No IMEI no backup.

Hi everyone,
I recently got a i9000 that was on icm via devils kernel. I did a factory reset on the device and think this corrupted the EFS folder as i was given the generic IMEI and had no signal. I flashed back to a stock GB 2.3.5 and managed to get my own IMEI back on the phone. I still however have no signal so wondered what to do next?
Thanks

Signal Problem

Hello ,
I recently root my phone with the help of this guide : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1660419.
After that I try to install 2 different custom roms (JellyBean- I was on 2.3.6 before root) via TWRP recovery. I mange to install the roms but I have the same problem.
The phone boots normal, ask me to insert sim card pass but it never finds the signal. So I can not use my phone as phone
It doesn't show me any message just No signal at all.
Can anyone help me please?
Thank you in advance

Radio, it is modem.tar.md5?
@sxizofrano open firmware with WINRAR, and you will find it there. If you want to flash just it, remove md5 extension and remove all other files. Flash just that. But I think that will not solve the problem. Because you flash it with whole firmware...

Flashed Germany 4.3 Stuck on Samsung Screen

Hello Guys i flashed the Germany Version of 4.3 lte last night and in doing so i have Temporarily killed my Phone.
I have tried all the Recoveries processes via Kies and Odin and i am having no luck.
I think the reason why it won't flash is because the Germany 4.3 is a Newer Version than the Stock 4.1.2.
When i'm in Odin i get sboot.bin Fail when trying to Flash the Latest Stock rom. I am able to Flash the Germany 4.3 again and that flashes but then the Phone Stays on the Samsung Flash Screen.
Could someone please Help? I have been on with this for Hours now. I think what i need is a 4.3 Version of any rom in Odin .tar format so i can at least get the phone to boot up and then maybe i can get CWM Recovery on there and flash a Stock rom that way.
Thanks in Advance
You have to remove sboot.bin and tz.bin when downgrading. Be careful, downgrading will give you Knox warranty void 0x1!

THE kies frimware intilition doesnt work as you have 4.3 bootloader and knox blocks older boot loader
dont worry when 4.3 becomes available in your area it wont have to downgrade and ultimately this method will work but still things are looking pretty bad dor the intermediatory days.
PS is ther anyway to restore baseband imei without any backup

5. Create a thread or post a message only once.
As a large forum, we don't need unnecessary clutter. You're free to edit your message as you like, so if you do not receive an answer, revisit your message and see if you can describe your problem better. Not everyone is online at the same time so it might take a while before you receive an answer. (Also refer to Rule 16)
Finally
I am so feeling sucessful right now although i didnt got 4.3 but i was sucessful in getting my imei and baseband and network back.:good:
Sorry for the late response but when you get stuck on the Samsung boot screen all you have to do is boot into Recovery and do a Factory Reset and Wipe Cache.
Another thing to remember is to flash the modem for your country otherwise you might accidently disable some frequencies and enable other useless ones.

Did you flash the right modem too? It worked for me and i was using a i9305T. All i did was flash the latest modem (from the brand of phone i have which is Telstra) and did a wipe data and wipe cache.

Try to install the Baseband separately via recovery.

You have to do flash these things before you flash a custom ROM. Go back to stock ROM and restore your backed up folders to avoid a corrupt modemfs or efs folder or maybe a soft brick.
Note : be careful if you do something with your EFS folder. You need this folder for calling, receive SMS, internet, WiFi, Bluetooth, IMEI and serial number.
