This is a custom kernel based on LG D802 source.
More features will be added soon.
Features:
* Compiled with Linaro toolchain 4.8.2
The kernel isn't pre lokified so it needs a recovery that has built-in loki support (for now you can use my twrp build):

I'm guessing this doesn't work on the Verizon version right? But either way I love that people are liking this phone.
Thank you
I just dumped an emmc of the D803 kernel off my device. If I upload it, could you maybe take a look and see if there are any glaring differences? Maybe it is just a few changes to allow it to work?
Coming from a nexus 4,my biggest problem is there is literally no dev support. Thanks for taking a step towards dev

I'm guessing the hardware is nearly identical on all G2 versions except the korean one.
But yes, if you could provide a boot.img (and aboot.img for loki support) from a different device version i could check for compatiblity.
You have added algin novelty to the kernel, everything works correctly.
Great job, encourage and forth ....
Thanks for the development
Sorry by my english!!!
Here is a boot.img for the D800, which is ATT version. Is this what you needed or do I need to do something special to it?

Not Working
This is not working on D802 for me. If it helps, I have a D802B.
I tried on both TWRP 2.6.3.0 and TWRP 2.6.3.2, both show a boot error due to certificate verify. Bummer! Was stoked to have a custom kernel finally!
@Heatshiver
This is (for now) only working with a recovery that has built-on loki support; as the provided kernel needs to patched on the flashing process.
It must show something like:
[+] Detected target International LG G2 build D802b
[+] Loki validation passed, flashing image.
[+] Loki flashing complete!

I am confused then. As I used your recovery and another without success... I simply rebooted into recovery, flashed the zip, then rebooted. Is there a step I'm missing?
@Heatshiver
I updated my recovery a day ago, maybe u are using an older version that has no loki support yet.

Thank you for your effort and I hope this kernel will do amazing job to this awesome devise..

No, this won't work on "my" version. Please go the download link on his thread to use it.
@Wootever that was exactly the issue. Any chance you can update thread with what features/benefits this kernel provides over stock?
There isn't much added yet. However im planning to clean up the code base a bit and merge it with the latest caf msm8974 revision (qualcomm kernel repository), then i will add more features from faux kernel (fauxsound, intellidemand, uv/oc, etc).
Nice to see that some dev is working for D802. Damn LG too many variants

A little over the top...maybe. But I don't blame him for feeling that way, it's annoying when people constantly complain about no dev support when a) they don't step up to the plate and do it themselves, or b) they have no idea if there is actually devs or not (which we have a good amount of even though they are fully active on the thread yet, cooking a Rom doesn't take two days you know ;-P).

OmniROM for SPH-L720 (jfltespr)
Unofficial 4.3. Base
OmniROM is a new ROM on the scene and so there have been requests to get it for the Sprint S4.
At the time of OP I am accomplishing a port by heavily relying on CM hardware, build, external and system folders.
But as my S4 is no longer available for testing I must ask for testers - hence the alpha tag.
Link to OmniROM site:

http://www.rwilco12.com/downloads.p...amsung Galaxy S4 (SPH-L720)/AOSP ROMs/OmniROM
Latest Build: Initial (10/20/2013)
Update: I abandoned this route and am working on @jakew02's modifications. He made some changes and I'm hoping they'll be pushed soon so I can build off of that.
Otherwise I'll start patching the missing objects this weekend and hope to get closer.
Changelog: None yet since initial
Screenshots: None yet... stay tuned.
Flash Instructions:
1) Back up your current system and all data if desired.
2) In your favorite custom recovery, wipe data, cache and dalvik.
If you want to flash the ZIP version you'll need to format system as well.
3) TAR - Boot to Odin Mode and flash via Odin.
ZIP - Flash ZIP in recovery
4) Flash GApps
Thanks to:
CM Team, especially Noobnl for the S4 bringup and device maintenance as well as the source used for this port.
OmniROM for their source.
What exactly is the difference between this and CM/AOSP?? I went to the website but saw no screenshots or really any relevant info such as features or anything lol.

I tried to flash with twrp and failed. Said something about binary, I think what cnexus mention. Also tried ChameleonOS got stuck on boot animation. Maybe didn't wait that long to boot, I only waited 3 min. But normally roms wont take to long to boot, at least not for me.

Also explains why I'm still getting stuck versus others.

