Hey XDA,
I just got my HTC One. When I tried to S-OFF it, I found that my cid didn't match any of the ones provided. Googling it showed that very few people had the same cid for HTC One as well. Any tips?
cid: GLOBA001
modelid: PN0713000
Thanks

Use revone for S-OFF. If your new to rooting don't do S-OFF, unlock the bootlaoder and play with some roms for a while first
Chech your hboot for see if you can acheive the s-off

Oh what for some reason I thought revone needed cid too..thank you! Ahaha I'm not new to rooting and stuff, I played around a lot with the HTC One V but there was never a S-OFF fix for the One V so this S-OFF thing is new to me. I just want to change my bootloader animation, I've already unlocked throught HTC Dev. Thank you!

You can if you've got hboot 1.44 but not with 1.54..... HTC closed the exploit with the updated firmware.
If you're s-off with 1.44 then upgrading the firmware won't lose you s-off.

Is it possible to downgrade your HBOOT? I'm guessing not but thought I'd ask! I also read everywhere that's its pretty risky and probably not worth it.

Even if you managed to once you rebooted the phone it would essentially brick, and to boot the new hboot you need to reboot.
Just going to have to wait

hmm okay. Then I'd suggest picking the RUU which matches the area you got it in. I for instance use Europe.
link to ruu's: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2428276
btw, I don't know which version you're running but you cannot downgrade without S-OFF.
So if you're running 2.24, and wanna go to 1.28, I'm sorry but impossible

Are you sure mid is 0710000 not 0711000? Maybe you can go to bootloader (POWER + volume down) and check if you have a M7_U or M7_UL model.
HTC__J15 (two underscores) is GCC as far as I know, but I've only come across 0711000 mid (not that I've seen many!!)
Also haven't seen any RUUs for this region. I have a stock CWM backup for 0711000 J15, but that's about it.
EDIT: are you s-off? If not try to get s-off (provided you're still on hboot 1.44) then you'll be able to use any RUU

Umm, why are you running the same thread again, this question has already been answered, there are no alternatives for your current HBOOT.

not without s-off, like I said in the other thread, pay or find someone who is willing to pay for you with a card or live with s-on, most of use had to do it.

No, sunshine is the only way to achieve s-off and no firewater won't work, it's officially discontinued and will not work anymore without the online resources it needed.
Sunshine s-off or stay s-on.
