I'd like to return to 4.1.2, but I have updated radio and firmware. Can anyone give me a link to the old firmware? How can I downgrade my firmware, the same way I updated it?
Edit: I finally found the old firmware. You need to be s-off in order to flash it. No need to flash RUU and relock/unlock bootloader
It contains firmware 3.04.651.2 radio and modems and touch panel driver.
Go to fastboot and rename it to Firmware
fastboot oem rebootRUU
fastboot flash zip Firmware
fastboot reboot-bootloader

First you will need to root, use Revone to gain S-Off with their tutorial in the Development Sections(All Steps Except For "-P" Command) and then you will be able to Downgrade Firmware through an RUU. If you are planning on staying stock then I suggest using Revone to also Lock the bootloader and remove tampered instead of having Relocked and Tampered on there. If not then just use Revone to remove tampered.

I am already s-off using revone. I was wondering if I could just flash the old firmware without flashing the whole ruu? After downgrading I will flash a custom rom. My question is where can I find the old firmware( without hboot in order not to loose s-off)?

You won't lose S-Off. RUUs do not mess with the Bootloaders Security Flag

When i bought my phone it had 1.31 on it. Its now unlocked and rooted running a 4.3 ROM. Can I use the 1.29 RUU to return to stock or do I need to wait for a 1.31 RUU? I tried searching but I'm still confused. I'd like to install 1.29 to gain s-off. Thanks in advance.
See here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2390821
S-Off using Revone and also use Revone to return bootloader to Locked and not Relocked or Tampered. Then you can run RUU to anything you want. Once you run RUU don't bother returning your device to S-On because in case you ever want to run a previous RUU again you can without issue until you return to S-On and at the same time you don't need root to return to S-On

Thanks for the quick replies. So revone will work on 1.31? Or do i have to follow the instructions in the link posted above? I thought I had to relock my bootloader then flash the 1.29 RUU to be able to use revone. One of the posters in the link above said he didn't have to downgrade from 1.31 to get s-off. My main reason for wanting s-off it to flash radios and firmwares. If i can use revone on 1.31 it would be much easier.
No, you do not need to downgrade from 1.31 to get S-Off using Revone. Just use the instructions in the Revone thread to get S-Off then use Revone to utilize the -t -l command to remove tampered and lock the bootloader instead of relocked and then run RUU. Flawless.

Thanks everyone. I tried revone with my phone running a 4.3 rom and it didnt work. I kept getting error 1 so I flashed ViperRom and went throught the steps again. I'm now s-off. Now I just need to learn how to flash the firmware and radios included in the 4.3 update. I'm used to my evo lte where i could just flash through twrp.
I am TMOB101 (the german t-mobile) i have successfully s-offed using rum runner.
There is no RUU for my phone as far as i know..
Is there a way to s-on again?
does rum runner backup my original hboot, so i can restore it to go back s-on?

You can flash the GuruReset ROM for your version: http://www.htc1guru.com/dld/guru_reset_m7_2-24-111-3-zip/
Make sure you choose to flash stock recovery and boot etc.
When all back to fully stock you are then safe to s-on again by issuing the following command: fastboot oem writesecureflag 3
Hope that comes in useful

Why do you need to s-on? And with s-off you can flash any RUU that you want. To s-on again, the command is "fastboot oem writesecureflag 3", but you need to be COMPLETELY stock before you do this, or you'll have a hard brick.

thank you for your answers.. I want to s-on to send back for warranty issues (purple tint).
I just want to understand how it works..
Rum runner installed an unsecured hboot. correct?
in order to s-off i need to go back to stock hboot first? people install RUU so they can install 1)stock rom, 2)stock radio, 3) stock recovery 4)stock hboot correct?
the Guru Reset rom just installs rom, recovery and radio (no hboot?)
can i just install any RUU and s-on? i thought i needed the one matching my phone
ok i found this http://www.htc1guru.com/guides/return-stock-guide/ and answered most of my questions.. except one:
As i said there is no RUU for me.. i will use a nandroid to restore most of the stuff. BUT there will be a mismatch between my stock Rom installed and the firmware (what is written in bootloader screen OS:XXXXXXX) How can i fix that?
can i just install the TMOB101 firmware from here http://android-revolution-hd.blogspot.gr/p/android-revolution-hd-mirror-site-var.html and fix the mismatch?

