[Q] BELL XT860 working ICS + data? - Motorola Droid 3

I've seen and tried several versions from different threads all over the internet, including one from a youtube video which I followed step for step, and I cannot get data working.
Can someone who has a fully working (camera, etc.) ICS install for the Bell XT860 with data, post their copy here so the rest of us can enjoy it too?

[Q] 2.2.2 Wi-Fi update. zip please

I've managed to corrupt my standard wi-fi system but can still get into CWM. Does anyone have the 2.2.2 wi-fi onloy system as an update.zip for use with CWM. I can then flash and reinstall ginger break. Have found a T-Mo file but no wi-fi only.
Thanks
What ROM are you coming from? If it's a honeystreak or something, use the tutorial here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1018809&highlight=nvflash
Most importantly, remember to do a FACTORY RESET (not in CWM) after all the files load. You only need files 2-14.. I'm not sure what the others are even for.
After that, I ran streakdroid-- it works well so far.
I just need the standard wifi image. I have a copy of NVFlash and the WIFI images and can use that just wondered if someone had an update.zip already done for use with CWM as that would be easier.
What ROM are you coming FROM? I'm asking because an update.zip won't work if you're coming from some roms. The NVFlash that I posted earlier works best.. just download the files in my earlier post.
Just coming from a stock 2.2.2 wifi with gingerbreak and CWM that I have managed to corrupt better try the NVFlash method. Thanks for answering anyway.
Yeah. Also, the T-mobile roms seem to work just fine on the WIFI version. I have a wifi version as well and have corrupted it already, but gotten it back with the NVFlash method. There is a fastboot method that's a little quicker as well, but the NVFlash works fine with the wifi. Right now, I'm running Streakdroid7 and it's working great.
i have a copy of the files from a wifi streak7 to nvflash back to 2.2 if you need them : http://mirror2.streakdroid.com/honeycomb/nvflash-wifi-imgs.rar those are specifically for the wifi 7 so no tmo branding etc

[Q] Help flashing basebands on P925

Ok so I am trying to get back to stock Froyo on the P925. Everything is great except the radio. I assume it is from the O3D because all I can seem to get is Edge.
So I've been looking through the forums all day and finally I found this...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=19440931&postcount=48
So now I need some help flashing this .fls file. I am rooted with cwm and have the V10e_00.kdz flashed and the update_thrill_stock_rom_rooted.zip as well. I dont want to go back to V20p just to get my H / H+ signal back. I've tried flashing the thriller rom to get the att froyo radio back but have had no luck. This seems to be the "golden ticket" but I cant find a clear guide on doing it. If anyone knows of a link to a guide with the files needed to accomplish this I could end this nightmare. If the phones radio isnt working right then it cant be considered "stock". I've seen a ton of guides on returning the thrill to stock but none include getting the right baseband.
Follow the steps on
HERE.
Most of the steps worked flawlessly for me with the exception, I had to run "B2CAppSetup" from a different folder.
All of the files are linked to on this guide.
I had 2.3.5 on my LG P925g (with lots of battery, phone, and SMS issues) This guid helped me to return to original 2.2.2. Been working flawlessly
hopefully it helps you out

yeah that is how I got to 2.2 stock rom but following those steps leaves you with everything stock except the original att baseband. When you flash the v10e.kdz it gives you everything stock except it leaves you with the p920 BaseBand. I read that flashing thriller may resolve it but it didnt work for me.
this is the fix
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1343915
I just did it and it works flawlessly. Its long and complicated but there is a video to help. follow the steps and it will restore the actual stock baseband. The link has all the downloads you will need and explains this process step by step. I got my H+ back Now my phone is truly back to stock.

Which rom?

well, i have an xt860 droid 3 here.
it came shipped with maverick mavrom 4.0, which was not bad, but lacked due to english only (and no german to choose, which i want) and actually not beig android 4.
i searched around a bit and found out, that most 4.x-roms lack a working camera, but i found the Steeldroid 5.6 rom over at droidforums.net (which had partially working camera)
it worked a little time, but i noticed, that there is no umts/3g and no data-point (apm) createable or selectable, so no data useable.
so i wanted to go to another rom. i tried liberty's rom, avatar's & liquid smotth, but all 3 didn't install - maybe because i still have safestrap 1.8 and don't know about the partition 1 or 3 stuff.
So for now i installed minimoto, just to have a "working" rom and starting phone. I don't want to use this rom, as it's also not multilanguage (or just not german included), so my question:
i want a working 2.3.x rom (or maybe a 4.x rom, but those might all lack of camera, so rather the other one), which has everything working and is multilanguage and working with safestrap 1.8. (or otherwise a link to how to update my safestrap.
thanks in advance.

