for my specific model. All the roms I find are for Germany, Russia, Poland, etc. But I'm 100% sure that this phone is from AMERICA. At&t specifically.
If someone, anyone, could find a tar for me, I'd be very grateful.
My phone is a i8190n, and I'm on 4.1.2.

Here you go. It doesn't matter where you got your phone from. You can flash any firmware made for another country. You'll still be able to change language so no point in searching for the exact firmware with which your phone came. Just flash the latest one from the link I gave you and you will be fine. Also the latest one isn't always on top so look at the build dates on the right (ANI1 is the latest for your model)!
Thanks for the info and the link, that's exactly what I needed. Odin, here I come!

htc desire 626s- developer version

so i got this phone:

it is still on android 5.1 while carrier models are on 6.0... i'm wondering if the boost roms (for example) are compatible with this phone, as it's upsetting how a developer version does not get updates while the other models do- i actually didn't buy the at&t version because i did not want the bloatware and wanted timely updates straight from htc.
but i've searched this forum and can't find any info on that model.
I would try to flash it with the metro-pcs RUU.
If you check the thread for downgrading the 626 you will find a metro - pcs android 5.1 RUU there.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/desire-626/development/metropcs-htc-626s-to-lollipop-t3460391
Extract the rom.zip from the ruu. You can find instructions for that on this forum.
Then rename the rom.zip to 0PM9IMG.zip and copy to sd card.
Put sd card in phone.
Boot into download mode.
Hit volume up to flash ruu.
After quick reboot hit volume up again.
Now ruu will fully load.
After lollipop is loaded do the same for the marshmallow rom.
All Depends on what your device CID is.
What is your CID ?