Hallelujah!
After much hard work done by folks like @jakew02, it finally has built properly.
At this point it's not a patchwork of other stuff, only 2 changes outside of repos at the moment.
(And if this works I'll submit those to gerrit today.)
Check the folder in OP link for the new build.
Like last time, please report issues when flashing/booting.
If it doesn't boot, try KT's kernel instead of this one as we had similar problems with ChameleonOS at the moment:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2288309
Hopefully one of these will get a good result.
Thanks again for your patience!

Downloads: DracoKernel
You will see two folders "Normal ROMs" and "Alternate ROMs"
Use the normal one if you are running: CM, AOSB, Slim, or Beanstalk.
Use alternate if you are running: Carbon or Omni
Since PAC adds its own custom frameworks, it will have its own version.
If you flash the wrong one, you will be stuck on the bootanimation. Easy fix, just go flash the other one.
Installation:
Flash in recovery.
Then flash SuperSU
Goals of this kernel:
The objective of this kernel is to have a kernel for daily use. It does not aim for best battery life, or best smoothness or best benchmark scores. It aims more for a good mix of all, not sacrificing stability and functionality in the end. With that being said, I am open to any suggestions and contributions, but I will only implement it in if it makes sense to me and does not hinder one's experience using this as a daily driver. Also, try to limit talk of benchmark scores because they do not accurately depict real life experience.

Yeah, I was planning to so flashable zips in the future. This first release is like a beta. I need to make sure all 3 variants work properly. You have the n5100 right? I heard from tejkkarani that it takes forever to boot so hold off on flashing for now. (Great if anyone else could confirm this) I'm going to take a look at it today.

I apologize for the inconvenience. Just realized that this kernel does not work on anything but PAC. Therefore, I will spend a lot more time testing before releasing again. Thread will be closed until further notice.
Thread re-opened. Figured out the problem faster than I initially expected. Downloads are up for the N5110. I have personally tested them on the ROMs we have. There are two different versions for now so please download the correct one. Enjoy!
FYI: N5100 builds will start shortly (approximately 12-24 hours from now or so), and N5120 will start a day or two after that.
Edit: N5100 should be ready now.
Using on CM 11 (cm-11-20140226-NIGHTLY-n5100.zip) .. not bootloop for me. Works perfectly. As I have installed it just now cant comment on the performance or battery life. Using GravityBox (KK) with Xposed Framework. Didnt face any issues yet.

Steel Droid - Now for the G2!
This is my first attempt at a ROM for the G2. I can build one from source, but wanted to try my hand at modding a stock OTA.
This ROM is based on the Verizon 24a OTA. That being said, you must be using a 24a bootstack for this to work.
This is a blended ROM. Kind of like what some of you might remember from my Droid 3 days. Mods, additions, bloat removal, and eventual theming.
I DO need some help with deodexing and odexing. If you want to lend some knowledge/files, PM me!
Changelog:
v1.0.9 (BETA)
* Removed SOME bloat from /system/app/
* Added xdabbeb's 3.1.0 Camera mod
* Added in my custom ad-blocking hosts file
* Optimized and compressed all audio files (ogg)
* USB autorun ISO removed

To all those having trouble downloading:
This is the only place I have right now that will let me upload a file over 500MB. I will eventually be getting my own website/hosting, but thats once I get my finances in place with enough extra to afford it. Im close, but not quite where I feel comfortable with it yet.
AFH just upgraded their severs, so things will be mirroring for a while until the system is back up to date. Sorry for it being slow, but its all I have right now
If this boots, there's a high chance I will begin to include Dorimanx's KK kernels in my releases. His kernel, combined with his STweaks app, is basically unbeatable. Wish it played nice with xdabbeb's ROM, but oh well. Maybe in time...

Is the ROM of this post is no longer valid?
I downloaded yesterday. However, there is now a file to download.

That's still fine, it's just the next one is more up-to-date and odex'd.
The build from yesterday was not odex'd.
Sorry for the inconvenience..
Sooo just read arch's post about this improovements and i am interested in testing this builds (liquid is my personal pick),however i am also interested in how did u build it since on his thread i read that there is 2 versions O2 and O3 so witch one did u use.Is there any stability issues or any other rom problems when u build it this way ?
BTW thank you for your effort to bring us this

Have you tried flashing a SU zip? Setting root perms to Apps and ADB? Setting auto response to Allow?installing SuperSU from playstore and using that to install/manage root? Google'd the problem to see if other devices had that issue? Did you try clean flashing? Did you try a custom kernel?
no?
Anyways, Omni is built Gonna build TWRP 2.7.1 whilst i have it synced anyways.. Don't know if Adam has or not already, links in OP for OmniRom.
Could you please try to build an AD cm11 official version?