I am using a droid 3 XT862 at the moment from USA Verizon.
I did have a Bell XT860 from Canada till i had it stolen 2 weeks ago.
I attached a zip with the proper safestrap version 3.05 made specifically for the droid 3 (XT860 and XT862)
unzip the .apk file from the zip. and the easiest method (for me) to install it is to copy it onto your phone (i would copy it onto the phones sd card, and then while the phone is powered on, just find the file with your file explorer app on your phone, and click it to install.
Remember you need to be rooted for it to work.
I would also probably uninstall the older version of safestrap before you install the new one..
then once its installed, open it, grant it root access, and select the install recovery option.
NOTE: i think this must be done from your stock rom.. and you can probably backup your other roms to reinstall in the new safestrap, but if it was up to me, i would probably boot into the stock original phones rom, be sure you are rooted, uninstall the old safestrap, and install the new one.
I am somewhat new to all this also, but i have been playing around for a while now so learning lots.
I hope this works, otherwise let me know what problems come up, and i will try to help as much as i can. or maybe others will provide some input.
I hope my attachment works for you to download. if not let me know

well, thanks to this, i now have a new recovery (worked pretty easy., now i see, what's meant with thiese rom-slots. So now I'm just running and figure out a rom that works well.
(wlan, phone, data/3g, camera, keyboard and german language, so i'll just test and try.
well, it somehow didn't help_ i now can create a rom in romslot 1 or 3 but neither liberty's nor avatar's roms boot for me
so now i have a newer recovery, but still no working rom. can anyone help me?
is there even a rom which supports gsm/umts here in germany?
no problem. im glad it helped.
I have been installing all the steeldroid roms, and a few like minimoto, and some jb ones.. just to see what works and what doesnt.

just noticed your response.. after i posted my last message. anyway
those also did not work on my old xt860 either.
what did work was minimoto (the xt860 version), aswell as a couple of the steeldroids (5.5, and 5.6 oc, and 5.0)
and dont worry if you dont get any data, or cell service to start. just get the rom to boot up proper, and then i can help you with your apn settings as well as getting your wireless radio to work.
first things first.. to try to get a working rom.. cuz my needs were the same as yours. and i got them all working except the ones you already tried.
i am chatr wireless which is also gsm/umts

well, after updating the recovery, i managed to find the maverick 4.5 rom over on droidforums and installed that, as it came shipped with mav 4.0 and seemed ok,
Calling seems to work now, except the phone still sometimes tells "invalid sim card" and no signal, but is capable of calling. strange ? Sometimes, a switch between global and umts/gsm zone and also a switch gsm only and both manages to get a signal. (vodafone.de using) i have not tried further on data, but the menu is accessible.
so far, for me the maverick 4.5 ist the most stable one.
a smal question besides: how can i find out, if the phone has a simlock on? (i tried an o2-sim, which was completely not detected (and said to be not unlocked for this network). and if it's locked, how can i unlock?
update: after trying around today, i found out: (maverick 4.5)
apn-setting can be added, but are not stored/saved. so there is no possiblity of creating an apn.
the "invalid sim card" message is still, BUT the calling works (the "phono"-app does not show the own number, but shows signal and provider)

[Q] Working LG Thrill ROMs

I have an AT&T (US) phone - rooted, with CM7 for LG Optimus 3D (P920 instead of P925) running on it - apparently the LG Thrill CM7 ROM doesn't work if you'd previously upgraded to AT&T's official Gingerbread ROM.
Now, the CM7 ROM for P920 has a major echo issue - I cannot talk on conference calls at all without an echo. Also, mute doesn't seem to work.
I'd like to go to a better ROM, or even to stock - but I didn't make a backup (yes, really really stupid of me). I've tried the stock Gingerbread ROM on AcidHazard's site (provided to go back to stock) - that seems to work, but most text is missing - font problem maybe, but I don't know how to fix it.
I've tried the Biohazard ROM itself, and it never booted.
Apparently CM10 milestone/nightly for the Optimus should work on my LG Thrill, but before I do so - has anyone tried this? With what results? Alternately, any other ROM I can try?
I've not been able to upgrade to ICS using the LG support tool - hangs at 4% and all workarounds listed on the internet don't work for me. I do have the official kdz file - backed it up when the LG tool downloaded it - but the LG flash tool isn't able to detect my phone.
I know - this question is asked lots, and I feel stupid asking it - but I've tried most everything that google search threw up, without success. I still have clockworkmod recovery installed, so I can copy ROMs to my sdcard and flash them. Suggestions, please?!
For v28B ICS with root and custom recovery

Just don't install the custom ROM and you will have v28B.

The first line in that guide says I need to be on ICS already - I am on gingerbread (or am I misunderstanding something?).
That line is there so people don't skip from GB to installing the custom ROM in recovery (that would give you a brick). The guide tells how update to ICS first.
I'll try out those steps, though the virus check disabling sets off too many alarm bells.
Before I do that really long procedure though, any other ROMs that people have good experience with?
Sent from my LG-P920 using xda app-developers app
I mainly put that because Defender was deleting the driver file without my knowledge and it was corrupting LG Flash Tool for some people.
Question: the kdz tool says phone not found. Is that the same issue the webserver and 127.0.0.1 address, or am I looking at some other issue before the HTTP issue?

Recovering LG Thrill from CM7 to stock - an easy guide.

I recently rooted my LG Thrill (US AT&T) and installed CM7 on it. I didn't backup the original image. The CM7 image had major issues with echo, and not receiving calls. I managed to get back to the stock image after a lot of varied attempts - documenting my experience here in case someone else is facing the same problem.
1. Install the stock, rooted gingerbread image from acidhazard's site. Cannot post links - our firewall doesn't allow access to the site. This image cannot be used because the fonts are totally messed up, though the calls seem to be fine.
2. Follow AT&T and LG's instructions on upgrading to ICS using LG's support tool (this did not work unless the phone had a stock image). Make sure you remove the external SD card.
That's about it. Since the support tool was able to talk to the process on the stock, rooted image the upgrade succeeded. I won't document the various attempts I made to directly flash the kdz file directly - suffice to say, they didn't work.
I lost root after upgrading to the stock ICS - I might try to regain that just to remove AT&T's default installed apps which are just a waste of space and memory. But I'll do a lot more research before that
