Why would you do this?!?
But in all seriousness this thread will probably be closed. Unless trading is not tantamount to selling.

I love the amoled screen on the moto x, I need a better camera better battery life. I know on paper the htc one is faster but to me the moto x just feels smoother,
If shouldnt be taken down because trading has nothing to do with sales!

Well seeing as this is a forum for the HTC One I doubt you'll get any takers. Try the Moto X forum.

Selling my phone

Hey guys, I decided that I am going to sell my phone 6 months before my contract ends and get something better.
Since this is only for 6 months, I can't decide between One X and S3, I know S3 is better as a phone but One X is so much nicer and as I said since this is only for these 6 months I don't know what to do.
Which one would you pick?

Yup! 2.17 update already boost the HOX so much.. and.. HOX already powerfull as HOX+, all the htc upgrade already comes for HOX along time ago.. just the front camera Can't beat the HOX+.. I got no interest on HOX+ after hamdir confirm what we have now on HOX is the same upgrade HTC do for HOX+.. xda dev is better than HTC dev.. See the score, all in stock..

Thanks guys, phone is on ebay for sale now. Hopefully it will sell and I will get my hands on One X later this week!
SXL is now sold and One X ordered. It's such a shame that I had to switch from this great phone, but lack of developers is that pulled me to the One X side. I'll stay active here and I'll try to get those lazy One X developers to come and do some SXL roms!

What colors did you pick!!!

I just ordered my Moto X! Super pumped!
I went with white face, blue back and the orange trim. I'm a Hugh Broncos fan, so match up pretty well. I have to say having the option to chose so much makes this phone so much better. I'll post picks on Monday once I get it!! Can't wait.
Color choices, and if you want why?

Nice to see another Canadian in the forum getting one. I reserved one through Rogers and should be getting it on Monday or Tuesday.
Anyway I went with the black one since we're restricted to either black or white.

I'm probably not going to get a Moto X but if I did I'd totally get some sort of wood flavor. The phone is absolutely gorgeous with a wood back either dark or light. It's so temping though. I'm trying to hold out for either the LG G2 or maybe a Note 3. idk. I have a Optimus G Pro and totally love the large screen. I've also been playing with a S4 Active but I don't think I could go back to anything smaller than 5" screen. But ya... if i did... WOOD!
White. All white. The only other colour available in the Great WHITE North here (either Black or White).
For those of you that have one already, is there a noticeable raised edge around the glass? Or is the whole front of the phone flush and smooth?
wait how the heeellllssss are you guys getting your X's? Did anybody from USA already get it? and how are you guys using the moto maker tool?

Trade for new Moto x or no?

Is it a good trade?
32gb HTC one with some scuffs on metal, for a brand new white 16gb Moto x and he will include a pair of speakers (I'm sure they're cheap )

If your Htc One is in good condition except for those scuffs, imo this is not a good deal.
#firstworldproblems. do as you wish, there's no benefit to acting one way over the other. although you might want to think about getting a case for your htc one. that would be a reasonable investment.
main draws to the moto X are its pricepoint (doesn't matter since this is a trade), and fast updates from google. put a GPE RUU on your htc one, and you're facing a comparative few weeks delay to get updates (nothing major imo).
Moto x sucks imo....
Screw that
So consensus is that the HTC is better?

Moto x future proof ?

I want to buy moto x and am wondering with although fantastic x8 processor does moto x is future proof for at least 2 years? Or should I go for nexus 5 which is more future proof? How about touchless control? One of the main factors I am buying is because of that

May i know what you mean by FUTURE PROOF?
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda app-developers app
Some people still use 3 or 4 year old devices. My S2 still works fine.
If you're a hardcore cutting edge gamer....then you'll maybe need a phone every year or less....but the moto x can do anything any other device can do now, and probably still will 3 years from now.
But ultimately its your research and decision that matters, not any of us. We all have different needs and expectations.
Motorola will probably keep the software updated until Jan/Feb 2015. After that, who knows?

I agree with @nijom, define "future proof".. The X is as "future proof" as any other android device where the carrier has the final say in the updates being pushed to the device.
Unless you get a developer edition X which can be bootloader unlocked, and you can flash custom roms to it. Although options for 3rd party roms are relatively few at the moment, and you'd lose the Moto specific features which make the X so popular.