Yeah sure thing guys, let me finish with initial PA and PAC, and then i will be able to build it! In the meantime, I built TWRP 2.7.1.0 both normal and MultiRom versions, but i'm not too sure if @Adam77Root is okay with me releasing those as he has the main thread kind of thing? I'll add to OP thou anyways but if you want me to remove i will ASAP!!
PA (AOSPA-LEGACY) is sync'd and building now thou
Normal AOSPA, like pure PA builds, but it has camera and Audio Issues /: Not sure which adds and removes i need, i followed the tutorial but it's outdated i think?

From JustArchi
"... O3 enables all O2 optimizations and some extra optimizations that like to increase code size and may, or may not, increase performance. ..."
So... increase performance or not? Did you test if it actually improve performance?

The thread has [TESTING] in the title for a reason
In all honesty, i can't tell if it does make a difference, but it's all down to the feel of the ROM...
O3 makes file bigger with chance of increased performance
O2 makes file smaller with chance or worse performance.
O3 is clear choice.
It's testing phase, you tell me if it's faster or slower
Dear Hideaway,
Can you post a flashable zip of TWRP? This will be helpful to some of us like me who don't have immediate access to PC.

No i can't be bothered haha
there is a great free Root app called Flashify hat allows flashing .img files on the device, search it up on the playstore, works with boot and recovery images, and it's working perfect on our p880
Here's the link if your still too lazy to search it up on play

Of Course i can mate, it's in the queue now, once PA's finished, it's gonna be Pac-Man, and then it's CyanogenMod Official, and then it will be Carbon for you mate
for those who want to install recovery without pc you can always use terminal emulator:
rename your image to TWRP_2.7.1.0.img and have it placed in Download folder
su
cat /sdcard/Download/TWRP_2.7.1.0.img >/dev/block/mmcblk0p1
sync
EDIT: Forgot the one in the end.
Should be fine now, sorry.

Download link is in OP
If anyones interested, i'm using this company until i find a free alternative: https://www.digitalocean.com/?refcode=1a1e82c1521c
Very good service
This is the stock kernel LRX22C but with @stratosk's Double Tap to Wake added.
Nothing else added or taken away
Only available for Nexus 4.
Only tested with stock ROM, others may not work.
Enable DT2W with Trickster Mod
Flash dt2w_boot.img in bootloader

Toolchain:-

Built on Ubuntu 14.04.1 LTS
Good effort. I think world seems to have forgotten s2w which was my favorite! And its not available in any modern kernels ( even if listed it doesn't work). Any works on that?

Thanks. I too liked @bponury's Slide to wake from Touch Control but the source isn't available anywhere. As far as I'm aware other versions of S2W had problems.
Can u also build a stock kernel but with gamma colors added only?
Would be greatful if u can have time to do that
Without DT2W or S2W only gamma colors from Faux or Franco..

Sorry but I'm not a developer, it took me ages to work out how to do this so I'm unlikely to do it again for a feature I never use. Would you be interested in a tutorial thread on the process I went through?
I would totally be interested in a tutorial, from building and configuring the kernel to add the dt2w feature.

It would be better to use the GCC 4.7 toolchain in that case because it is more optimised and is the one used in the actual stock kernel. Also, if you need help for your guide, I can help you.
Ok I'll do a 'Guide' thread and post a link here - it will take a few days. I'll have a look at using the suggested toolchain - thanks for the offer of help - I may need it.
i flashed this kernel and result in bootloop argggggggg now i have to flash this rom again n i m going to loose all my data
is there any thing i can do with it to avoid this
EDIT - problem solved i flashed rom without wiping data but this kernel is not working for me
I've only tested it with the stock ROM, which one are you using? I'll edit the op to include this.

I'm here to help you too
I faced the exact same situation that you faced while starting with the kernel. It's very very hard at first but once you get familiar with all the git, cherry-pick stuff, it will be so awesome. As @zaclimon suggested you can use the STOCK toolchain if you want to stay close to STOCK or you can use THIS toolchain(2014.12 4.9.3) and THIS COMMIT which ensures you will not run into any compile errors regarding toolchain.
