1) Yes it needs a deodexed rom, it says so in the instructions (Please read them)
2) To install a deodexed rom, find one in the dev section and read the instructions on how to install it
3) No need for unloacked bootloader. (Please read post 2 of the all in one thread. Its the first thread in this section)
4) No idea, you need to decide which rom is best for your phone yourself.

There is a flashable de odex available for tx in the themes and apps section. Use that. Make a a backup of your data in CWM and titanium backup before proceeding.

I read this:

What does he mean about flashing it to Gingerbread ROMs? I'd appreciate the help.
And is getting the stock ROM as simple as downloading it and then flashing it with CWM? and will i need to update it to the latest basebands or is there one already updates that's available?
Thanks

It's is highly advisable to be on stock ROM. Just flash it via PCC/SEUS. Why this is required , I don't know. But always people recommend unlocking on stock ROM. I too would therefore recommend the same. Get back to stock ROM
Don't risk it by unlocking on GDx v025
What he means that the kernel is meant for ICS ROMS only and is NOT meant for GB or stock ROMS
Another thing
So...
1) Flash Stock Rom using SEUS (will this be the one with the latest baseband and will my phone still be rooted?)
2) Unlock Bootloader while on Stock Rom (as stated here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1436957)
3) Flash ICS kernel while on Stock Rom (as stated here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=24304432)
4) Flash MiniCM9 (as stated here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1575094)
Am i right?
Also, is it necessary to install all to Google Apps which nAa has provided a link to?
And where does the currently rooted state of my phone lie in all of this?
Thanks

Not sure about SEUS , but if you use PCC , your phone gets unrooted.
I guess both ways, you have to root again. But that's not a cumbersome task. Just use superoneclick and then place xrecovery files in /system/bin
Just make sure that after flashing the kernel , you flash the ROM directly after it. If you reboot your phone after flashing the kernel , you will encounter a soft brick.
It is not necessary , but recommended. I would suggest that you flash Gapps (Google Apps) , and then manually remove the applications you do not want by using apps like "Root Uninstaller" from the Play Store.
I did not understand your last question.
I am 99.999% sure of what all I told you is correct. However , since I have a locked bootloader , I might have missed somewhere (I'm sure I have not though)
I unlocked my 11w18 with GDX , no problems

Yes, you can. You need to install the different zips (I remember three packages from eybee) in recovery.
Follow the instructions in eybee's thread. Please make a backup of your system in recovery first - if something goes wrong, you can restore it.
thanks
thanks thaidai for prompt reply

i relocked my bootloader now so i cant use any nonstock kernel...
But i think , for now, only the stock kernel can make the best use of the 1.67FW
check this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=42122157&postcount=102
now the stock kernel can make the ram be used over 90%, and wont kill the background apps
a stock kernel with dual recoverys has been created.

If its deodexed its probably already rooted.

While on GB you cannot install any kernel from recovery.. only using Odin. . You have to be either on ICS or JB to be able to follow Philz kernel install steps.

KK cannot be installed using Odin as its a custom rom.. As you are on JB, root it using one of the Philz kernels matching your rom build number (post 3 or Philz thread TW).. The flash raw r4 kernel, boot into its recovery and then flash KK roms.

Please kindly just reply by answering the specifically asked question regarding the kit kat rom.
I am in a confused state as i can see there are a huge amount of ROMs available many are nightly made, which say them to be not in a stable state.
Found the SlimKat in the forum ,downloading the ROM SlimSaber-n7000-4.4.2-20140531.zip 139mb
Installation instructions..
Download the latest build from [here]
Gapps ( if you don't have it already) from [here]
!Recommended! Full wipe, and manual format /system
Flash ROM and the gapps you want, reboot
Maybe a silly question but ,Do i need to download the gapps files & why ??

This is a development forum. It is not expected that you are a developer but it would be a sign of respect to read their threads and follow their instructions - they spent a lot of their time writing them. And if you not understand then try to use the search.

Not one of these questions show anything of this:
the first is part of the installation instructions.
the second can be found with the search (and was answered thousands of times)
the third is simply against XDA rules
To flash a kitkat rom, the recovery needs to be compatible with SE linux.
The recovery is part of a kernel
To flash a kitkat rom you need to flash a recent kernel first.
Try flashing raw kernel r4,r5, or Forest-CM11. it does not matter that they are incompatible with your current or future roms, they will get overwritten when you flash a rom (roms include kernels).
Then reboot recovery or restart phone and enter recovery again.
Then you wipe cache, data, and system.
Then flash the kitkat rom of choice.

If you are following the guide, the custom kernel was intended to give you an access to a recovery. Once you flashed the ROM zip the custom kernel will be gone and you will be running the kernel that was packaged with the custom ROM that you have chose to flash.
