Hey Guys,
I have no idea what the issue is with this. I'm running CM 10.2.
Baseband: 9x15A-ACEFWMAZQ-30110057-39
I have tried flashing the baseband from 10.3.1.A.2.67 (9x15A-ACEFWMAZQ-30110068-44) and 10.3.1.A.2.74 (9x15A-ACEFWMAZQ-30110068-47) via FlashTool, and always says successful, but when I go to Settings > About Phone, the Baseband Version always reports 9x15A-ACEFWMAZQ-30110057-39.
Any ideas?
Nothing wrong, only the about phone is incorrect but the baseband has been changed, cause flashing baseband doesn't change the system files related.

Ah right, too easy. Know which files need editing?
maybe changing build.prop
from: ro.build.fingerprint=Sony/C6603_1270-6697/C6603:4.2.2/10.3.A.0.423/WP5_rg:user/release-keys
to: ro.build.fingerprint=Sony/C6603_1270-6697/C6603:4.2.2/10.3.1.A.2.74/WP5_rg:user/release-keys
Or decompile the System-UI.apk and change it.
Sorry i don't know.

Not likely. Unfortunately CM for Odin and Yuga specifically is somewhat behind other phones and most of the nightlies only contain generic CM/AOSP updates. I think the ROM libs etc. are still based on 423. A thorough Odin/Yuga update would be welcome.
My own CM builds for Odin does show 44, the official nightlies don't, for interest.
The baseband needs to have updated RIL files in /system/lib to reflect the radio being used.
In any case, I'm not sure why you are bothered by the fact that CM displays 39 in lieu of 44 or later. There is no tangible difference, and it is just text...
You need to update etc/firmware folder i can upload flashable zip but dont know if it will works on Cm..
Its still useless no matter what it displays in about phone..basseband is still changed

On Xperia 2011 line-up, you could change baseband after flashing proper BB libs in recovery. First flash baseband in flashtool, then flash proper libs in recovery.
This should be the same on the Z, if it can be done right. I can look into it?

Flash it! Its a .zip, no renaming or fastboot needed.
Im curious as of now if there is a way of going back to the .33 radio if this ends up making my service worst for some reason. I just got my phone today and might rock .33 a few days to get a feel before upgrading

Ok new radio zips updated with a properly patched modem file. These can be flashed over any baseband and can be used in fastboot.

It does not.
Bootloader only zip did not seem to actually update the bootloader. Still says MAKO10l after flashing.

Hallo community
Im using Paranoid build 10 with pimp my rom
everthing is fine. PimpmyRom is a great mod but i still have some proble3ms.
I cant install bravia engine and pimpmybeats. CWM starts but didnt flash.
error. cant flash aborted status 0.....
i even cant flash manually.
i tried cwm und twrp before

Does manual flash also tell you the same?
If so then you have a corrupted zip.
And the auto flashing also does not take in my device also. I think that it is also a common problem.

Still same error. i downloaded this app from play store . the same error with bravia engine and the other .zip files

A status 0 error is probably a problem with the update-binary file in the zip you're trying to flash. Replace it with one from a zip you know works and that should fix your problem.

Just be informed that ...370 firmware makes tablet reboot when one tries to navigate /system (mounted r/w) in Root Explorer.

I've got Polish 370 and BT works fine.
SGP311 + Tapatalk 4
DJ-Tumor: I have a European version of Tablet Z. Originally, it came with .344 firmware which I rooted using some method floating around this forum. Then the update to .370 came. First, I installed OTA RootKeeper as advised by someone and made a backup of the root. Then I simply updated the tablet using the built-in Sony's Software update app.
After reboot, the system was still rooted. I am not sure if root survived the update or RootKeeper did it (I am not really familiar with the application). Nevertheless, I now have .370 rooted system and can verify that Bluetooth works fine (I just tried it and it discovered two BT device).
I have the 16GB model SGP311.
Good for you guys....but I still can´t update (Update impossible it says even though I ONLY ROOTED IT).
But what I wanted and seemingly no one understood... I NEED EUROPEAN FIRMWARE 344.
I have a feeling that it´s the Japan firmware why my tablet has infunctional Bluetooth.
I was trying to modify the stock 244 rom using kitchen.I built the zip successfully but when flashing i always get a status 0 error.I know that the error is because of the updater script but i dont know how to modify it for my xperia z.I am new to this so someone please help me to successfully build the rom.
anyone willing to help?
Download a Rom and have a look at their updater script. Then modify yours as required.

I tried that.It seems I have to add c6602 support in kitchen edify folder. Can you help me?I tried some links without success
Status 0 errors are usually caused by an incompatible update-binary.
Try replacing the update-binary in your zip with one from a zip you know works on your phone.

I don't mean the update-script, I mean the update-binary. All the script does is tell the recovery what files to replace.
Bricking your phone depends on what you're trying to change. Generally you can only do it by flashing a wrong kernel.

Yep. After you build with kitchen or whatever, simply substitute update binary from Meta Inf blah blah, from the Cm10 of your device to your own zip.

I guess we can create flashable zip from ftf only, cause not all system files gets updated through ota.
Sent from my C5502 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
is the flashable zip already pre-rooted? I mean, if I flash it, will I lose root privileges? I am currently on .244 firmware and rooted and I am just worried that if I flash this, I may lose root.
make a nandroid backup before trying it out. it's just what you get from an OTA flash which retains all user data, so I reckon it does nothing to root
