Yes read the basic faqs and guides you may need to change the modem .That is it must be an I9305 rom not I9300

Hi everyone,
Sorry if this question had been asked many times before but I cannot find the answer.
I have a Galaxy Note from Telus (model I-717D) and I want to root and flash custom rom on it. The problem is I'm not sure if the method by dr.ketan will work for my carrier branded phone :

And one last question, will custom roms in Android Dev section work on my note ? Or do they only work for the international version GT-N7000 ?
Many thanks.

Your NOTE is not compatible with anything here in this forum. You need to search the ATT NOTE Thread as your device is related to that device.
DO NOT FLASH ANYTHING FROM HERE OR YOU WILL KILL YOUR DEVICE!!! This includes the Rooting Procedure, etc...

Hey guys i know this is a pretty noob question but im at a loss. Which firmware do i need to get for my galaxy mini s5570 for it to work in Australia and start in English after restoring? I have already flashed it many times with other firmware so the original region code is gone. I have unlocked the phone but it was a boost/optus locked phone in Australia. So which firmware do i need (2.3.6 preferred) for my region?

Hi, my phone is a Galaxy Ace 5830L (bought on Chile, latin america) and I want to know if I can safely use the regular 5830 roms or not, or wich one is suitable if any.
Thanks!
yes you can, but remember to flash the modem of your region if you change the stock rom
Thread moved to Q & A, post in the relevant section next time.

Need your help to avoid damage my S3 LTE.
I have in past a Sony XPERIA and to flash room or any mods I need previous to unlock my bootloader to do that (phone was locked to carrier).
Now that I have a S3 LTE:
I need also to unlock previously S3 LTE bootloader to flash customized rooms or/and mods?
Or just to install a recovery, root and install what I want (customized room or/and mods)?
Note: my S3 is branded phone so I believe is locked to the carrier (TMN Portugal).
I really appreciate your comments and help.
Regards

Hey guys, I just got a galaxy s3 4g from vodafone and I need some help with rooting since it seems there might be a difference in things i need to flash depending on the model
Mine is GT-I9305T (I see a lot of people saying it's Telstra? but I got this from vodafone.. not sure if that is significant)
So can someone help me with rooting the GT-I9305T

I have the same phone, GT-9305T from Vodaphone & flashed the Galaxyrom ver 4.1.2. Had problems with an earlier Galaxyrom 4.3, Ver 12.1 but Camera app has problem There are fixes available but haven't tried yet. Will try again with later release but for the moment I'm happy with 4.1.2.
Everything works & Aussie Developer so feel more confident that the rom will fit aussie phones.