Once you flash the guru reset, and then perform the OTA, you'll be on the same firmware after install.
Yeah but that will be different than the one my cid is supposed to have.. won't HTC service notice?
Well, I'm usually able to dig myself out of messes I get myself into but this one has had me hunting a few hours. Here's the run-down.
1) S-OFF with 1.44 a while ago, rooted and unlocked bootloader
2) Got camera problem, would like to return phone to stock for warranty
3) Flashed a stock RUU, went fine. Stock recovery and bootloader work fine, hboot was upgraded to 1.55 (my mistake, should have noticed this)
4) Got sidetracked when trying to lock the bootloader and entered fastboot oem lock
So now I have a 're-locked' bootloader on 1.55 with S-OFF. I don't want to unlock through HTCDev, I can't use revone to unlock because I'm on 1.55, and I don't have a custom recovery, and can't flash one because I'm relocked.
Any ideas how I can unlock the bootloader here (or downgrade hboot, I have the zip but can't flash it)? I can probably handle the rest myself, after I smack myself over the head a few times.
The goal here is to have the bootloader 'LOCKED', and I'll then take my chances with S-ON, with the latest firmware but a downgraded (1.44) bootloader before handing it over for warranty purposes.
OK, it looks as though I can patch hboot files OK. Will take a look around for a patched one.
Hboot 1.44 will unlock using revone. Make sure to be on 1.x.x based ROM right after

Sorted, thanks. Found an older ROM that flashed fine with supercid. Think I'll keep S-OFF and just lock the bootloader. With this being a likely hardware issue I'm hoping I'll be fine with just that.
Hello everyone,
I've been trying to get back to stock on my Sprint HTC One. I have tried using the RUU in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2795856 and no luck. I am HBoot 1.55, S-ON, and running a stock rooted rom that is on 4.4.2
So here is what I tried. I relock my bootloader and proceed to run the RUU, but 2 times I get stuck on 4% so I have no luck. I tried getting S-Off and maybe that could help me bring back to stock, but that did not work either. Really need to get this phone back to Stock, any help is appreciate it, no one responded in that thread so I'm asking here. Thanks in advance.
You'll need to flash the Full Firmware first.
If it still gets stuck try a different USB Port...USB 2 work best or try a different PC.

That is what the video at the bottom of the first post on that thread is about, correct?
Don't I have to be S-Off for that? It says on the video that I have to, and I am not.

Use This Firmware
You will need to re-lock your bootloader (fastboot oem lock)
Flash firmware (follow the video)
Run the RUU and you will be back to stock.
You do not need to be s-off to do either.

Did you re-lock your bootloader?
Is the firmware in your adb/fastboot/platform tools folder?

Yes sir. Relocked, only that at the top it says "security warning." I renamed the folder to firmware.zip and it is on the platform tools folder. Did all the commands, but the second time I run the same command (like it says on the video) it gives me the error I mentioned and I don't even get the loading bar on the phone. Tried 3 times, no luck.

So Hboot 1.55, S-ON, and can't go back to stock?
Go to this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2658910
Download that RUU. Now, go into fastboot and relock your bootloader. Flash the firmware on that thread through fastboot, there's a video there showing you how. After that is done, go back to fastboot and you can run the RUU you downloaded from that thread. That's what I did and worked like a charm. Recommended if you use USB 2.0

Hi. You mean flash 4.06.651.4 version at first and then flash 5.05.651.2 version ? Is it update HBOOT from 1.55 to 1.56? What about warning message on that thread "***IMPORTANT NOTE*** you must first update your hboot to 1.56 to flash this 4.06 RUU, see full firmware below ( I recommend being s-off before doing so)"
I have. Hboot 1.55, S-on, Custom ViperOne 7.0.1

Just flash firmware 4.06.651.4 (you'll be on hboot 1.56) and then run that RUU. Don't worry about 5.05.651.2 firmware or RUU.
Make sure you relock your bootloader before anything.
Whenever the RUU is done and you're back in stock, you'll get the OTAs to 5.05.651.2, just telling you exactly what I did that worked, I also had a lot of trouble getting back to stock/unrooting.

Hi guys,
I had back to completely stock my m7 for guarantee 2 weeks ago. Yesterday i tried every possible way to s-off but i can't get it. So i tried run RUU for downgrade OS,hboot etc. relock bootloader. But accidentally RUU removed OS; no main version in getvar, stock recovery, relocked and there is a warning under relocked title it says ''security warning''
Run RUU or flash update.zip,rom.zip,ruu.zip no matter what,I get 'failed: remote signiture verify fail'. Phone does not boot, because no OS, so no adb. Is only way J-tag for ressurrect it

you can not downgrade with s-on!
re-unlock your bootloader, flash a custom recovery and a rom and achieve s-off with sunshine then follow nkk71's guide to return stock (linked in my sig)

I can't unlock bootloader back, flashing unlock_code.bin and allow prompt from phone, it goes to update screen, 2 minutes later i get red triangle screen. I have to unlock my bootloader without unlock_code but my hboot 1.57. So i think my device is dead
Try generating another unlock bin
