Usb-otg and twrp 2.6.3.0 - Sprint HTC One (M7)

Has anybody gotten theirs to mount in recovery? I've tried three different thumb drives all formatted in fat32 but it doesn't mount.

Apparently you have to have a powered OTG device, which requires having a Y-splitter for power, AND you need a recovery kernel that supports OTG. I know one has been made for TWRP 2.6.3.0 for the Nexus 4.
I don't know if anyone has ported this to the HTC One. My search of XDA led me to your question...

It's broke in the latest version. It worked before. I moved to cwm because of this.

I've been trying to do basically the same thing, but I've got CWM and it's just not recognizing the drives at all

Borked for me as well on the new version. Not much of an upgrade if you ask me, been borked for months. I have to use the new version though because I just updated my radios & touch panel firmware.

HTC Vivid SD Card?

Hey Guys, a friend of mine has a HTC vivid and his SD card was fine until he started installing roms. He currently has Pacman rom and his SD card will not mount anymore. It mounted previously before he flashed the rom but now it doesn't.

Get rid of it for TWRP
Once you got that... if you reboot to recovery and turn on USB mounts... then connect it to the PC... it will work... has for everyone else

If you would listen instead of being a **** to ppl you would have seen some including me have told you to try formatting it using twrp recovery and see if it mounts. Don't come here demanding help. Use the search and see if its happened before too

For the record..and even tho I get the feeling there's a troll in our midst..I'll offer one piece of advice: the PAC ROM has had the SD mount issue fixed for awhile now. My recommendation? Flash the PAC ROM.. then go be happy. Being rude won't get you any positive feedback in these forums. You take all responsibility when using software found on xda. If you don't fully understand what's happening..use Google and read..read..read.. and if that doesn't shed any light for you on the subject..maybe custom ROMs are something you should just not try to mess with.

Hey MG, thanks for the advice. I had the same problem earlier today, and tried TWRP. Fixed it right up. I finally got brave enough to root and rom my HTC Vivid yesterday, and between SD Card Problems and Wi-Fi problems I had begun to think I'd made the wrong choice. I've rooted and rom'ed phones before, but almost never my daily driver. This was my daily driver, so again thanks! And OP the link for TWRP is teamw.in/project/twrp go there have your friend follow instructions precisely, and all will be ok. And friend... chill... it's nothing to get po'ed about. As a note the fastboot was the easiest method for me... and quicker too. If you don't know about fast boot look around on the forums and there's some great info about it. Cheers!:highfive:
btw sorry for no direct links... I'm still an XDA Forum Noob

Internal SD card doesn't mount

I flashed a new rom* today and everything works great except for the internal sd card not able to mount.
Ask what more information you need.

Not really a helpful response.. I'm quite aware it says that, as I've already stated that in my original post. Once I have flashed the rom and other file, do I flash the boot.img file before or after restarting the phone?

Internal SD Card recognized but will not mount!
Hey,
I recently rooted my HTC Vivid (ATT) and installed CyanogenMod version 10-20131006-NIGHTLY-holiday. Everything works fine but I cant get the internal sd card to mount. There is an option in the storage setting that say "mount internal sd card." When I press that it appears as if it is mounting then it Apps, Pictures, videos, Audio(music, ringtone..... etc. Almost right after you press that it goes back to the mount sd card button. I have flashed the boot.img, used the terminal emulator and still have the same problem! I would really really (and just to drive it home) REALLY appreciate it if someone would help me with this!
If you need more info or would like to contact me to help me just email me at [email protected]
You can also just message me here if you wish.
Lemme guess... You're using CWM...
If not... I bet you factory reset from hboot

so when you boot to recovery, what does it say? Is it TWRP, CWM, WCX?
In all likelihood, you've lost the data on your internal storage. Rignfool has posted a fix for this issue countless times, and a quick forum search should come up with a topic where he outlines how to fix it. It involves mounting your phone via the recovery, and letting your windows computer fix/format the internal SD.

Its WCX. Sorry to be so naive but I looked and could not find Regnfool's post. Could you send a link to a few of them? I dont know if this helps but what I want to fix is the apps that use the sd card. Some apps that I know stored info on the sd card on my stock rom will work but are reset after I am finished using them. So bassically apps with save data half work due to this issue. Once again this is the first time I have ever rooted and installed a ROM so im a "rookie" just needing help.

Not a problem! It's an issue a lot of people (including me) have run into while doing stuff. Just count yourself lucky your charge port was working! (mine was not at the time, and was much more of a headache).

GPe HTC one Convert Issues

I would say my convert to GPe is perfect. I have found some issues. First, when i drop the audio folder to the root of the "sdcard" it goes like this: root_of_SD/audio/ringtones and root_of_SD/audio/alarms root_of_SD/audio/notifications and i used it this way on stock nexus devices, CM 10.1 nexus and non nexus devices and a completely stock HTC one and it worked after reboot, the tones were available for selection. It doesnt work on this GPe. Second is if i have confirmed root, using android terminal emulator and doing an su to root and accepting the super user screen to always accept, i type "reboot" and it says not allowed or something to that affect, i installed a root app i have used before called reboot control, gave it always allow root, hit reboot or shutdown and it never does anything. Am i crazy?
bump. Anyone?

I have been running the conversion for weeks and and I have not experienced any of this.
I may have to titanium my apps and run the RUU again. This is killing me. Also USB otg is fine. But with paragon app for ntfs it does not work.

Fixed permissions via recovery. Still nothing. Checked permissions on reboot in system bin and they are sqq. Tries busy box smart install vs normal. No luck. Busybox reboot no worky either.

Reflashed RUU same issues.

Help! CM 9/6 Nightly trouble

So I think I'm in trouble.
I guess I must have downloaded the 9/6 nightly RIGHT before they fixed the boot animation bug, so it won't boot, I don't have any other nightly zips on my phone, my computer won't recognize my device so I can't put another one on it. I've been looking up solutions and I'm seeing this stuff about ADB transfers but it says you have to enable USB de-bugging and I don't think I did before and I can't do it now. I'm a noob, but I can follow directions (lol), anybody got another way to file transfer? Or just maybe get my computer to recognize my phone?
Thanks in advance...I'm probably going to stop tinkering if/once this is back to normal.

Sorry to hear that. He must have gotten to recovery somehow and wiped everything. The easiest way is to flash a new rom from usb storage, much easier than sideloading (need drivers, etc). And next time better add a lock code [emoji6]
